  1. After seven years and 4000 passes a quarterback is what he is. In Flacco's case he's an above average quarterback who can beat you with the deep ball but is also relatively inaccurate and makes poor decisions at times. I don't buy that Flacco suddenly transforms into a different quarterback during the playoffs. If you look at his stats over his last five playoff games the only thing that jumps off the page as being radically different is a 13/0 TD/Int ratio. For a guy who has a career TD pct of 4.0 and Int pct of 2.5 this is an aberration that is most likely due to a small sample size and is unsustainable. The more playoff games that Flacco plays the more likely he is to regress to the mean and I wouldn't be surprised if that regression begins against the Patriots.

Yep. This pretty much. Well said. This Ravens team is 1-6 vs good teams year.

  2. Any quarterback (any pocket passing quarterback anyway) is in danger of having the worst game of their life when they play Seattle. Old stats and accolades don't cancel that out.

Romo and Rivers had great games this year vs Seattle ...

  3. Right now I'd take Flacco over every other QB in the playoffs.

He's playing at a top level, a lot better than the other guys are at the moment.

As much as we make fun of him over the years, he does deserve credit. He beat the touted Pittsburgh Steelers when I said the Steelers would have problems and people thought I was nuts. So glad that overrated team is out of it.

Pats need to be worried about this one. The Ravens are not a cupcake that is going to roll over and let them beat on them. As much as the Pats struggled offensively in certain games, I'd be worried. Brady is due for another game where he looks god awful and the fans start screaming for Jimmy G.

Is every team that loses overrated in your opinion? Many people picked the Ravens to beat the Steelers but not because of Flacco but because they were missing their best offensive weapon in Bell.

  4. If the Jets are your number one rival, it just shows how ridiculous your division has been lately.

Then the Pats have no rival as no team has beaten them consistently. It was Denver for awhile but since Tebow and Manning arrived, the Pats are now 5-1 over the last few years. I suppose you could say the Giants although not sure the overall record since 2001 but they don't play often enough to be rivals.

  5. If this was true, the league would have rigged the boys winning their last regular season game each of the last 3 seasons to get them into the playoffs ... yesterday was hardly the first poorly officiated post-season game. Just ask Seattle when they played Pitt in the SB.

  6. Btw.. you are are nothing but aces and we have no problem with you and a lot of other Pat fans. I would challenge anyone to find anything unfair I've ever said about Brady or the Pats. When your guys MJD and american came on and made a case to say Luck was no better than Andy Dalton , it's just going to be a battle as far as I'm concerned. I will call those two out at every opportunity I get.

Good luck with that. Dalton was missing his top two WRs yesterday but I am sure it felt good to see Andrew put a nail in the debate at least for this season anyways. Here's hoping he takes out Manning on Sunday although I don't have much confidence in that hope ...

  7. Tom is obviously better than Cassel but Tom becomes a below average QB under pressure and after getting hit a few times.  He throws tantrums, pouts and will become a brat and go in shut down mode when things don't go his way.  But when things go his way he's quick to run into the end zone and head butt players and act like the total shi%.

Tom is very UP and down.  Since 2006 during the biggest post season games he's been flat with lack of emotion and passion.  Why wasn't he all hyped up with emotion on the sidelines during of the two super bowls against the Giants?  Or last year in the AFC title game?

You mean the two SBs when he walked off the field with the lead with minutes to go and watched the defense let it up?

  8. No you said Cinn was better off without Green . There's no proof of that as they lost the game. Can you prove they would have still lost and there would have been picks ? And no you can't goad me into commenting on the intelligence of someone saying a team is better off without their best player . Troll on....

Someone has a hair across ....

  9. Geez guy .. who said this ...

"It is better Green is out for the Bengals " You went on to say the reason would be less picks. Are you saying like the Lions and Lions should take a sledge hammer to Megatron and Dez 's knees ?

Yes, less picks and Dalton threw zero. I was right. Never said CIncy would win.

  10. This game says otherwise. You don't think they would trade no picks for a few more TDs. Or the ability to spread the field and open up the run game?

It's okay friend. You were looking for a quick dig, and it wasn't all that thought out. Not a big deal.

And then you immediately contradicted yourself. It's not working out this time around.

Again, not the point but keep going this is entertaining.

  11. Not when you trade off any ability to get the ball down the field, or consistently score.

    You're a bit of a joke buddy.

Still can't even defend your own contradictions either. Sad.

Point was picks but keep trying to make it about something more. Picks hurt more than not throwing completions.
