I wouldn't be happy about it.
I would rather have fewer, but higher picks.
A trade with Jets/Broncos perhaps. Maybe even the Browns, if they're worried about someone trading with us and snapping up the guy they want.
But picking in the 20's... That would be a bummer for me.

Just throw whatever amount at Norwell that it would take to land him. Make him the best paid lineman in the league if that's what it takes. Then trade down in the draft with Jets and scoop up Nelson and we'll be good at guard for years to come.
-
Excellent player. But no way in top 3. Not even in top 10.
Someone will land him in the bottom of the first and be very happy about it. Maybe he'll be there in top of second round, if so you grab him.

Honestly, I think there are plenty of RB's that would serve us really well in this draft.
I'll admit that I don't know everything about Barkley, or any other player in the draft, but how much better would Barkley be, than say Michel (Georgia), Chubb (Georgia), Love (Stanford), Harris (Alabama), Guice (LSU), Johnson (Auburn) or Jones II (USC)?
You can make a case for style of play etc., but lets say that we make a splash in the offsesason and sign Norwell for a ton of cash, wouldn't it make sense to sit back and sign one of the other RB's in the second/third round and fix our O-line with a trade back that would still land us Nelson?
Michel could very well be still be available in, at least the second and not unlikely early in the third round.
-
Nelson won't fall out of top 10.
I still see us trade back a little, and still pick in top 10, and get an extra early 2nd rounder.
We'll get Barkley in the first round
Price & Jewell in the second round.
-
For me, I'll go with the Broncos.
Have to pick reasonably high in the first round for a change. The extra pick early in the second round would be nice.

I prefer Norwell over Pugh in free agency.
I'll be fine with any one of them. I think both are going to sign really big deals, no matter where they end up.
Lots of teams in need of quality O-line players.
At least we have the cap space to go after one of them.
And for once we have a chance to pick early in the draft. Looking forward to seeing some elite talent coming to Indy,

Pugh, Sua-Filo for the O-line. Watkins opposite T.Y. Throw in a Running back and a CB.

Top level offensive linemen are hard to find, period. Why do you think 90% or retained? You want an example? Dallas. In two years they went from one of the top offensive lines in the league and look at them now. That's how fast it can turn around.
Did I say they weren't hard to find?
Only underlines, that when you have severe issues with your O-line and your franchis QB is getting killed on a career threatening level game after game, you go after them when they're available.
It's really not that hard.

Naturally there is going to be an exception but those players are few and far between. We picked up Saturday from a hardware store and that was a once in a QBs lifetime deal.
The point is that top O-line players do hit FA.
Considering the amount of issues we've had with that line, it should be a no-brainer, that when top-level O-line players hit the FA, you go after them. Hard.
It's rare that there are "plug and play" O-line players in the draft, while there is always and abundance of RB's, WR's, CB's etc.
So spend the money where they matter the most. -

So you think good offensive linemen can be found in free agency? I don't think so. The good o-linemen are not left out in free agency. They are resigned and don't hit the market. There is a shortage of good o-linemen and when teams find them they keep them.
Mack?

I honestly don't know what the fix is. But it should be obvious that it needs to be fixed.
I find it astonishing, that this is still by far our biggest problem. It has been that way since before Luck was drafted.
I don't care about recievers, tight ends or linebackers - Fix that O-line once and for all.

Got a 5th round pick (161) + 4th round (143)

Asiata? Desmond King?

Would still like some O-line depth, maybe a CB or an OLB, primarily, but I'm okay with BPA

Let's hear it. What position would you prefer we pick?
-
Lawson? Hendrickson? Willis? Fields?

I think Cunningham and Willis will be gone soon. Surprised they are still there, especially the lattter.
I'll be surprised if they're there when we pick in the third, but we'll still have solid options at LB, if that's what the management want.
-
There are still lots of good LB's available for the 3rd round.Lawson, Cunningham, Willis, Williamson, McMilan, Anzalone, Beckwith and many others still not picked.
Also some solid DT/DE options still around.
Lets get some defence this year.
-
Solid pick. Really like this upgrade of our secondary.
We've had an excellent draft so far, in my opinion.

The Colts' defensive overhaul: New Indianapolis GM Chris Ballard has a vision, and he's executing it beautifully. Thursday's selection of Ohio State safety Malik Hooker was a fantastic value at No. 15 overall and immediately improves a woeful secondary. Since the start of March, Ballard has added defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, linebackers Jabaal Sheard, John Simon and Sean Spence and defensive end Margus Hunt. No team has done a better job improving its toughness and defensive depth this offseason.

And the AFC South is stronger than it's been for a very long time.
No cake walk winning the division anymore.
Jacksonville and Tennessee both still in playoffs, and Texans are no pushovers anymore. Especially with Watt back.
Things aren't gold or manure. The path to succes isn't impossible, but it's not a given either.
Don't worry, we'll still be able to find a qualified HC - We're still a NFL team, and that's always an attractive job.
