  1. trading back from #1 in consecutive years and stacking a boat load of picks to fix a bad roster is not a bad strategy. They are winning some football games. Giving him another offseason to build the defense and give some help to the offense/add picks for the future is the right move, rather than blow it all up. We know what caliber of defense he can put on the field.
  2. lol. Wut? Here comes Chloe with the pessimism again. they are moving the ball on offense. We will have a chance or multiple chances to win this game regardless of what happens this drive and regardless of if it stays a one score game. prayers up to the god of laws
  3. We’ve got their defense where we want them. A stop/turnover here and we are sitting pretty.
  4. Out of nowhere, we decide to be aggressive and bring the heat on 3rd and long, on the first drive. Give me a break Gus.
  5. Direct reflection of a faltering society in my opinion. Biggest league in the U.S. with high stakes and competition. Guys are trying to get a leg up (using ped’s, gambling, etc) to make as much money as quickly as possible. Ease of gambling has not helped anything but casinos in this country. Return to violence throughout society, so the domestic violence/beating the hell out of others is another direct reflection of society’s attitude. Covid made people crazy. Anyone that works with a small sample size of the public knows this. People. Are. Crazy.
  6. let’s be honest… it’s getting harder and harder to put a full roster with men that can stay out of trouble. Look around the league.
  7. this is true. It honestly seems like a lifetime ago for me, as last year was a brutally long year for more reasons than just the colts. He played fast and long last year. Was happy for him to find a good fit, although the giants had a really bad year for where I thought they might be.
  8. Opportunity for Cross. Huge opportunity. He made one of the best plays of the season with his Moss-like interception over Pickens head. He blocked a punt for a td against the titans. Keep playing for that spot #20. Dude is 22 years old.
  9. idk too many Indiana-based Purdue fans that aren’t colts fans. And if they are not, they are generally bears fans. They aren’t going to that game. Barely go to their own. it isn’t drew breesus coming to Lucas Oil…
  10. I miss Bobby. He was a true middle linebacker. Zaire has had a good season, but I think Bobby was much better for the defense and for the future. Shaq is drama. He used the media to air his frustrations of playing time, when we could all see why he wasn’t out there on passing downs.
  11. https://atozsports.com/philadelphia/eagles-shaq-leonard-sends-bold-message-to-colts/ Drama.
  12. I understand. And I trust Ballard and Steichen to work well together on coaching decisions through evaluation and planning. I definitely think a change is in order.
  13. I don’t see Grover being back next year. I think they go a different direction. You cannot get suspended for ped’s for a third of the season in a contract year. The run defense needs more than just Big Grove back. I honestly don’t see Kenny Moore back either. We may see big changes.
  14. You are just limited in what you can switch to successfully overnight. It has to be a similar base defense with the personnel. To me, it’s similar to switching gm/hc. It may sound good in theory, until the next guy is worse…
  15. …Steichen was Ballard’s call too. I think they have to work in unison with one another. No GM is not going to just let a head coach pick whoever and say “change the whole vision that we agreed to last year when you hired me.” Shane might really like Gus and think it’s the best way to win going forward. He could take more responsibility in his rookie year for the shortcomings of the team, instead of letting Bradley take the brunt of the blame. Offense and defense has to complement one another. They may want to get aggressive with personnel in the offseason and roll it back to see how a few big tweaks, and a healthy AR changes things. I feel like Irsay is going to put pressure on Ballard this offseason to get aggressive. And I think he will. Perhaps changing up some defensive coaching personnel and ideology will be part of it.
  16. Everybody take a deep breath. in the words of Daniel the Tiger, “if you feel so sad and you wanna roar. Take a deep breath, and count to four.” in all seriousness, we still have opportunities left. Of the 3, this was the one to lay the giant turd that we left in Atlanta. have a merry Christmas and count your blessings.
  17. hindsight is fun, but we should have traded Leonard and kept Okereke. I loved Bobby.
  18. offense is very limited with Minshew as it is. You take away his crutch in Pittman, and what you see today is what you get.
  19. A touchdown drive. A 3 and out. A touchdown drive. A turnover. Bleed the clock out.
  20. im not sure we have overlooked anyone, because we aren’t good enough to. we’ve just outplayed our expectations to make this type of performance seem unacceptable. It happened two weeks ago. Minshew plays better at LOS. Hopefully we can win out at home and squeeze into the mix.
  21. Heinke is squeezing the ball into some tight windows this drive. We have guys in position, just not finishing the plays
