They get paid $400,000. plus travel expenses for about six months of work. What do you think they would do year round?

I always liked Clapton's live stuff the best. His E.C. Was Here album shows how good he was during that time but then fast forward to 24 Nights and One More Car One More Rider shows he did grow into a legend. A plus to the One More Car album is it has some of the last live work Billy Preston did. Him and Eric blew the lid off Have You Ever Loved A Woman. Check it out when you get a chance, you will enjoy it I am sure.

While I like Stevie and his style better than Jimi, Jimi was a great innovator and had not reached his potential when he died.

The thing about great guitar players is there is so many it's hard to come up with a list because everyone's opinion comes into play. Or when a list is made who is left off?

Take a guy like Joe Bonamassa, his talent level is second to none when it comes to playing the blues.

I think you can't leave off Clapton, after all he is God! lol

My favorite Jimi song is Power To Love off the Band Of Gypsy's album. I also like all of his covers of the Dylan songs too.

Jimi took guitar playing to a level that had never been heard before. Talent wise there are a lot of great guitar players but he was a pioneer with the equipment that was there and used it in a way that had never been used.

SweePea was Popeye's adopted son from the comics. SweePea was Olive Oil's cousin in the cartoons.

Yeah, it's good to hear Bob playing again. His last couple of albums are pretty good. That is one artist I have seen 5 times over the years and he never disappointed. Heck, the Silver Bullitt Band was worth the cost of the ticket. Bob's a great entertainer.

  22. RIP Tom Petty.....one of my all time faves.  I had seen him play a few times but none was as good as at The Jones Beach Amphitheater in 1985...thunder and lightning coming off the angry Atlantic ocean in his background and after two delays........he just played his heart out in the rain!  He began it with this song...

All I can say is when your number is drawn your time is up. Age don't matter, sex don't matter and religion don't matter. Just make the best of life and keep your loved one close.

I liked Van Hagar better than Van Halen myself. I just think Sammy brought better vocals and also his extra guitar to the group. His vocals pushed Eddies playing IMO.
