  1. You know what...if I owned a team I'd draft the top OLman every year. Every year. Every year would be an upgrade. Every year. So sick of busted shoulders, lacerated internal organs (seriously) etc on future GOAT quarterbacks. 1 of our obvious favorites can kiss GOAT status goodbye if his Luck doesn't change soon...pun intended.

Can't argue there. Unless you can get lucky like we did finding some gems back in the day like we did with Jeff Saturday. And if you keep picking o lineman hopefully and eventually a few turn out to be studs.

I am leaning more and more towards the o line first (or second round) argument as time goes by and we seen what has happened to Luck with well numerous injuries and near organ failure.

In the past though for many many years I always harped on run stoppers and pass rushers first.......and sometimes I think I was guilty of getting sucked into the two Giants SB wins and seeing their pass rush on Brady and going ZOMG I WANT DAT!

I think deep down the Colts o line was a bit in shambles when Luck got here to begin with like with many QBs taken high in the draft on a bad team. Peyton had a better o line when drafted. Grigson kinda made the o line worse a bit but it wasn't that good to start with. Also with Manning though, Howard Mudd was a terrific o line coach so he could work more magic then. And Manning had the laser fast release.

I don't always think though you need loads of high o line picks if the coaching is good enough too to work with less talent and develop the offense around it. In 2012 Arians was completely back aazz insane with winding Luck up and having him chuck it all the time, but at least it gave us a lot of Reggie Wayne highlights.

Well pass rushers are what defeat linemen, the most important part (or seemingly the most important part when you go a while without a good OL), so your thinking isn't that far off from mine. It's the same shoe just on the other foot.

I always wanted a hardcore pass rush. Back when we had Freeney/Mathis I used to want that coveted good third pass rusher as well but we had major issues finding him.

I got heavily romanced by the stupid 2007 Giants too and seeing how they had 3 top pass rushers and won it all squashing Brady. My line of thinking may have been what Polian had too since he did draft bust Jerry Hughes and we all got excited and well......

A dominant third pass rusher is something I always wanted back in the day either at DE or DT. Dungy's D used to click the best with a top DT who could do it all and we had terrible luck at DT.

Now......I will just take "a pass rusher". Since Mathis had his final hurrah it's been pretty dreadful here.
