  1. 17-13 Colts win.
Bills find a way to get two FG's on drives, and their D scores a TD on a turnover. Colts have two TDs through the air with a FG by Vinny to secure the win, and the D gets a turn-over to seal the win.
This could also be a blowout if the Colts play Time of Possession and keep the Bills D on the field. I expect a lot of No-Huddle, but not hurry up. Dont allow substitutions, keep the game clock moving.

Colts, if they dont get in their own way, will win this. But, the moment they play outside of themselves the Bills have enough defensive talent to make an impact. I dont want this to be shades of... Um... the 2002 NFL season, where the Texans went into Pittsburg, ran the ball up the middle x3 then punted but came away with a 15-6 win because their special teams and Defense just had their way with the Steelers.

Not quite, Redskins gave up 2012, 2013, 2014 first rounder and 2012 2nd rounder. They moved up one more spot but got two 1st rounders (of which one ended up being 2nd overall) instead of 2nd rounders.

Rams blew those picks pretty badly so I think/hope we can come out ahead there.

Not sure what the exact value was the Rams got in return, but it didnt exactly work out for them. They then traded so many of those choices it gets a bit confusing: IE they had the #14 overall pick, then traded that back for a 2nd rounder and 3rd. Then traded that 2nd round pick to go down 5 spots and passed up on Alshon Jeffery.

And Tyquan Lewis, who everyone keeps forgetting about.

Cant wait to see him play, tbh.

    Jets got Darnold - Starter

    Colts got
    Nelson - Starter
    Smith - Starter

    Lewis - Incomplete
    2019 2nd round - Incomplete

In terms of pure draft capital, I believe the Colts got better value over even what Washington gave up to select RG3. Its paid dividends  even at this point though the record may not reflect that we have two apparently very solid starters on the line.

  4. "Must be all pro right away with the #6 overall"

    Lets see...
Name - Draft Position - Rookie Year Stats
    Marvin Harrison (19) - 66 receptions 836 yards 8 TD
    Peyton GD Manning (1) - 3-13, 326 completions 56.7% completion rate, 26 TD 28 INT

    Freeney (11) - 8 games started 9 fumbles caused 1 recovery 13 sacks
    Bob Sanders (44) - 6 games played 2 fumble recoveries 1 TD 34 tackles

    Reggie (30) - 27 receptions 0 TDs 345 yards

    Dallas Clark (24) - 29 receptions 340 yards 1 TD

Yeah, 1st year certainly indicates final potential

And now just looking at the #6 overall picks in recent years with Rookie year stats or current PFF grades
    2017 - Jamal Adams, Jets (S) - 6 PD, 1 FF, 82 tackle

2016 - Ronnie Stanley, Ravens (OT) Grading at 76.5 this year
    2015 - Leonard Williams, Jets (DE) - 3 sacks 63 tackles 21 QB hits

2014 - Jake Mathews, falcons, (OT) Current 77.8 Grade

2013 - Barkevious Mingo, Browns (DE) - 5 sack 42 tackles 12 QB Hits, Currently with 3rd NFL team

    2012 - Morris Claiborne, Cowboys (CB) - 1 INT, 1 TD, 8 Pass D, 55 tackles, with 2nd NFL team

You don't see our Pro Bowl WR as a #1? Wow. You're hard to please.

His body isn't a #1, but his production is. A #1 is able to break through even when teams attempt to scheme them out defensively, and Hilton has not yet consistently shown that. For a long while Hilton was a feast or famine player, but I think Reich is doing the reich stuff to create offense for TY despite defensive matchups. I would have loved to have seen the Colts at full health against the Pats, just to see what they did to get TY open, a NE would have done its best to completely remove him from the game

I think 2015 and 2018 are fairly different seasons, some of the values have changed in the past three years.

Exactly what I was thinking. In specific examples: During the last Super Bowl, the Eagles used their "Nascar" package, putting basically 4 DE's in all 4 normal positions along the line. This caused immediate pressure up the middle against the Pats, winning them the game

LT's are still valuable, but their value is lessened as teams now put their best rushers over the RT.

Left CBs are now somewhat lessened as teams are moving their WRs around more to create offense

RB's overall value is lessened unless you're at the very top. Teams are using different backs for different roles in different offenses.

Guard value is increased as teams have again realized the shortest distance to the QB is straight at him, and will also blow up most runs if they have pressure

  7. A guard is one of the most important parts of the Offensive Line.

    1) Regulate pressure from the inside by working in tandem with the Center
    2) Regulate pressure at his outside shoulder by then working with the tackle
    3) Most often called to be a lead block in a single back formation

    4) Most often called to pull in a trap or screen

    5) Most likely to be responsible for picking up blitz or stunt

Of all the positions on the line, a guard is the one who MUST keep his head on a swivel at ALL times

  8. Arians is someone you want to be at a bar with discussing the game live and not in the booth.

reason is simple: He needs to curse to be fluid with his thoughts.
BA in booth: Uh, Luck has like, got to see that LB there there. Sure. Well ok.
BA in the Bar: Mother ***, that SOB has got to see where the *** **** son of a *** MLB is cutting under his **** ***** **** throw there. Less **** touch on the ball and rip that **** **** **** a new ****** ****** and then ***** ***** **** you score!

C'mon man, you're a Marine and left a game at the half because of BO?  That's why God gave us elbows!

    Marine, yes.

Sitting next to people literally giving you a headache with how bad they smelled during the beatdown the Jags gave this team last year?

I've never had a bad time at a game.

I, uh... had seats in section 127 which should be fantastic. Well, halfway into the 1st quarter the couple come in to sit in the seats next to me and my dad. They smelled like straight up bad MJ, BO, and cheap booze.

We left 5min before the half and finished watching the game at my place.

  11. Priority next draft:

    Speed at WR
    An Offensive Tackle
    Another CB

Really, we're two ambien players from being 4-0. The first week, we're a defensive player away from winning. Week 3, we're an OT and a WR away. This last week, an OT and a DB away.

  12. With a healthy Castanzo this offense stretches to the 10-20 yard zone, which we need. Im ok with only taking some shots, but working heavily the 5-20 yard area with rhythmic passing/formations.

Luck is able to step up quite nicely in the pocket most of the time at least, at least we have that going for the O-Line
