  1. So there I did it. I just started a thread on Brady and his rankings if he wins this game.

Have at it folks. And realize it is a debate if Brady wins this game Sunday. A strong one.

But, in some ways this game does seem strange to me being the location and who is in it. Yikes.

  2. One of the Giants blog said they counted and Eli was asked more Peyton questions today than superbowl questions

Yeah not sure I like this. I know Brady also commented on Peyton since they are friends.

I was kinda hoping it would not be like this but it was near inevitable considering where the SB is and who is in it. *sigh*

  3. Move past Montana in the public view for best ever or tie him or just sit behind him etc?

I am not a big fan of QB rankings. But, if your team has won 4 SBs and you won 2 MVPs and have a few records in your back pocket then like it or not.......Brady will get GOAT consideration by many.

The Montana supporters will point out that he never lost a SB though and never threw a pick in any of them.

The non Brady/Montana supporters will point out it's a team game and that debate will rage on.

Regardless, I have to admit I will be impressed if the Pats win it all this year with THIS defense of theirs which at times this season has looked pathetic to me.

  4. i never was a big fan of farve so him being surpassed by aaron doesnt surprise me. As far as luck he may or may not become an elite qb but to say that he will have the drive like peyton does to be that good is highly unlikely. (Although possible) take rodgers out of the line up n they would still have a good team. (Like the season finale) take manning out of colts line up and they are 2-14. But i do get what you are sayin. I hope im wrong...i just dont think he will ever match manning. Just my opinion

What if he matches him in playoff wins or gets more someday?

Many Packers fans criticized Aaron until he got that ring and now an MVP is coming.

Like I said, it's all about winning. If we end up with Luck and he suceeds his bandwagon will grow larger and larger. The pressure will be on. He is a smart guy though and I think he can deal with it. I don't think many would expect an overnight miracle with the situation here.

Speaking of Luck, I wonder how he feels watching all this unfold in the media and seeing Colts fans wave his jersey around.

  5. Before we drafted him Peyton told us if we didnt draft him hed kick our butts up and down the field for the next 15 years. I really believe if we dont bring him back he'll stick to his words (maybe not 15 years)

What if the Luck led Colts beat the Manning led....whoever they are. I mean the world would explode.

Then all of a sudden people like doogan would be on the Luck train since he beat Manning head to head!!!!

  6. Well if Manning looks old I don't want you to see a picture of me. haha I personally thought he looked pretty good but that is my opinion and it usually isn't worth much. haha

I am a picky female. I can't help it. *sigh* I also was once a makeup artist so I am often staring at skin/wrinkles.

  7. your controversy isnt if we draft luck or not, its if we keep peyton. You have been on ghis forum for months preaching to everyoene that peyton is good as gone and we need to except it. We all know we are gonna draft luck. But ur gonna have to eat alot of crow if we keep manning! You will have to disappear from this forum because you will have lost all credibility! Luck may turn out good but ur dreamin if you think he will ever be manning bro. Dont know why you want him gone so bad.

I honestly think it's unfair to compare Luck to anyone right now who is established. IMO he has all the tools/brains/leadership etc. of being a top QB someday but has not even joined the league yet. It is unfair.

I know Packers fans who didn't want Rodgers either once and no way would he replace Favre.

Winning cures everything. If the Luck led Colts someday win big games then people will be kissing his butt. If he is a bust, then we are in trouble.

  8. I might be alone but this interview made me feel worse about Peyton. He IMO looked old and I felt he just said all the right things people want to hear. It was nothing at times.

If you pick anything up it's that Manning wants to play and fully intends to come back.

I still feel in my gut right now that Manning will be released sometime after the SB. When I don't know. But, I feel the writing has been on the wall and this team is rebuilding around Andrew Luck for a new era.

  9. I think everyone agrees that eventually the Manning era is to be over. Does it have to be now? do we have to deal in absolutes? Manning or LUCK? the fact that were even saying Lucks name in the same sentence as Manning baffles the mind. I sure minds with alot more insite are working on these decisions as I am also sure that these same minds need to be taking "all" of PM into this decison ie Everything hes done here. All this contingent upon the physical. Lord be with PM and hoping that he returns to the colts as QB or some other capacity. Regardless, those of u Luck, Luck, Luckers, don't be so quick to Railroad PM out. U may get ur wish and Luck "may" be a bust. would ya be posting then?

I have no idea how good Luck may be but he is a talented and intelligent young man. If he is the future I will support him 100%. I won't be like one of the old Favre supporters who booed Rodgers at camp and sent him nasty letters since he "stole" their dream man's job.

  10. And what is being described here? Because he looks old to a woman on this forum (WHICH HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING). that plays into him not coming back from neck surgery to play football? LOL this is too good.

I think he may play next year. Not sure where though. I think he may be too much a competitor to hang it up. I do think Irsay has been hoping Peyton would retire though to make this easier.

  11. I don't think he will be a bust. He has the physical skills, the brains and the leadership. He has the whole package IMO. It depends on how the team gels around him too and rebuilds.

I also hope some are not hoping he is a bust if the Colts draft him. It's like the die hard Favre fans hoping Rodgers would be a bust. And they were there....and they booed him in TC.....and some even sent bad letters to him. Some despised the guy who replaced their legend.

  12. And this ^ is the type of observation women are better at than men in many instances.

Manning did say, "the sooner the better" when talking about concluding this matter. I could be wrong but I still don't believe there will be enough medical certainty and/or performance progression in five weeks to trigger the 28M bonus. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have a healthy Manning back, just looking at this at face value. Saw an Irsay video interview where he said (paraphrasing) "I'll leave emotions out of it when making the decision on Peyton." We'll see.

Yes, we are an important part of the world. ;) We see things men don't.

Yes Peyton wants this taken care of the sooner the better he basically implied. Which means following the SB this thing is going to become more hard core then ever IMO.

If Peyton is going to play next year whether it's with the Colts or another team I believe he wants to know where he may be headed sooner then later.
