There are several OL worth it IMO.... look no further than your Buckeyes OT..... As for Defense, again.... look to your Buck Nuts..... or Jaylon Smith..... Hell, I'd almost take OL Jason Spriggs out of IU at 18, especially if we are going to a Zone Blocking Scheme.... he's athletic as hell for a RT.... ideally you could trade back a bit and get him, but if he's your man, I'd take him at 18 no problem....

Good to know. When it comes to biology, kinesiology, medicine, and any other health related "-ology," I'm a deer in headlights.
It get's confusing really quickly!

Looks like the coaches are nominated by peers for the award. It''s criteria are advancing Athlete health and performance through innovative use of safe Sciences. So, I'd say he implemented some unique routines or practices that had effects noticeable enough to be adopted by others in his field. Pretty standard guidelines for industry awards regardless of profession really... And while medical Science is established, it is constantly evolving and advancing. A torn ACL 10 years ago was a much more tragic injury for a player than it is now. Part of that is surgical advancements, part of it is advances in rehab methodology, which is what a S&C coach oversees...... also, to act like conditioning and physically maximizing ones abilities while minimizing soft tissue injuries is not different when being instructed by a top-notch trainer, vs. some guy at the Terre Haute Y, for instance....is silly.

if it makes a difference, Krein was titled Head of Strength and Conditioning in Miami, and apparently is in Indy as well.
-
Indy has hired Darren Krein, Strength and Conditioning coach, previously of the Miami Dolphins.....Krein has 17 years NFL experience, including the last 5 with MIA. in 2013, he won NFL Strength Coach of the Year...
Worked as S&C Coach for SEA - 97-98, and 2001-2009
From the Miami Dolphins Press Guide....
While in Seattle he assisted in the coordination of the players’ weight training, along with the team’s offseason conditioning program. He also played an integral role in the designing and implementation of the rehabilitation process, working with players that were previously injured to help build strength and flexibility to become game ready. A notable Krein achievement was the physical development of Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who after injuries cut short his first season in Seattle (2001) and serving as the primary backup in 2002, Hasselbeck’s offseason training, under the supervision of Krein, allowed him in 2003, 2005 and 2007 to become the first Seahawks quarterback since Rick Mirer in 1993 to start all 16 games as well as being named a member of the NFC Pro Bowl squad.

That's where Belichick got the Black eye...in the process of whooping Jone's over an argument over who had to do dishes after breakfast.... True Story...lol
-
Yeah Grigson was a scout of talent in Philly when it came to players....not coaching staff members
-
wow, that''s a lot longer as Michigan DC than I remembered, that's a definite plus to the resume, as well as the Broyles award. I'm happy

Didn't see this thread when I posted mine just now...opps! I dunno how much NYG fan's opinion is based in performance, vs. how much is based in some key injuries they suffered at LB

Welcome Coach Herrmann!
Don't know a lot about him, or the NYG LBer Corps of recent years.....but he's been a LBer Coach in the NFL since 2006 (NYJ and NYG) and has LBer Coach and limited DC experience in College (Mich) as well as being a former ILB himself.... starting to round out the Staff on D..... Thoughts?

Pagano was the Raiders Secondary coach from 2005-2006 after that in 2007 he spent a year as North Carolinas D Coordinator. From all that I have read and am continuing to read neither he or Pagano have been on the same coaching staff ever, Pagano did not arrive in Baltimore until 2008. Foersters last year with Baltimore was 2007
Well there goes that theory! lol
-
of course they offered him, he was BALTIMORE'S OL coach from 2005 ( I think ) to 2007.... he's familiar with Pags

... Oh and he was a D-Line coach in Jacksonville before Ravens. Melikes!
Helped develop rookies Terrence Knighton 2009, Quentin Groves 2008, Derrick Harvey 2008....not bad..... Maybe he'd entice Pot Roast to come ? lol

Just win? so we are going more "Al Davis" these days? I dig it....JUST WIN BABY!
-
Wouldn't mind if he brought Courtney Upshaw with him....he is a UFA this year.... and maybe Albert McClellan as well

Manusky has strong ties to the Pagano family, and is treated like a brother, highly unlikely that he wasn't a Pagano hire.
Got fired like a brother too

Seems he developed a few good LB's in Balt. other than Suggs... Remember a guy named Pernell McPhee? 2011 5th rounder? Turned out ok.... Paul Kruger, 2009 2nd rounder out of Utah..... 2011 Suggs was DPOY also.... seems great with LB'ers

yea yea whatever.. he got more credit from already established LBs. What linebackers did he actually help develop
He developed Terrell Suggs in College, and the NFL

I don't know man.
Hasn't Cleveland taken us out to the tool shed and beaten us over the head with rusty vice grips enough?
One of these days we are going to have to learn that if someone is not good enough to play or coach in Cleveland, then we need to take a pass.
We are like Charlie Brown thinking Peppermint Patty is really going to let us kick the ball this time.
Darth Hoodie was once a losing coach in Cleveland too.....

Which scorned Indy Sports media member are you OP? Holder?
-
Well, looks like Monachino is a Hot name for DC positions, and hey, he developed T-Sizzle in College and the pros, and has coached some decent NFL D-lines in Jacksonville, as well as amazing LB'ers in the Charm City.... maybe a good get
-
hmm.... interesting choice. I'd prefer a proven DC, but apparently Indy is addicted to trying to find "diamonds in the rough, and up-and-comers" We shall see...

Nice addition Chad! I wouldn't mind Eugene after looking into him
