  1. Forgetting the onsides kick debacle for a moment, focus on the defense.

Say the Colts get a TD there.

There is some 2-3 mins left.

Do you honestly, deep down, think that Colts D which VANISHED the entire second half would stop the Saints from getting so much as a FG? I sure don't. Brees is a great QB and had all day to make the right throws while Caldwell and Meeks blinked on the sideline as we played 5 yards off.

That's all assuming the Colts special teams don't promptly give up a 50 yard return if not a TD on the ensuing kickoff. We stunk on ST outside Vinatieri.

Viniateri didn't play in that super bowl. Matt Stover did.

  2. A couple things. We still like Peyton. We'll hear how he chokes away big games all off-season.

We'll hear how Russell Wilson is better than Andrew Luck.

Lol who's cares. Wilson is a good QB as is Luck.

Peyton is now a Bronco. And its not like he hasn't won a super bowl. Take solace in the fact that he won a super bowl with a superior franchise! The Colts!

    Irsay made the right decision.

  3. If Manning wins this one, plays three more years and gets to one or two more Super Bowls, how happy is Irsay going to be then , when Peyton would keep the Colts from getting there ? No, I think a Seattle win is the best thing that could happen to Irsay, and I think he knows it. He took the prudent, safe course of action with Luck. It was smart money , and the safe bet. Elway gambled with Manning, and it at least got him an AFC Championship. We will see what happens in the Super Bowl, as Seattle in no pushover? Usually, dominant defenses usually win it all. No, I think Irsay will be in a Jim Zorn jersey this evening.

    100% agree...

  4.

Some people need to learn how to use the word thug correctly....so here ya go:

    thug noun \ˈthəg\

Sherman has not shown to be any of the above

    Actually he is a thug.

He beat and robbed Crabtree and the 49er's of their winning touchdown! Which makes him a Football field thug!

But personally... Calling him a thug feels pretty racist to me.  Not even a little bit. I don't recall hearing white NFL players being called thugs. Or maybe they are called thugs and I have not noticed... (Shrugs shoulders)

I don't understand it. He simply isn't a thug at all. Who started calling him a thug in the first place? He might be loud, outspoken, boisterous, cocky, peremptory, arrogant, narcissistic, but not a thug....

    Don't get it.

I remember Tedy Bruschi acting similarly after the divisional playoff game against the Colts. I don't remember it being a big deal.

Anyways, thanks for posting this definition.

    I hope Seattle wins!

  5. The irony here is stunning. Elway shafts the Colts goes to Denver plays in 5 SBs and wins 2 to end his career in Cinderella fashion. The Colts release Manning and he signs with Denver specifically because he has always admired Elway as a player and believes in him as a GM and now is in the Super Bowl. This storyline is unreal if Manning does win the SB for them.

That's why, as a Colts fan, I want the Broncos to lose.

  6. What I am going to tell you is that you have no idea about Irsay's relationship with Elway, therefore your speculation is without merit. I guess Irsay could be lying about his relationship with Manning, but I have not seen anything that contradicts that. So unless something comes to light that Irsay and Manning are not friends I will take him at his word. I would not expect Manning to say anything one way or another given his tendency to be very private about such matters.

All of our speculation is without merit. None of us know them personally. They all say the politically correct things. So all we have left is our speculations.

  7. He and Manning worked with each other for years. I believe him when says he is rooting for Peyton

I think he probably feels ambivalent. It's not like, if he wanted manning to lose, that he would admit it.

He probably is rooting for him. But a part of him probably wouldn't mind if Manning lost.

    Just my 2 cents.

  8. As my grandma used to say    "Want in one hand ~ spit in the other and see what you get"     haha

Serioiusly  tho  ~   You can't be serious,  because what you want,  can no longer happen.    Just be happy for him, for the career he's had and continues to have.

Yeah I'm serious.... No one thinks of Montana as a Chief or Unitas as a Charger.

I'm sure if Manning won a couple of Super Bowls with the Broncos his name would be synonymous with the Broncos.

  9. If you win one out of fourteen years in one place , and two out of four in another , it's pretty easy to figure out where a player would view the best years of his legacy.

Yeah I don't want Manning to win any Super Bowls with the Broncos. I don't want him to become another Bronco legend like Elway. I'm afraid if he is too successful as a Bronco that he will remembered as a Bronco.
