I picked Glasgow as the biggest head scratcher only because I didn't feel that way about any of our picks. My knee jerk was about Blackmon like everyone else, but the more I looked into it, the more I liked it. Thought Ballard moved up and down the draft reasonably so I never really got the impression we were drafting guys we had no business taking.

Well, we get to pontificate next offseason. A lot of you seem happy with that. Good for you getting your way... -
Yeah, but Chris is a win now guy. Who knows what that kind of guy will do?!

I think it would be a travesty if we took Jurts or Eason. You can't coach accuracy on the former. And in the latter, I don't like it when I hear questionable work ethic on top of seeing ghosts while under pressure. I'm coming around on Fromm, but he's still not really a guy I want to bet my career on. I could be wrong, some of you have made some good points. But still . . . I don't think anyone really thinks of a franchise QB and imagines Fromm.

QB Wonderlics

lol I asked that jokingly. But then I started to think it out, and I couldn't honestly think of anything. Maybe his college transcript or what he had for breakfast? -
Cole Kmet would be Rivers Gronk

Very average athlete + very average production = very average pro. This guy is pretty much limited to up the seams out-muscle at the catch point. His athleticism isn't going to wow anyone, especially his lateral agility. He's capable of catching the ball with an extended radius, but he body catches more often than not. I think he'll be blanketed at the next level. He's definitely not a first round guy. -

My first ever attempt at a mock draft

Lots of draft day drops...thats your realistic prediction? No hate. But we're a tough crowd. We know everything. Just ask! -
Sorry bro. I mean no disrespect at all. But if it's not work it's kids so finding the time to keep up with this is difficult. @chad72 This could probably be directed at you as well. I know you guys work hard to keep this thing going and I'm not trying to be difficult or make your job (as a volunteer no less) harder.

Why do people say the bolded? That is simply not true. He was scoffed at being in the top 10 by many sources, precisely because he was almost universally agreed to need a year of development He was one of those players where his value was in the eye of the beholder. Some thought he was a mid first round pick based on talent, but many many others thought he was a Day 2 pick. But almost everyone agreed that he needed to hold a clipboard for a year. It kills me that this revisionist history on Mahommes is just accepted and stated as fact by some. Opinions on him back in 2017 were just as di

It's completely unfair to say Ballard inherited an 8-8 or better roster. It's not completely off the mark, but you seem to draw a line from Grigson's termination and Ballards hiring. The fact of hte matter is, Ballard took over a roster that without Luck in 2017 went 3-13. 2 years later and a new HC staff, that roster improved to 7-9 without Luck (and the same replacement starting QB).

I actually liked the trade. We got a dominant player at a position of need - a position that is in the top 5 of hardest positions to draft for, by the way. I wanted Love or Herbert, but I can make my peace with the fact we most certainly won't get Herbert and will most likely not have a chance at Love either. I loved Buckner pre-draft and was sad he'd never be in a Colts uniform. So the trade was one that I could get on board with.
