Who's the best Colts player from each decade: 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90', 00's, 10's (not many years into this decade though). I'll list mine. Sorry if this thread has already been done, I didn't see one but maybe there is I don't know.
1950's: Gino Marchetti
1960's: Johnny Unitas
1970's: Bert Jones
1980's: Duane Bickett
1990's: Marshall Faulk
2000's: Peyton Manning
2010's: Andrew Luck (Decade isn't over yet so it might change)
That is a hard list to beat! It seems almost unfair we had Unitas, Jones, Manning, and now Luck. And teams like the Cards or Bears go so long with mediocre QBs.
A couple of thoughts. Ray Donaldson might be up there with best player of the 80s. He played the entire decade at a high level. But Bickett was a monster too so no argument there. Jeff Herrod might have been best of 90s. Again, Faulk is so good no argument there.
Great list and post!

Once he got in the game, he seemed to be on every tackle.

He looked like Ray Lewis out there.

That's a minute of my life I will never get back. Horrible, horrible joke.

It bothers me when they AREN'T combined. Its the same team. The Raiders didn't eliminate the records they had in LA. The Rams have been in 3 cities

This is one that can't really be a winner. If the O-line does open up running lanes, someone will say our defense sucks and Chapman needs to be benched. If the D-Line stops them, someone will say Holmes, Thornton and Thomas suck. So which do you want to hear?

I think Luck is somewhat deceiving. He has a very odd motion and delivery. Like they said before Pro Day, he looks like he really isn't trying to throw the ball hard. Like flicking his wrist, but it gets out of there. So I think he is deceiving. But he gets it done.

What a happy day!!!! What a happy day!!! That * drove me crazy. He clearly knew nothing about the Colts.

Something I love about Grigson is that I think with players he swings for the fences. Meaning, it seems he would rather take a chance on a high upside guy who can flame out versus a borderline player who might contribute but never be anything more than that. So I think he will have his share of misses. But it is worth it if the hits are above average. For example, I have a feeling about Erik Swoope that he is going to be a very good NFL TE. Why? Not only does he have the physical skills but listen to the guy talk. He is very smart and works his butt off. Obviously, Freeman has been a great signing. McNary has been better than what was expected, I think. So I know Grigson gets ripped a bit on the 2013 draft because the bottom end of the draft didn't do anything. I think it again comes down to him looking for that diamond or bust attitude.I know we haven't seem them play, but I think the 2014 draft is going to be a very good draft for the Colts. I think the first 4 picks will all be very good players. Just not sure about John.I think Bill Polian is a HOF talent evaluator. But I did get tired of guys like Bernard Whittington and Kenyunta Dawson being on the roster. They were never good enough to be anything more then a roster spot.

Not sure if someone has posted this, but this is really good. Answers a lot of questions.

Why does this surprise anyone???? In passing situations, the rush linebacker often lines up at DE. Where's the news???

He is the domestic partner of Brad Wells so they both hate on Luck and Colts

We have had some good coaches. I brought up the names I did because when you think how many Super Bowls Chuck Noll, Don Shula, and Bill Belichick have been involved with, it is pretty impressive. Love Ted Marchibroda. Weeb got it done first. I am torn on him since he helped the Jets bet the Colts in SBIII. I still maintain if they played 99 more times the Colts would have won all of them. inside the 20 five times in the first half with no points?? That is insane.
Can't discount good players when judging coaches. Gotta have the right players too. Belichick didn't have the right players in Cleveland and failed.
One final note about coaches. Lombardi and Shula are legends. But interesting they won their Super Bowls with mostly players picked by someone else.

Interesting when you think about it. Don Shula, Chuck Noll, and Bill Belichick all worked on the Colts staff at one time or another.

Maybe the Donger will get it done

This guy will be a monster in the NFL. I predict he will be a starter 2/3 through the season because he earned it. he is big, nasty, strong, and has a great Olinemen name

I'd love to see Brad meet Robert in a dark alley some day.
I am sure Brad would like to meet Michael Sam in a dark alley somewhere the way he gushes about him.

Brad wells is a 35 year old virgin who lives with his mom in a basement
Close. He actually has a domestic partner and that dude is mean. Threatened a few people i know.

I loved Rozelle. I warmed up to Tagliabue. But Goodell drives me crazy. Seems his two passions in life is a witch hunt to suspend players and trying to milk more money any place he can. I understand how players could try to work the system, but come on!!! Mathis is an excellent role model. Why do this to him and his career?? For having a child!!??!!!

I think Satele and McGlynn were blocking him in a lot of these plays. He goes right through them.

Water is wet, sky is blue, Brad Wells is an imbecile.
Nothing new to see here really.
Best poem I ever read. Teared up my eyes..
-
Wells has got it figured out:
1) He can't write
2) He knows nothing about football
3) He knows little about the Colts
So he figures if he says shocking things, it will get attention. And to his credit, it works. I wish he would just go away. @FakeBradWells and @TrueBradWells are funnier on twitter.

Context? Why take the time to post this without context? Are we supposed to guess why, where and who was getting married?
Well, huh, might as, might as well ask why is a tree good? Why is the sunset good? Why are boobs good?

If he really annoys you, ignore his work. By clicking on his page, you're driving more views to it and giving him a bigger platform. Don't click on his page and don't let his invalid (in the opinion of some) criticisms reach a larger audience
Good point!
Da'rick Rogers...future #1 WR
in Colts Football
Posted
I think saying someone is a #1 receiver in the current NFL doesn't mean what it used to be. With multiple receiver sets, it is more like you have two #1s. I think where Da'Rick is going to cause some damage is that with the new emphasize on contact, he is a big, fast guy to try to cover. I think he looks great.
