  1. Reich and Luck was a good fit. Maybe Ballard and Irsay was counting on exactly that when they hired Reich. That whole plan went to hell of course when Luck quit on the team, and the perfect fit between Reich and QB never materialized again. But that is water under the bridge now, fortunately.
  2. To the bolded, I don’t believe so at large. I just think people are trying to get some hope going that the accuracy issues are either not as critically bad as some of the most negative reviews suggest or that there is hope to get it fixed based on what other similar QBs have been going through. We obviously won’t know for some time how fixable the flaws is, but I wanted to get your opinion on this question: So you see his technique/mechanics being worse on the short/medium range than the longer throws where he seems to more success rate? I guess I might have to go back and re-read your draft review one more time.
  3. We need young WRs to build chemistry with Richardson for the future, so maybe. But important that the team is not being build to peak to early before Richardson is ready, so Hopkins doesn’t make sense to me.
  4. Irsay is really enjoying himself these days - that is a very good sign that he is pleased with the direction the Colts are going in.
  5. I didn’t have time to watch the presser before now, but I don’t think he was that harsh or rude to be honest. However, I would always advise that a person in front of the media should try and explain why they are not going to answer the question. There can be many reasons why but at least give the media something to work with. Never ever give a talk-to-the-hand, so i guess we can agree that Steichen could improve his media handling here. But we are getting way off topic…
  6. Are you following that? I don’t think I’m ready for a Reich speech to be honest, I’m still having some PTSD after the Wentz fiasco. Probably unfair to blame that on Reich entirely but I can’t help myself.
  7. I decided to just go to sleep without setting an alarm. But I didn't sleep well. After @Superman mentioned how it would be difficult for him to re-watch the tape of Levis (a red flag for sure! ), I got completely stressed out about whether Irsay might be forcing a pick of Levis. So I just woke up in the middle of the night, checked the time, and immediately switched on the phone. A few minutes earlier, Colts had just picked Richardson - and I was over the moon to be honest!
  8. Elevated and relieved! Believe or not, I actually woke up in the middle of the night (here) like a few minutes after the pick was in, kinda crazy. You can see my comments on the first page of this thread!
  9. Yep... If you see my current avatar, my comment was also more about me starting to let go of the past and embrace the future!
  10. Hmmm, I might have to change my avatar during 2023! @stitches
  11. Didn’t think they had the courage to go for the wild upside but soo happy they did.
  12. Oh boy, I’m starting to get the angst by thinking what if we do in fact pick Levis. A week ago I would be fine with Levis, now I’m a bit stressed out.
  13. Yeah, I don’t know about Levis either. I think he has a bit of a reckless gunslinger in him, maybe it can be tamed, but I get why some people fear that he will be Wentz mark II for us… I want Texans to take him, lol…
  14. I would prefer Young I think Colts are looking at Levis as the most realistic QB at pick 4 and will pick him, if possible. But with Young gone, I’m slowly but surely getting on the Richardson train. With the competition QBs in the AFC, you either go big on ambition / potential, or you go home. Levis will probably be fine, but not something that screams SB to me…
  15. A trade for Foles?! We would have to give a pick away to unload him to another team…
  16. Yeah, our day two picks might also do the trick. Question is how much of a gambler Ballard will be…
  17. I think the plan is to trade down in the first round if Hooker is the target. Somewhere around pick 18-20 if they can find a trade partner maybe?
  18. Eehh, that is a very loaded question / poll because of course Lamar is the choice if you only focus on 2023. You draft a rookie QB for the future so really a nonsense poll imho.
  19. Makes sense. Money is better spend on OL, CB or WR help anyway…
  20. Huh? I’m talking about Colts not being in win now mode. I personally think Lamar should stay with Ravens, but that is another discussion. They have a good enough team to support Lamar, IMO.
  21. Hmmm, but isn’t Lamar wasted on a team that is not in full win now mode? We miss way too many pieces for this to make any sense IMHO. You want to plug him into a loaded team that just lacks a proper QB…
