The Brissett we see in 2019 will be significantly different from 2017. We just don't know if he will be significantly better.

Cannot predict this in isolation. If the Browns won the SB for example....

Isn't that the same as bargaining?
We are passed the Denial and anger stages... We are Bargaining. "Maybe he'll come back."
Next is depression. Finally acceptance. I just hope we skip through the depression and accept things by about week 3 because they are going so well... otherwise, depression might last a while.
My lack of analysis of the 5 stages was a wee clue that it was no more than a feeble quip to gain likes and highlight my thoughts on those still in denial....

The '5 Stages of Grief' has been upgraded. It now includes an additional stage. Wishful Thinking.

I trust AV. I hope he's right. Man oh man, I hope he's right.
God, you are going to be a right bundle of laughs when AV retires......

For the time he played in the NFL he was one of the best ever. Why do we need to taint his achievements. And considering his supporting cast..........say no more.....

Perhaps the lad is telling the truth. John Grisham could not pen some of the theories being banded around. I also think we should give Brissett some playing time before we start crying in our cornflakes. Where is all the admiration for Ballard and Reich's philosophy gone? Or has it always just been about the QB? I am going to hope we are still on the way up, at least until I see otherwise.

A guy retires from a sport and dozens act like it's another Sandy Hook. Grow up.

Injuries will eek out the Browns limitations. They will not have a winning record. IMHO....

My dog could write a better article than that. Very poor.

Excluding TY, having such high expectations on these WR"s who have zero Colts snaps between them is the definition of wishful thinking. Squared.
-
Both Ballard and Irsay have 'gushed' about Cain. He must be a lock then, right? You just gotta laugh.
-
The mystery of the Cain 'lock' continues. Crystal ball fandome me thinks. We don't really have a clue who will be in the 53 at the rear end of the WR depth chart. The coaches probably don't know, so how come folks on here seem too?

I'm removing Leonard and Nelson from consideration. They are proven studs. They proved it first year. They'll prove it again this year. It doesn't excite me, I expect them both to be monsters.
So...
1. Parris Campbell - I expect him to be the biggest impact to point differential
2. Rock Ya-Sin - I expect him to challenge for time right away, and start by mid season
3. Deon Cain - more than anything else, we need a well rounded outside guy / X with speed
4. Ben Bonagu - Hope they stick to DE focus in TC. I thought about Turay in this spot.
5. Nyheim Hines - Great rookie year. I think he's a smaller, but better planned part of the O this year
You are not excited about players being 'monsters' yet you are about a bunch of rookies who may not even make the cut?

Like always, injuries will help shape the final roster.....
Unfortunately.....

I don't have a Colts hat. Shame.

I think most of us are thinking Ballard will strike again with this years draft, which is probably wishful thinking. We are also lapping up the 'good dressing room character' philisophy and the 'build from within culture'. Whilst good on paper, we may be getting carried away.
But with Luck tucked up our sleeve, it could all just land perfectly. It' s good to dream, is it not.....
-
I don't think he was a top 5 QB either.......

NE are allegedly considering a bid.......

It is nigh on impossible to understand the impact on the team regarding the social media attention we (or any team for that matter) get. How will the players cope with being rated in the top 5 of most Power Rankings this season, compared to last year when we were commonly placed last or near to last? Or is it all irelevant?
Ballards considered words imdicate the latter.......

So Ballard sees the 2020 rookie WR class as stacked. Funchess got a one year deal. No pressure then Devin....

Being 'the best' doesn't mean they are perfect. Room for inprovement.....
