  1. I walked out of the room for just a few minutes and when I came back in there was DJ just all choked up. Saying he had texted Mort YESTERDAY and they talked football. Me? These days I cry at sad commercials so you can imagine my reaction…. Tough loss for all who love football like we do. As good a person as he was a reporter.
  2. I’d be good with Hines. And I have no idea which way Steichen/Ballard might lean? I have argued strongly for Moss to be back. But I don’t know if he’d return for what the Colts would offer. Moss’s agent says they want 3/18. I seriously doubt Ballard would pay close to that. I’d guess 2/10, tops. So Moss might just turn into Wally Pipp! For those too young to know, Pipp was the Yankees first baseman before some guy named Gehrig came along. Pipp sat out one game and never got his job back. Moss might negotiate himself to another team. And while I really like Moss he might not be back. Just sayin….
  3. I think most anything you listed is possible except one thing. Trading up in the 1st. Otherwise I think the colts have tons of options, and they’re all good.
  4. Ballard let Autry and Houston go because the salary cap went DOWN nearly $20 million due to a thing called Covid. You may have heard about it, was all the news. They were both over 30 and if you have to cut players in that circumstance that’s who you cut. We’ve been talking about it here for years.
  5. To me, my takeaway that we interviewed Odunze is that might suggest the Colts are considering WR at 15. I think the chances of trading up are close to zero for all Ballard reasons we know about. But I think it’s intriguing that WR might seriously be in play at 15. Personally, Brian Thomas at 15 sounds very appealing. And I’m sure there others as well. Fascinating draft.
  6. Appreciate the post. The vast majority of the players you listed I would not call a bust. Banogu is the most obvious bust without a doubt. The rest I’d grant to some level of under performance. But personally, I don’t downgrade players because they suffered injuries. Some people do, I just disagree. When some of these guys were healthy they played pretty well. I don’t understand how someone like Dayo is on the list. Drafted after having surgery on his Achilles. Hurried back and played half way thru his rookie year. He was OK for a year and a half and this year popped for 11 sacks. I don’t want to go on and on about guys who were pretty good when healthy. I’d say Hooker, Paye, Rock, Paris and Lewis played well. They just were healthy enough. Sucks for the Colts but it’s the NFL and stuff happens. Thanks again. With your post the other day, just wanted to say you’ve got a new friend.
  7. @OLD FAN MAN Hey there! You're alive! I hadn’t heard from you in a few weeks, and you had me a bit worried. Good to see you! I have missed your constant trolling of me. Glad to see you back! Not being facetious here, totally sincere. I don’t joke around over life and death issues…. Hope you’re well….
  8. I didn’t write the post with drafting Wilson in mind. More to say this kid should not be drafted by anyone to be a WR, he needs a position change in the NFL. Personally, I like Ballard’s tight end room. It’s not great, but I think it’s good and diverse. I’m sure I’ll get pushback on that view from some. That’s ok….
  9. Chad…. I’ve checked for you twice. And for some reason that doesn’t make any sense to me, only 9 WRs are listed for the 3-cone results. That’s it. And none are the three guys you asked about. When I key their names into the search function the result is…. there is no result for your search, re-set filters and try again. ???? I’ll keep trying. Maybe more names will get loaded later….
  10. Im very happy Steichen is our HC and play caller. VERY!! See, we can find some common ground!
  11. FWIW: Young started two full seasons for Alabama. 27 starts in all going 23-4. As for Reich…. He got the best year out of Luck who wasn’t close to 100 percent. And got good years out of Brissett, Wentz and even Ryan who suffered due to a terrible OL in front of him. You might want to consider the dysfunctional franchise that Frank worked for…
  12. For what it’s worth…. Worthy is small but he’s not tiny. He’s actually bigger than two recent highly drafted WR’s. He’s bigger than Hollywood Brown and bigger than Tutu Atwell. Worthy measured 5’11” and 165, smaller and shorter than expected.
  13. I just looked up Ross’s career. His career stats look like one great year. Roughly 60 catches for about 950 yards and about 10 TDs. But that was over 5 seasons. Ross announced his retirement this year while he was on the KC practice squad.
  14. I know it’ll never happen (but I wish it would) I’d love to see Worthy try out for the U.S. Olympic Track team. I think he’d be very competitive. By the way, I believe he has shrunk at the combine. I think he was supposed to be 6’1 and 172. But he measured 5’11” and 165. Not disqualifying, but smaller. Comped to a bigger Hollywood Brown who is 5’9” and 155. By the way, Jeremiah’s profile on him has some very nice qualities about him, but he does not seem to profile as a WR1. More like a WR2. He needs a good amount of polish at the NFL level. DJ has him ranked in the late 30’s.
  15. I doubt this will be popular, but one WR I do NOT want is Johnny Wilson of Florida State. I think he’s nearly 6’7” and has a very clunky running style. Not a fan. Maybe if he gains about 15-20 pounds and becomes a tight end. Maybe. NFL Network put up a graphic showing Wilson is the tallest WR in combine history, all of them were busts except one. Darren Waller who moved to tight end. Take the hint Johnny! Take the hint! Otherwise…. I’d be happy to let him go elsewhere.
  16. Sure you have. John Ross of 4.22 fame about 6 years ago says hello!
  17. Ya think Worthy has made himself some serious money today?!? OMG!!!
  18. Did Joe Milton from Tenn just throw a 75 yard strike to his receiver? One of the prettiest connections I have ever seen and it got a big crowd reaction!
  19. Apology accepted. Gladly accepted. I may be quick to anger but I also try to be quick to forgive. It’s a healthier way to live. It’s in the past. We can move forward. Much appreciated.
  20. Yeah…. That’s what I expected. For a couple of months now your approach toward me has changed. I’d guess roughly 80 percent of your responses to me are the same confuse emoji, no matter what I write. And here’s how I know you’re not the least bit sincerely confused. Because if you were confused, you’d follow up with a question as you do from time to time. The rare exceptions. But in most cases you don’t. You’ve decided to be my personal troll. You’re going to show me what it’s like to get negative emoji’s. (Yeah, like you’re the only one!). You’re free to do whatever you like. But if you’re going to be my troll, that means I’m not going to give a rip if/when you have a question for me. You can go pound sand. I was going to make this post a private message to you. But when I asked you what confused you about my post and you responded with yet another confused emoji, that was the moment YOU made this personal. You're a smart guy, but you’ve over played your hand. Im expecting another negative emoji in 3, 2, 1…….
  21. I’m just now seeing this whopper of a post. You do understand the rest of us can read it? Being a Colts fan seems to bring you nothing but misery. How sad that must be? But this post might be the worst in a string of angry rants this morning. You don’t like Irsay much. You hate Ballard and you really REALLY hate, loath and despise the FORMER quarterback. And you didn’t seem to enjoy this past season very much. Does anything about the Colts make you happy?
  22. @PRnum1 OK…. I’ll go down the rabbit hole with you on this. What did you find so confusing? Maybe I can explain?
  23. OK…. Apparently what I wrote made NO SENSE to you. None at all. Zero. I’m as close to speechless with you as I can get. So be it.
  24. The events for Chuck Pagano. It’s to celebrate Chuck Pagano. Andrew Luck is there to celebrate Chuck Pagano. There is a TIME and a PLACE for booing Andrew Luck. THIS isn’t it. Period. When Luck gets put into the Ring of Honor someday, if you're not over it by then, and you still want to boo him THAT’S the time. When the event is about ANDREW LUCK, not when it’s about Chuck Pagano. I hope this makes some sense to you?
