  1. You cant 'see' an NFL title in a QB......its not the QB that wins divisions and playoff games

    There's just to many moving parts ijn football for one player to get credit or blame for wins and losses..

    75% of starting QBs could win Super Bowls with the right team

    ]

    Obviously you can't physically see it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Some guys are champions and some aren't. Every qb that has won it since 2003 I thought had that championship caliber in him (although at the time they won, not all of them have performed at a championship caliber level). In the future, might there be the occasional Dilfer carry again? Yeah, there could be. But most of the time, I'd bet that the team that wins has a qb who is championship caliber. Qbs should get credit and blame for wins and losses. Not all of it, but they play a huge part in determining the outcome of the game. I see maybe 10-12 qbs in the league right now (not considering luck, griffin, etc.) who are capable of winning the sb this year, the next, and after that.

    There's a reason only 6 active qbs have that shiny ring.

  2. The guy broke a rookie record with passing yards and scored 14 rushing touchdowns as a Quarterback, besides teams win super bowls not one player

    Last year's defenses suffered horribly from the lockout, and the numbers really have to be taken with a grain of salt. After the first two games, Newton's numbers were slightly below average. And I dont believe qbs like Newton or Vick who need to run to score are capable of winning a sb. Until I see one do it, I dont believe they can win it all. And while teams do win SBs, I think that the strong majority of these teams in the future will only win because they have a championship caliber qb. I dont think we'll see many more carries of Brady (in his early years), Johnson, Dilfer, Rookie Ben, Young Eli in the future. You'll need to be a Championship caliber qb to win the SB in most cases going forward imo. Cam isnt ever going to be one of those qbs.

  3. Why do you say they will never win with him as their qb?

    If he keeps up what he did last year and keeps getting better, he has a shot of winning a super bowl like any other good quarterback.

    I dont think Cam is a good qb or ever will be one. Some guys have it and some dont. Just my opinion, but I dont see that championship caliber qb in him. I see it in Stafford, Ryan, but not in many other qbs.

  4. I be a Jerry Jones type of owner, and have influence in all decisions. I hire Polian and Gruden. I go with McCoy and try to get rid of Weeden for a draft pick. I trade for Mike Wallace. I get one more reciever for the slot in the draft. In year 3 of my reign, I'll be in the playoffs. I use the next few drafts to load up on pass rushers on the d-line. By now, Steelers arent great anymore, Ravens have old D stars, and only Tom and Peyton are the threats from me getting to the SB. The year after peyton retires, I make it to the SB after beating the Colts in the afc championship. My legacy is then cemented and I am loved there 4ever. Yup, that's what would happen :)

  5. Brees isn't the best qb. He's the 4th best atm. Last year's stats have to be taken woth a grain of salt. The lockout >>>ed defenses, and even bad qbs were going crazy with the yards. He also throws it way more than necessary. He piles up the stats when throwing the ball is not needed. He's also not the most accurate qb. Over 150 of his completions go to playmaking running backs. Those throws are easy to make. Dont get me wrong. Brees is a great qb, but is not worth a contract to make him the highest paid qb in nfl history.

  6. I see the AFC having either the Patriots, Broncos, or Steelers make it to the SB. It's a safe pick since the qbs of those three teams have combined to represent the afc in the sb for 10 out of the last 11 years. Those three teams are better than all the rest I think. In the NFC, I can see the eagles, Bears, or Packers making it to the SB. Prediction: Broncos beat the Eagles 35-34.

  7. I'm following their team and definitely rooting for them, but their forum sure won't be my second home. Was warned for "trolling" within a few hours and given infraction points. I very carefully and graciously PM'd the mod saying that there must have been some mistake. I said "please" and "thank you for your time", only asking very politely for some clarity as to how he perceived my post as trolling.....banned for 45 days for "harassing a moderator".

    Many of them are very nice, but any of you that may go there, some of them are nasty jerks, including the mods. Apparently the guy that banned me is a tebow nut and I think they're getting really annoyed at the Colts fans there. I've seen plenty of nasty uncalled for comments to other posters. Very disrespectful to our team as well. It's almost like they want us to be jealous and angry about them stealing Manning, even though our owner is responsible for that. They apparently allow trolling of Colts fans/opposing teams. Really gave me an appreciation for the mods here. You guys are great.

    Wish I could join some of y'all there but that ain't happening. I wouldn't go back even after my ban is lifted. Real snotty jerks.

    Just curious to which forum you went to. There is Denver broncos fan forum and also Bronco Country Fan Forum. The Bronco Country fans are really great just like the colt fans here (except for tebow maniacs).
