    Question?

Does anyone think once the WR’s all are back and healthy next season, it’s not as big a priority as it seems at the moment.

I think the TE position is more pressing. Ebron is not going to be back.

I agree, and think we could go TE before we go WR, 'cept for one little thing bugging me, being: The longer TY's issues linger, the more I think of how Marvin's career fizzled out. THAT'S in the back of my mind.

My initial thought is Ballard would never do it but again he is a proven Franchise QB.  He's about the same age as Luck.  He's had his share of injuries like Luck.  He would most likely flourish behind our OL as Luck did.  His contract would not be a problem for us either.  He can put his team on his shoulders like Luck.  Bottom line he has many of the same attributes as Luck.  That said I have never been a fan of Cam primarily because of his show boating look at me personality.  I would think his style might be a problem in Indy but you never know.  Winning solves a lot of that.  He would be an interesting option if Ballard thought the best way to get back on track was to acquire a veteran.

The whole bad example of a leader thing eliminates him for me.

Now that Rap sheet has reported that the Panthers will be listening to offers for Cam I can see Ballard being very interested.  He was building his team around Luck and he left us.  Cam would be the replacement that is very similar to Luck.  With a new coach I can see the Panthers rebuilding.  With Newton and our OL I could see the Colts getting back on track quickly and our 1st should get him to the Colts.  It's an option that I wouldn't have thought would be there but now that it's been reported it's probably one that should be evaluated when we see where we will be drafting.

I'm trusting Ballard is smarter than that.

No No No Nooo Nooo. Love is a crappy QB and a waste even for a 2nd round draft pick. He is useless. He had one good year and that's it. Right now is QBR rating is 49.9 and the excuse that his coach changed or OC changed just goes to show you he not a very good QB. He is the poor man Cam Newton.

Wait, it's been said that Burrow has had only one good year, so you're saying there's not QB worth taking this year?

  5. As enjoyable as it was to watch 'swag' (God, I hate that) play as well as he did under those circumstance, BOY that was a difficult watch.

I know it's not a professional offering, and I don't need it all polished up and such, but it was kinda incredible how that guy managed to cram 5 minutes of video/commentary into a 20 minute bag.

Agreed. He is the prototypical "Take away his running ability and what are you left with?" QB.

You're left with a poor pocket passer, who is more likely now to get frustrated, (without his mobility) and blame others (diva QB).

And this is precisely the reason I thought an earlier suggestion the Bears should pick him up was a great idea. He'd fit right in with the history of their passing game.

Oh, and, I'm not sure Allen is an upgrade to what we're experiencing now.
