I would say number 1 should be split between OT and OLB. There's some games (like against Houston) where the lack of pass rush is more evident than the poor pass protection.

At least we can sometimes protect the passer. We can almost never rush the passer though. At the very least, OLB should be in your top 3.

I agree that we should adress pass rusher, but I don't think it needs to be in Rd. 1. It's not like we don't have guys: Mathis, Cole, Newsome, Walden, Werner. Another pass rusher would help but I think OT is by far a larger need.

 

If we could do something like:

 

1. Conklin, OT, MSU

2. Alexandor, OG, LSU

3. Jackson, CB, Houston

 

With a Pass Rusher taken somewhere in rounds 4-6.

A little too early for me to be thinking about mocks, but I think as of right now I'd probably try to follow this outline:

 

1. OT

2. OG

3. CB

[Rumor: Colts Wanted Shane Ray in 2015 Draft]

Shane Ray was my third highest rated player in the draft. I absolutely love the kid, I would of been ecstatic if we got him.

They both basically played 25 snaps last week. They played the same amount and I'd except the same this week, I don't care who gets the start, I care who plays more.

[YPC? or YPG? How do you rate successful rushing?]

YPG. Overall it's where you able to establish a running attack, and if you run for 200 yards in a game, then you could. No matter how many attempts you took. 

 

With YPC, you could have a nice average of 5.5 YPC, but in reality it would be 4 carries for 22 yards. Not dominant.

Like him or not, Pep was a genius this game. He utilized AJ beautifully, got Gore involved and really played to Hasselbecks strengths while not putting too much pressure on him.

 

If Pep can call games like this consistently, look out we could really start rolling.

As much as I love Henry, I'd have to disagree. My MVP would be split between Vontae/Dwight Lowery. Vontae continues to shutdown a whole side of the field and Lowery saved our season while also playing very solidly in the other games. Anderson/Parry close 2nd and 3rd options though.

After watching JRob struggle (again), I've thought about it and think it's time to switch up the RB group. Cut Tipton (he's useless) and sign either Donald Brown or Ahmad Bradshaw. Both former Colts, both have serviceable hands and are decent blockers. Could be serviceable.

Seems to me the run D looked better without Freeman..minus the long run of Yeldon.

Is this a joke? I found the complete opposite. They did a good job containing Yeldon until late in the 2nd Q then he started to gain 4-6 yards consistently with long bursts of 10-20. Wasn't happening when Freeman was in.

I'm split.

 

Half of me say sure, get the OL tank this year and grab a great WR like Treadwell or RB like Elliott then grab more playmakers later in the draft similar to our 2012 class. 

 

The other half knows this team is close enough to a super bowl, and that we can grab another lineman or two in the draft/free agency and our O will be set.

[Opinions on Phillip Dorsett to this point]

He definitely needs to be used more. I'd really like to see a formation with Dorsett and Moncrief out wide and TY and Dre in the slots, it would be near impossible for defenses to cover everyone especially with Luck (assuming he turns his game around more like the 4th quarter yesterday)

[Dwight Lowery is a perfect fit for our scheme]

Yeah because you'd think he's older than 29 wouldn't you? Yeah man if he keeps this up we should give him a 3-4 year deal in the offseason. Lowery and Geathers could be a good pair for the next 3-4 years. Did we sign Adams to a 1 or 2 year deal?

Yeah it's ridiculous. I was under the impression he was 33ish until TC when I looked at his wikipedia page. Lowery could be a legit starter in our system for 4-5 years. Unlike Adams who is 34 and probably has 2 more years max. As for Adams deal it was a 2 year deal.

He still does it. It's much easier when you're in a offensive flow and you have the defense on their heels though. It's kind of hard to audible when you're getting blitzed 25/8 and nothings working.

You watch him on tv in coverage and You tell me Yourself he's good in coverage?

Yes. For a LB he's above average.
