Wrong. Revis is the MVP.
And yes, Jimmy G could have brought this team into the playoffs.
If Revis was in the secondary for the Pats in the two super bowls (2007, 2011) the Pats would have won I bet.
And Revis will be 30 next year. Brady 38. You don't seem to understand how fast player's decline as they get older. It's actually a bigger gamble to resign Brady at 38 than it is to resign Revis at 30.
Stop. Please. Already. No corner is the MVP of any team. Sorry to break it to you.
Jimmy would have been crushed this season under the weight of competition the Pats faced. He is a rookie and would have looked like it.
Both Brady and Revis are signed through next season in case you missed it ....

Brady ran Thompkins and soon Dobson out of town. I wouldn't be surprised if Tyms is gone after that. Thompkins, Dobson and Tyms aren't the "Welker/Edelman" dink and dunk type WR's that Brady likes. Those guys can actually sprint down field for 50 yard bombs.
What? How did Brady run Thompkins out of town? He was one of his top targeted receivers last year. Thompkins was not good enough to make the team this year with the addition of Lafells who has been a stud with Brady all year.
Dobson has been hurt in case you missed that. He is on the team but is behind Lafells, Edelman and Amendola on the depth chart.
Are you joking with Tyms? If they guy had any talent at all, he would have been out there more than two games...

Reseeding is the best way to go. Having a better record than another team should count for something.
-
I am not surprised he does not want to retire but if this season is an indication of a decline in his game than next year could be really ugly to watch. I really hope he walks away before we have to witness an ugly end to a historic career.

Brady is on the far left and Jimmy is on the far right. It actually is pretty easy to tell.
Brady is on the left and Gronk is on the right. You know their two most marketable players that actually play unlike Jimmy ....

Eddie White even said it on DD's show a few weeks ago... Like Eddie or not he is connected.
Who is Eddie White?

"Fandom" ? You need to understand some basic things. It's called not being a "homer" and you think any criticism of the Pats means someone hates the Pats. You're incapable of seeing things independently and looking at both sides of the issue. You can't think "objectively." And you take things too personal when one makes objections to the Pats. Relax. People have different opinions. And I am a Pats fan and not some "Green teamer."
Criticism is one thing but your statements are completely outlandish.

So much for Knighton's guarantee that the Broncos would not lose another game this season, http://www.csnne.com/blog/patriots-talk/knighton-guarantees-broncos-will-beat-patriots
Did not even last a week ... lol.

If the basis of a 12 win team being better than an 8 win team is true, then the 12 win team should be able to win on the road. They obviously won enough on the road to win 12 games in the first place.
Unless we bring in head-to-head into the picture, in which case the Colts won vs the Chargers in 2008 in the regular season, that would be the only case where I would agree to do the flipping of home field.
The issue isn't about what a team should be able to do but how a team should be rewarded for its performance in the regular season. Home field is a huge advantage in the NFL given it is a one game scenario. Lose and you are out. For a team that has not even won 8 games to get home field over an 11 win team is terrible in terms of a competitive environment. Reseeding is the easiest way to solve it.

Before he went hurry up there was some serious hidden schemes Bengals put on- as the announcers said- did they have Denver's play book. Once he went hurry up the Bengals had no time to confuse him.
They knew all his hand signals. It was eerie. They were all over him and would not let him get set. I have no idea why they went away from the hurry up. That was the only time their offense clicked all game.

Out of curiosity why do you have the Colts ahead of SD? (I agree with everything else, especially after last night's game).
I think the Colts have been more consistent than SD and I think Rivers is really hurt. I would expect the Colts to beat them in Indy.

Manning's pick last night reminded me of the Super Bowl vs the Saints when he laid it up to Porter when the Colts were driving to take the lead. He seems to throw these a lot in critical situations. Not sure how close he is to Favre for the most all time but he has to be close.

Colts fans have to whine about the refs more than any other fan base. Doors blown off, team didn't even show up, Luck was pulled in the third quarter, Romo had such a fantastic day that he is now in the MVP discussion ... and you are discussing a taunting call? Really? How about the ridiculous fake punt from your own 20??

Good for him. Just in case you over looked Wilson plays for a super bowl caliber team. Name me one QB that has had the success in their first three years as Luck? But also keep in mind Luck started out with a total new team, not a team full of veterans. A rookie GM, head coach and then OC. Put Luck on the Seahawks and they would be even better. Wait,, I smell bird do do in here.
Wilson plays the position better regardless of team.

If the Bengals fall to the Broncos tomorrow night and then to the Steelers the following week, they are out of the playoffs. Bengals - Steelers game is next Sunday nights Game. Steelers have already clinched playoff birth, and could take Division. Should be interesting games next week.
No. They could still be a WC even if they lose both games because the Bills lost yesterday and the Ravens.
-
Dominant performance last night not just from the D which was expected against a third string QB but the O. Wow. Wilson was on fire both passing and running and then Lynch who was in full beast mode. This team is playing better right now then they were at the end of last season.

The scuttle is Ryan will go into broadcasting. I doubt he takes a DC job after being HC for six years. He will get a HC job again I think but probably not next year. No good job available either. If Pagano does go after next season, I could see Rex wanting to come to Indy and finally have a decent QB.

He said it was unintentionally. Does he know we have the video?

16 picks. That is a lot. That was his rap as well coming out of college. He is not Andy Dalton but he is not top tier either. Beats up on the dregs of the league to get his stats for the most part.
Yesterday Wilson went 21 for 30 for 300+ yards, 2 TDs and no picks. Oh and he also ran for 88 yards and a TD vs Arizona. Arizona. The kid is money especially in big games.

well of course every nfl personnel has been in college before. Their dream is to go to the NFL. I dont understand the concept of colleges reaching out to NFL coaches. Unless your Saban or someone really horrible.
Bill was not. He did not play college football either.
Jim played college football and coached college football prior to his NFL coaching career and why wouldn't Michigan reach out? Plenty of NFL coaches have left the pro game to coach in the college game.
-
hes not going to downgrade himself to college. that doesnt make sense for a coach of his caliber. What would be next? Bellichick going to Oregon?
Harbaugh was in college before. Bill was not. Plus it is Jim's alma mater that is putting 8 mil on the table. I would not blame him for taking the job ...
-
Except that this didn't happen at all.
The ball reached the 48 yard marker.
That was clearly where the official marker was.
Therefore, a clear and easy first down .
Yeah that was my take as well. When they marked the ball it was at the 48 yard marker. I don't know what went on with the chains but it was a first down.
Should Pats rest their starters for week 17?

You really don't know much about football contracts do you? Brady's base salary is $7 mil next year. He is not playing for that amount as he was given a $33 mil bonus two years ago when he signed his $24 mil extension so he will count $13 mil against the cap. So Brady has been paid AND the Pats have a huge break on the cap next season and the following two ... it is a win/win on both sides.
If they cut him, they will absorb an $18 mil cap hit. Not happening as much as you want your boy Jimmy to play.
