To add to this, I think the best rookie QB has been Stroud. I am really surprised the Texans are 3-4 and we even beat them. They may end up winning 8 or 9 games if Stroud stays healthy.

The Steelers are the strangest team. You look at their roster and QB and you think, they aren't that good. All they do is win though. How that team is 5-3 is a miracle. Tomlin is my Coach of the Year so far.

Regarding AR being injured, you aren't wrong, of course that is fact. Assuming he won't last and is made of glass is just an opinion though.

What if he plays every game next year and Levis gets injured? It could happen easily with the hits these guys take.

Great post. I agree 1000%. Problem I have is if someone is going to nitpick and make negative posts about AR over and over, then I can do the same as can anyone in here about Stroud, Levis or whoever. Folks can't have it both ways. I prefer to be unbiased and just judge what I see on the field game to game. With this being a Colts site, I am not going to let someone throw AR under the bus when he actually hasn't played that badly. Then turn around and say Levis is much better with nothing to back that up except 1 game.

I think Will Levis should start the rest of the year. Tannehill is washed. Levis gives the Titans the best chance to win.

Matt Stafford had the same injury his rookie year and missed a lot of games even in his 2nd year. His career turned out fine, he will probably make the Hall of Fame. There are other QB's too that have bounced back and played great. Lamar is doing it this year and he was injured the last couple years. He is even a running QB first.

You might be the first person in here that have said, we are better than the Titans. Interesting. I remember going into that game, many thought the Titans had a better all-around team, and AR was even the starter.

Not all stats are the same. I agree. Both QB's could have identical stats but it is the QB that makes the game winning plays at the end to win is what matters, that is the most important thing, and all people remember. Unless someone follows the Colts closely, nobody is going to remember the near perfect 2nd Half that AR put up against the Rams, where he led a 23-0 comeback, it is because we lost in OT. Stafford got all the glory.

I do think Jvan went a little overboard, so I made a long post in response to his. I agree with some of what he is saying. I did post you can't lump everyone in the same boat. So regarding you, his post doesn't apply. I will say this, I think 50% of us have great fans, they are loyal, and honest, and critical of the team where it isn't demeaning, but I think we have around 50% that are wishy washy. They are spoiled from the Peyton/Luck era and they like to bash the team for fun. I just go by what I read which shows what kind of fan someone is.

Jordan Addison picked 23rd by the Vikings is having a great season, Jalen Carter who would have went 2nd had it not been for him getting in trouble with the law. He is having a great season He went 9th. There are 2 more.

You give up on AR after a shoulder injury and only playing 5 games, ok that is your opinion. People now days have 0 patience, it makes me want to do this

The steal of the draft is Puka Nucua. He got drafted in Round 5 at #177 by the Rams. It is not even close.

I think so, nothing against Will Levis but I think AR has a higher ceiling. Problem in here with some posters that wanted Levis, if you criticized Levis at all you are looked at like a hater. How anyone can say Levis played good last night is baffling. He completed 56% of his passes and didn't have a TD passing or running. He also had the game ending pick. If that is someone's definition of good, it doesn't take much to please someone. If AR had a game like that, some in here would be bashing him. I am not going to say someone played good or bad just because I am not a fan or fan of them. I keep it real, I thought Levis played great vs the Falcons for example.

When assessing these rookie QB's, let's keep it fair. Block out who you wanted in the draft or who you like and just judge what you see on the field. It is not about being right or wrong, assess each game as they play. I will just do AR vs Levis, My assessment of AR: Game 1, Jacks - he played average. Game 2, at Houston - he played good until he left with a concussion. Game 3, at Baltimore - did not play due to injury. No grade. Game 4, Rams - he played average. he had a bad 1st half, great 2nd half. Game 5, Titans - he played good but left with a shoulder injury. -Out for the season. Overall grade = above average but his injuries are a concern. My assessment of Levis: Games 1-6 - did not play. Coaches' choice. No grade. Game 7, Falcons - he played great. Game 8, at Pittsburgh - he played average tonight. -Overall grade = above average simply because we only have 2 games to judge him on and 1 of them was average. He has 6 no grades. To me between those 2, it is way too early to tell who will be better. These are my unbiased opinions/assessments, and I wanted AR before the draft. We have a long way to go to fully judge AR because he won't be able to play until next season.

Yeah, it was a 4th and 5 if I remember but Hopkins has always got that call. He is a Hall of Fame WR so if it is close, I can see it. The calls the Browns got against us were puke!

I stated a fact by saying he failed twice that was all and you jump all over me for it. I should have expected it. I never said anything about standards for a rookie QB. I was just assessing 1 game, just like we assessed last game where I thought Levis played great with 4 TD's and he won.
