  1. QBR is also flawed, It sometimes rates a player such as Tim Tebow over Aaron Rodgers while Rodgers went 26 of 39 for 396 yards 2 td's while Tebow completed 4 of 10 for 79 yards and a td's, 4 rushes 38 yards and a td while Tebow only played a half...In other words Rodgers was basically penalized for playing the full game, Top QB's in the game cant even explain the stat

No system is perfect. But we are nine games in now. The cream rises to the top by this point in the season.

  2. your going to have to do better then that if you want to make a debate out of this, The only fact is this, Just because you claim it as fact don't make it fact....I agree he is playing better than Wilson but Brady also has one of the best TE's in the game ....Of course Brady is not playing better then Ben

What do weapons have to do with it? That is not what Simms argued. He was arguing age and physical ability which is the part that makes no sense. Brady has a better QBR than Ben and a MUCH better QBR than Wilson.

  3. Pats are going to win the turnover battle. We haven't been great at taking care of the ball this year. So we need to either jump out ahead, or keep them in arms reach.

Current form for both teams, I would pencil in a Pats W if this was in NE. But Colts at home, I give them a shot in a shoot out. Luck's going to toss at least 2 INTs though.

My thoughts exactly. Colts will turn it over but it depends at what point in the game. Can't have Luck start the game like he did last year in the playoffs and throw one right to them for an early 7-0 lead.

  4. Two FG and 2 TDs in four possessions is the very definition of breaking. I don't know if you understood or not, but those are the only four offensive possessions the Saints had, from the FG at the end of the second half to the end of the game. That's it. And they scored on every one of them. You can't give up 5 points per possession in the NFL. The defense got its butt kicked.

Yes, Brees was really good, but he completed over 80% of his passes, never got touched in the second half, and hardly even threw a contested pass. No one is suggesting that we were going to shut them out, but we didn't have to give them scores on every possession. The defensive gameplan was terrible.

How about the Colts possessions? Only 7 points after getting up early 10-0 ....

I remember thinking when they got early that the game was going to be a blow out or at the very least they could put up a lot of points... stunning what happened./

The defense only surrendered 24 and 7 of that came on the short field after the on-sides kick. Hard to ask them to do more than that vs that offense and Freeney only being effective for one half. They could not press up with no pass rush.

TOP was equal too, just not enough scoring.

  5. I think many don't understand what Simms said....I don't know why....Seemed pretty clear to me...It had NOTHING to do with numbers or achievements.....It had to do with physical ability RIGHT NOW......Seemed pretty clear :dunno:

If the physical ability was affecting performance then I would be on board with Simms. But exactly how is Brady limited? He is actually moving better this season than he has in years. He has never had a good deep ball other than with Moss so I am not sure how that is a proof point to his physical decline? He can still throw it just not very accurately which has always been true.

This should have focused on Brees who is the QB that has most notably fallen out of the top 5. He is usually in that "elite" group.

  6. In general, QBs throw more interceptions on the road. And road QBs in general throw more interceptions in Gillette. There's no reason that phenomenon wouldn't apply to Andrew Luck. Of course he's mentally tough, but that doesn't mean it's not harder to play a road game in Gillette.

I could not agree with you more. Gillette is one of the hardest places for an opposing QB to play. Manning has a boat load of INTs there and Luck has been no different in two games. The combo of Brady, Bill and Foxboro is usually too much for most opposing QBs.

  7. When I watch Luck I see a more mobile version of Drew Bledsoe. Great big arm, can take a hit and shake off tacklers but makes 2-3 plays a game that are head scratching. That was his rap in college as well. I have a tough time believe the Colts will ever win a championship with him. These types of tendencies don't go away. They creep in at the most inopportune times. I am sure BB is licking his chops like he was every time he faced Bledsoe.
