We need DF back for that jags game. With that defense it’s not going to be easy. Although I don’t think that they are as good against the run.
The Jags were trash on Sunday. If we are worried about them then we are phonies.....

No conspiracy here bub, just fact, sorry if it hurts your feelings.
So, so hurt. And no need to apologise.

I agree! .. but hard to do when it's obvious the league wants the Texans in the playoffs over us. The penalties called against us in the broncos game and now the Pittsburg game were utterly rediculous, and the penalties not called on the opposing teams were also uninspired. But I get it, it's all a game within a game, boiled down to dollars.
There is a reason the NFL is sports entertainment and not competitive sports.
WWE my friends. Okay, maybe not that bad, but you get the picture.
I think you may be onto something......hold on, no you are not.
Conspiracy theories are for the movies. Oh, and politics.

To me, this game depends on if James Connor plays. If he's healthy, we'll probably lose. If not, we'll win.
IMO: Rudolph, Connor, Ju-Ju> Brissett, Mack, Hilton
Colts have better O-Line, Steelers have better defense.
We need Connor not to play to win IMO.

I can see the Steelers using the same blueprint today that the Broncos used. Take away TY and bottle up the run. They have a good D too so it could work. Maybe we will have a couple of reinforcements after the deadline.
Not really a mind blowing strategy there old bean....

To be fair, after his 4th foul, I was shouting ‘get him off’. In hindsight, probably not the best option. Hopefully he will get better for the experience.

Yesterday morning I stubbed my toe on the bathroom door. Later on I dropped the milk bottle top, it hit my foot and just disappeared from sight (how does that happen?). I over-cooked my dinner and finally, as Vinatieri was lining up that final FG, I took a swig of beer and dribbled it all down my front.
Anyone can an have an off day. We won and I’m just fine.- 4

We will probably come up against the AFC & NFC North, Tenn, Hou and Jax, and potentially the Patriots and Chiefs.
But that is just a wild guess.

Sheesh. Bellyaching about injuries in the NFL. Teams have 53 man squads for a reason. Good teams have good well prepared backups. Or should have.

To answer your question, I just think Houston and Indy are pretty even and it will be tough to sweep them. We have beat them twice in a row at Houston as well. Because Houston is good, law of averages says we will probably lose that one.
Does that mean our all time record v Falcons is 10-9, not 17-2?

This game is going to be harder then we think. 4 of Denver’s 7 games have been decided by one score. Unless they totally fall apart with the trade rumors or Harris gets traded by Friday this is going to be a hard game and is not a given. They average giving up only 19 If we lose this game that Texans game means nothing. Also titans and jags will probably get back to 4-4 after their games. I think i read something the broncos have been pretty good at creating turnovers.
Earlier in this very same thread you suggested we could get close to the 9 sacks KC put on Denver. You also opined they could turnover the ball a lot. How bad will we need to be to make this a hard game, based on those previous comments?

The NFL does make it rather tricky to have quality players in every position. We are getting a little spoiled and dreamy right now....
Nothing wrong with dreaming I suppose.....

1) Not gonna happen.
2) I am not sure there is a more tired message board phrase than "kick the tires."
Hey speak for yourself mister. I am very good at kicking tyres. Only yesterday I successfully kicked all 4 tyres on a Volvo in under 3.2 seconds, and I have been featured in 'Pirelli Monthly' as the next 'top thing'. With Ferrari lobbying for Olympic status, I could be front page news in years to come.....
Now lay off my sport. Just because you bought me a beer at the LOS once......

Now now Krunk. No need to be like that. We have always been cordial to each other, over many many years.
And while we are all hoping Cain finally catches a ball, the Patriots snaffle Sanu.

This past go-round it was because the best placekicker in NFL history couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
Or as we say in Scotland.....'couldnae hit a coo on the * with a stick'...

Every team has several 'weak links'. The good teams just limit their negative inpact on the overall performance.
And why are we all rattling on about Cain or Fountain or Campbell? They have produced nothing of any substance in meaningful games. I would not be surprised if none of those 3 ever became regulars.
Oh gosh, I am grumpy this morning.......

I love what he's done at T since he moved from guard, but I wouldn't say he's "very good" at this point. He's average right now. PFF actually grades him at the very low end of "starter". That's after grading out much higher at G in college (3rd highest G in the nation).
Fair enough. If PFF says so.....
It's like 'a guy down the pub says so......'.
Gospel.

I would back any player being successful in the NFL against what they did in college. Two different beasts. Leave him where he is....

I agree. It wasn't meant to name names, just what's your priority positions.
You haven't made the picks yet. But, some started naming names, and even including historic names.
I think your original point is important to the process, though.
How the rest of the roster is being filled is important, AND, how that roster looks after this practice one thing, but what it allows you to do afterwards is another. IE, I don't think having an all pro QB is important. I'd rather give the average QB protection, and a couple of weapons, and let them become a really good QB. Ala, Brady, and others.
I started the name thing (Colts players only), very early in the thread. The idea behind it was to show that many combinations could work if you had the right guys, and to show what might have been in the Peyton years if we had that luxury. Supes jumped on that premis pdq and made a few very interesting observations.
My bad if it threw the thread off kilter.
