  1. Thanks! He's a good backup option to Mahomes in that offense.
  2. There's a decent chance I won't be here for round 1 to everyone here. If not, I will be picking at pick 12 and will have a list. Am willing to do a trade down if someone wants to do a trade up to 12. Have to do it in the next 6-8 hours though. So if anyone is up now and wants to do a trade up, I might work out a deal.
  3. Based on Ballards drafts in 2018-2020 where he had picks in that range, I think he would do this trade if offered. This is Ballards sweet spot for drafting. I realize we moved down from 3 to 6 to get a lot of these 2nd round picks in this range those years, but Ballard loves his round 2 picks.
  4. It happened with Grigson because he was one of the worst drafting GMs in history and we had no good, cheap talent to supplement FA from the draft to develop. Ballard is a great drafter. If he would spend in FA and make some trades for guys like Sneed and Reddick, we could easily draft enough good cheap talent to build around them and compete. It's only a problem when you have a historically bad drafting GM like Grigson.
  5. Is everyone ready for baseball to start? I know we had the two games in South Korea, but for the rest of the MLB, baseball begins! I have to wait for the Braves to play til tomorrow cause of the weather, but am looking forward to baseball beginning in two hours!
  6. I may not be available because I'm having roof repairs and they have to remove the antenna, which will cause me to lose internet for the day. I'll message you my top 5 picks for the Broncos in round 1.
  7. Whether Ballard said it or not, there's no doubt he took the job because of Andrew Luck. There was very little on the team after Grigson destroyed it that was attractive to a new GM. Ballard thought he could rebuild the team around Luck and it didn't happen that way and he was blindsided. Ballard didn't blame Reich, but it was Reichs fault about not getting a young, franchise QB unless it was Irsay specifically who told Ballard to get Rivers, Wentz, and Ryan in succession. He probably approved it, but those were Reichs ideas. He was hired by Ballard and Ballard gave in. Even a fan knows that a team has a better chance of getting their franchise QB through the draft than FA. Ballard is a snake oil salesman IMO. He sells people on a garbage vision on how he will compete, and it never materializes. It's like those pyramid scheme scammers. You give money and it never works out. In this case, fans spend money on the product and give their time to the team and it never works out, and he never changes his stripes. There's a good chance I don't watch a game this year. I just don't care at this point. I'm basing it on what we do in the draft at this point. Doesn't seem fair, but Ballard always puts that pressure on himself anyway. So if he wants to run it back with the same old team plus the draft, then the draft better be elite and fix the secondary and fill the rest of our depth weaknesses or I have no interest in watching another crapshow of a season. Last three years were brutal for me. I can't handle Ballard as the GM anymore or watching the teams play that are built by him.
  8. Probably has no offers and is cheap. That's all I can think of.
  9. Yep. As a Broncos fan I hated him. Absolute scumbag on the field. He headhunts. Don't want him on the Colts.
  10. Yep, he said that after Luck retired (even though he took the job because of Andrew Luck). Now it's suddenly about the QB when that's the reason he's failing and it gives him a convenient excuse not to change his FA strategy. Blame Reich on the QB (in the fans eyes), then blame the lack of a QB even though it wasn't about the QB at the beginning of your tenure. Ballard is changing his tune and getting exposed.
  11. Rams are signing Tredavious White if it hasn't been posted already. Another big CB gone we could have gotten.
  12. I took a break from the forum for a couple days. Went to the casino with my dad on back-to-back days. We had some fun playing blackjack. Ended up winning $182.50 profit between the two sessions. Seems like things are mostly the same here. Was hoping for a secondary signing lol. May watch Ballard and Steichen comment on the owners meetings, it's just another thing where I'd yell at them through the computer screen lol. Don't know who I'm more mad at, Ballard, or the media for enabling him by asking softball questions and feeding his ego.
  13. My dog is sleeping on my bed next to me right now. She's a 2-year-old Labrador Retriever. She's helped keep me in a good place the last two years and given me purpose. Took her for a bath and to get her nails cut this morning.
  14. I would just get Blackmon back at this point. Maybe go after Ahkello Witherspoon at CB and call it a day in FA. That'll give us a good secondary heading into the draft and keep our options open.
  15. It forces AR to be perfect and have to score more every game because the secondary is allowing more points. It's a fact that the Colts allow QBs to carve us up most games. Especially dual-threat QBs, which are becoming more common every year.
  16. I'm saying the only fact we know is that we won 9 games last year with Minshew as the starting QB (Richardson technically was credited with 2 wins, but he didn't finish the games). Anything with AR is assumption right now. Again, it doesn't help when you don't improve the team and just throw Richardson in there with a bad secondary. The odds of making the SB are very low. You have to look at possibility Vs probability. It's possible we make the SB or win it. It's also possible I can hit a jackpot on a slot machine. The probability is very low, and that probability stays low when we don't trade for guys like Sneed when getting the chance to do so. Realistically, we are probably the 8th-10th best team in the AFC. Right on the outside of playoff contention. Probably the 2nd-3rd best team in the division. That's not good enough. It's an insult to AR that Ballard says he's the best player in the draft last year, and won't build an elite team around him. Get Sneed, and maybe AR won't have to score 30 points a game to win.
  17. They can't pay the contract. Though I'm sure the injury concerns were part of it. They are also paying Chris Jones and Marquise Brown.
  18. The Chiefs played the Dolphins, Bills, and Ravens in the playoffs and I'm pretty sure their secondary took them far. Including the regular season where Mahomes had a bad year by his standards and the defense was elite and helped win them a SB last season.
  19. Then we should build around him as if he's the guy. That's the major issue I have, that we aren't doing that.
