  1. I could see the Broncos grabbing Chubb.

They have to consider the idea of having Garrett and Chubb terrorising opposing O-lines and QB's together.

It could be a kind of Freeney/Mathis 2.0 partnership, and that would be intruiging for them. I think.

But who knows if they grab Barkley or a QB. Who knows, maybe they'll even trade out of number 1, if they'll get a great deal, like maybe the Bills offering their two first rounders.

    Lots could happen.

  2. Roquan Smith will go in the first round. Probably won't make it past 20 first picks.

I like the kid, but I can't see us drafting him, unless we trade way down. Not hoping that happens.

All for a trade, but only to a position that'll still land us Quenton Nelson.

If Rashaan Evans is there when we pick in the second, I would grab him in the blink of an eye. I would love to have him as our MLB. More than any other ILB in this years draft actually.

  3. It all depends on what happens before then.

A lot of unknown factors between here and there.

What happens in Free Agency? Does Ballard land, say, Norwell?

What happens in round 1? Do we trade back a few spots and pick up Nelson, and add an extra pick in the second roun? Do we stay and grab Chubb or Barkley?

If Rashaan Evans is there, I would love to have him. I doubt he'll be there, but he would be my #1 choice.

Maybe Hubbard would be available. If Ballard likes Key, then he could be an option, despite my, and others, concerns.

Jewell would be a little high for my taste, he seems like a 3rd round pick to me. But I like him.

Van der Esch - Sure. I'ld be up for that.

RB's. Honestly, I think you could grab Nick Chubb in the 4th round. I would be up for that. Big time. He and Mack would be a solid RB duo IMO.

Depending on Nelson/Norwell etc. Wynn/Hernandez/Price might be a good option.

Taking chubb at 3 and getting Norwell in FA is the best scenario we could ask for I don't understand your logic of taking a rookie expecting him to be pro bowl caliber when he has never played a down in the NFL over a guy who is a proven All-Pro

I would be happy to grab both Norwell and Nelson, and then take the best defensive edge rusher in the second round.

Fixing the O-line is, in my opinion, much more important than getting the best edge rusher in this years draft. It's not even close.

You don`t draft an OG with the 3rd overall pick. Trading down and getting good value in order to draft Nelson is easier said then done. I`ll over pay for a proven need position (OG Norwell) with the Colts cap space and draft an impact player with the 3rd pick every time.

Maybe we have a different definition of the verb "impact", but adding a pro bowl caliber player to the worst O-line in the league would, in my definition, have an impact on the teams ability to compete.

I would take Nelson at number 3 and be thrilled

  6. Said it all along, and sticking with it. Would absolutely LOVE to trade back a few spots and pick Nelson.

You can keep Barkley and Chubb, if I can have Nelson. I want that O-line fixed. It has to be the number one priority.

For the Barkley cheering section - It doesn't really matter who we have as RB if we don't fix the O-line. Let's be real honest here. How much better would Barkley be able to do, compared to Gore, with the worst O-line in the league?

Let's start with the foundation, before we paint the walls.

Luck with a good O-line would be quite sweet.

With two high second round picks, in case of a trade, we can pick BPA in the second:

EDGE (Key or Landry might very well still be there)

ILB (Rashaan Evans could be there, if he's not then Vander Esch is likely to be the or you could hope to land someone like Jewell in the third round)

RB (Nick Chubb/Kerryon Johnson would probably still be there)

  7. Barkley is still only a human. Unless we improve our O-line significantly, it doesn't matter who our RB is.

With the depth of this RB class, I would be unhappy if they pick Bradley.

I still hope they trade down and pick Nelson, who's also "a generational talent". Unless our O-line get fixed, we won't turn things around.

Make Norwell the best paid lineman in the league and draft Nelson, and we'll be set for a long time, and Luck won't get killed. Then pick up a good RB prospect in the second round (remember we'll have traded down, and gotten an extra second rounder for certain).

  8. Give me a break. If you had replaced JB with Luck thisyear,do you think we would beSB contenders? Really?

Come on man. Our defense is among the worst in the league. Our O-line IS the worst in the league, and other than T.Y. we have no players on offense that anyone not completely blinded by their love for the team would ever claim was truly elite in the NFL, Other than our kicker perhaps. Same goes for the defense. Some talent, sure, but no Watt, Von Miller, Ngata, Lewis, Reed,Kuechly, Sherman level players.Zero.

I love Luck, but even Peyton at the top of his game would not have been able to make this team a SB contender. Even Peyton had some top notch players around him.

    Get real.

  9. AC may not end up in the HOF, but we could be a lot worse off at LT. IMO he's the best lineman we have.

Now just throw as much money at Norwell as it takes to sign him. Trade down with Jets/Broncos in the draft and snap up Nelson in the first round and we'll have the foundation for a really good O-line for years to come. With Luck hopefully back, and a solid RB prospect (there are tons of them in the 2018 draft), we'll have improved our offense significantly.
