I don't put much say in PFF, I think after week 1 Herremens had a positive PFF grade and we see the team decided to bench him week 3.
He had a -10.6 week 2. Making him the 2nd lowest rated guard.
-
I liked the signing as a spot gap short term starter. Lowery may be proving me wrong and that he could be a long term answer.
-
this isn't true at all they are late to the ball carrier they have one splash play a game..and they both suck in coverage
Freeman is one of the best coverage linebackers in the NFL... PFF would actually say he's the best (+10.1 in coverage last year) but it comes at a price (-8.8 against the run).
And Jackson has actually been very good so far. I don't know why you would disagree. Today may of been a down game but weeks 1 & 2 he kept everything in front of him. He's tallied 24 tackles through 3 games and over 14 stops (2nd highest of all MLBs). Also, he's posted a +2.5 score (through 2 games) which ranks 6th amongst all MLBs.
I think you are stuck in last year where Jackson was slow to react and get over to places. This year he's been much better. Your comment about Freeman and coverage is just simply not true.

Get him in there. This freeman Jackson project has failed
They've actually both played exceptionally well this year. Especially DQ.

How can a team possibly have AP, Julio and AJ? Having two of those would be a stretch.
Auction my friend.
AP- $52
Julio- $45 (I believe, It's been awhile)
Green- $38 (Got an absolute steal, it was somewhere from 35-40)
-
He was very disruptive, that doesn't always appear on the stat sheet.
To answer the question: No.

Playing against my fantasy team that had Julio, Blount, Kenan Allen and Mike Evans
Try me: AP, Julio, AJ Green, Randle & Steve Smith

LOL. Again dude. No I would not give a 2nd or 3rd for him. I'm just saying I doubt the Jets would take anything less than that for a guy they just drafted top 20 2 years ago. They'd just keep him instead. I'd only give up a 4th or 5th for him. 4th at best.
I know. I'm not talking about what you'd offer. I'm taking about what the Jets would accept. They're not getting a second from anyone and they know he's not getting any PT. They know best they should take whatever value they can get. I'd say they're probably looking for a 4th and 5th or something of that sorts. They're definitely not looking for a 2nd for him seriously though.

I'm fine with benching players who are preforming poorly, but I don't like it when you take it to the point where you switch around your young impact lineman's position. Keep Mewhort at either OT or OG don't move him around constantly. It'll make it much easier for him.
-
I think that's an awesome idea. Seriously. It'd be similar to the Vontae trade. the Jets have the best group of corners without him quite honestly. Revis, Cromartie, and Skrine. I think Milliner could be had. The question is for what? a 2nd? 3rd? I doubt they'd let him go for anything less.
A 2nd or a 3rd? Are you kidding me? He's been atrocious in his time in the league. More like a 5th or a 6th. His value is much lower than you seem to perceive it as.

Well said. Our problems are very fixable and it's not like our team is loosing because of talent. Give us a couple of tune up wins and we'll really see what we have to offer.
-
I could see 10-6 would be my (realistic-ish) goal. Reality would say 9-7, and History would say 11-5 is possible.
-
I've never really bought into this story. It really doesn't make much sense. Especially this new forthcoming of Pagano wanting win now and Grigs wanting development.
Grigs calls the shots, and he signed AJ and Frank Gore this off-season (not young players), while Pagano is always talking about growth and development.
-
3rd Q - Early 4th Q Defense.
Anderson/Parry
Gore (in flashes)
Lowery/Adams
-
Not really necessary with Gore. Forte definitely is better but Colts wouldn't do that (put him on the bench) to Gore at this point in his career.
-
Below average even as a rotational guy. I'd be okay with him on the PS. 53 not so much.
-
Andrew Luck isn't going anywhere.
Period. End of story.
-
Refs missed a lot on the Colts, called a lot on Buffalo. We got lucky there.
-
God. This is seriously sad.
Luck is one of the best QBs in the NFL. Period. End of story.
If you need me to go over all of his skills I would happily do that but as a Colts "fan" you should already know.
As for his struggles today he was going up against Rex which is a tough task and he was playing in the rain (and wind) in a hostile environment, with a OL who wasn't doing him any favors and he was playing against a top 10 defense.
-
He was awful today but is generally a good player.
He was forced to play outside since Greg was out. It will help when he moves back inside.
-
Nicely put. It's a long season and our problems are very correctable. We have too much talent to not finish at least 11-5.
-
Forum gonna forum and over blow everything.
As some who was at the game it was almost impossible for Dorsett to field those kicks. It was pouring rain and there was a tough spin on the punt(s). I'm not saying it's acceptable but I'm not going to the point of saying he should "never field punts again".
Rex is also a very hard coach to go against his defense and the rain in combination made it almost impossible to get the offensive flow together throwing the ball. We don't have the OL to match up against the Buffalo front 7 and run successfully.
How about we stop overreacting like we did last year. Breathe pals, it's a long year and we have tons of time to fix our problems. Getting back to Lucas Oil will help.
-
How about we let him play the season before making the decisions about what happen at the end of the season? Crazy idea, Right?!?!?!
-
Davis, Anderson, Hilton were all very impressive today.
Sio Moore?

PFF spends hours watching tape closely while singling in on specific players. Not only do I generally trust them, but I agree with what they say about Freeman. He has nice speed and keeps with TE's for the most part. Jackson is atrocious in coverage but Freeman is a bright spot.
