  1. The Giants are done picking. I wish the Vikes had taken that approach -- take fewer but better players. Trade some 5th to 7th round picks to move up. Now we have 4 sixth round picks. Will they make the team? With a team like the Vikes, there is just so many roster spots on the 53. Many of our picks will be cut, as there is no room on the 53.

Draft better players and get some UDFAs.

Did NFLfan's punter just go to the Seahawks?

Gil Brandt had this guy as a 4th round talent.  HE just admitted it.  Talented punter he says.

haha I liked him but I don't mind us not drafting him. Let's see what we do with our 4 sixth round draft picks.

Mayock said he could only find 2 teams that have cleared him.

I hope someone drafts him. If he does have what Len Bias has, then I could see why teams have shied away from drafting him. I would take a chance on him. I also wanted the Vikes to use a 6th or 7th round pick on Lael Collins too.

    I did see that.....

..they must believe in Case because they passed on many QBs....

Sutton is kind of a protégé of Emmanuel Sanders..both went to SMU

..and I've watched Jewell play against Purdue and Mikchigan and Indiana

If hes not hurt I don't know why he was in  the 5th round.  I love this group..

..but I'm sure you know, you can see what you want to see on draft day

We are still in the 4th round.

But I like Jewell too. I picked him for the Steelers in the Colts Forum Mock Draft. He looked like a Steeler.

I'm biased but I'm very happy with Denver

    Bradley Chubb..

a new set of WRs in Courtland Sutton and Desean Hamilton

..The Boston College corner Ike Yiadom

The big Oregon RB Royce Freeman..5,000 yards rushing in college

..and the Iowa Linebacker Josey Jewell..who started for 3 years and was all-Big-10

Emmanuel Sanders and Demaruis Thomas are over 30 years old.

.They just let go RB CJ Anderson and Aquib Talib....and drafted replacements for all of them

They have to trust Case Keemun to be what he was last season...because they got him real help here

You may have missed it. I love DaeSean Hamilton. Broncos have had a very good draft.

    Mo Hurst

    Josh Sweat

    Holton Hill

    Tyrell Crosby

    Eq. St Brown

    Quenton Meeks

    Andrew Brown

    Jamarco Jones

the first 3 have various issues - Hurst the heart, Sweat seems to have degenerative knee condition, Holton Hill - various red flags so that might be why they are still on the board...

I haven't studied the different teams hauls so far so I will reserve my right to comment on it for later. I liked what the Titans did by getting Landry in the second and Evans in the first, but they traded their 3d and 4th picks in the process...

Thank you. You like St. Brown more than Hamilton?

  7. I think I did a better job at drafting players than my Vikings did. haha

    My picks for the Vikings:

2nd. #41: Ronnie Harrison, S, Alabama (surprised he dropped to #93 to the Jags. What a defense the Jags will have!

2nd. #64: Austin Corbett, C/G, Nevada (Was taken at the top of the 3rd)

3rd. #94: Ian Thomas, TE, Indiana (not yet drafted)

3rd #95: Temoko Turay, LB/DE, Rutgers (selected by your Colts. I did not know much about him but the Vikings site said the Vikes liked him.)

4th Rd #104: Holton Hill, CB, Texas (is still available to be drafted)

So far the Vikes have drafted Mike Hughes, CB, UCF and Brian O'Neill, OL, Pitt. They traded back in the 3rd and will have a high 4th round pick (2nd pick). I don't like their approach. It makes more sense to draft fewer but better players since we don't have that many roster spots. We can load up on UDFAs to fill up the 90 man roster but in the draft we should have tried to get better players. The Vikes have 5 or 6 picks (so far) today.

Edit: Vikes have 8 picks today.

Some of the tackles are still on the board - Crosby(my OT3), Jamarco Jones, Rankin... from the developmental ones - Cappa, Okorafor, Harrison, Noteboom....

From the interior linemen - everybody I had day 2 value for are gone. Wyatt Teller left.

edit: O'Neill is a developmental one too - you just got him.

Thank you! Of the ones left, I liked Crosby the best. I saw O'Neill mocked to us a few times. I don't know how much I like this pick. I wanted Wynn, Ragnow and Corbett.

Good luck on the next pick.
