  1. One of my favorite moments in sports was Boston chanting "Beat LA" after the Sixers beat them in the Eastern Conference Finals.

We hate the Pats, Bronco fans hate the Pats. This was the perfect opportunity for a "Beat the Pats" chant from the Denver crowd

  2.

Also, it's a little interesting that we're talking about the offensive line after today, when the defense was the primary issue, in a thread about how terrible the coaching is.

The really scary part is we have one of the five most expensive defenses in the league and they're this bad. Can you imagine how bad our defense will be when were paying Luck 20+ mil a year and, Hilton/Fleener/Allen/Castonzo get their second contracts.

Although, this is the same guy that made the 49ers look terrible before Harbaugh took over, so its not a surprise to see so much talent go to waste.

  3. Two straight shut outs is impressive though no matter who they played. I wonder if a team has ever pitched two straight shut outs.

To the OP though, Rams are not a super bowl team. Let's not overreact. That's just ridiculous

They could have been a playoff team if Chris Long was healthy all season long. As soon as Chris got back into the line up, that defense began to fire on all cylinders. Quinn is once again getting sacks at inhuman level, while the linebackers are free to roam and make plays.

  4. According to this list, it is. The list has one team from every franchise. I would have thought the 2006 team that won the SB or the 2009 team that went 14-2 would have been first.

2005 was definitely our best team. Followed closely by the 2007 team. In 2007 we had the best scoring defense, allowing a league low 16.4 points per game and we had the third best offense. Heading into the playoffs, I was certain that the only team that could stop Brady from going 19-0 were the Colts.

  5. Easily the Falcon's O-Line's best performance since week 1.

Maybe I am mistaken but I thought Matt Ryan's OL held up real well and he literally flipped the script with Drew Brees for this weekend with QB play and production.

Packers kept playing 1-on-1 with Julio Jones and got burnt and looked like the Packers of a year ago again. I would have to think that if the Patriots play these Packers again, Packers might not win again.

If they play the Falcons again, they might not win.

  6. Landry was only ever a pro bowler because he played in a big market and made a handful of highlight hits.

Its not as though he played just as well in Washington, before a string of injuries forced him out the door. Nope! That certainly never happened!

  7. Who goes to YouTube for the reading?     It's a video site.    The comments section couldn't mean less to me.   But I wouldn't stop going to YouTube because of it.

Same with ESPN.com.    Who cares what the fans think?    Not me.

I only care what good quality writers think.    What information can they share?    What insights can they reveal?    There's always lots of good information on the site.     But people here HATE on ESPN because of Skip Bayless or because they don't think the Colts get enough love....     to me,  it's throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

There's ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNews, ESPNU and even ESPN Classic....   and some internet ESPN channels as well.

If people can't find something to watch and learn from on one of the ESPN channels,  then I think you're only hurting yourself.

The only good part of espn is the comment section. The only halfway descent analyst they have currently employed is Bill Simmons and espn has done everything in its power to make sure he leaves once his current contract is up.

This is what a fan's analysis of Thursday Night's game looks like: http://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/2iyq4f/analysis_ty_hiltons_9_rec_223_yds_1_td_vs_the/ Informative, well written and most important of all intelligent.

Here is Mike Wells on the same subject: http://espn.go.com/blog/indianapolis-colts/post/_/id/8261/wayne-is-lucks-go-to-receiver-but-hilton-is-his-playmaker?ex_cid=espnapi_public A monkey with a type writer can spew out a better article

  8. The Cowboys are so good that they have gone 8-8 for three seasons in a row. Although, what youre talking about is rivalries and the 49ers fit the bill for the Cowboys

The win over the Hawks was great, but its still just 6 weeks in. Way to early to crown them. We still havent seen December/January romo make an appearance this season. This happens every year. They look great for a few games and than crash back to Earth come crunch time.

  9. We've out-performed our talent level. No team with these pass rushers and safeties should play this well.

If anything the team has under performed with the talent available. Landry was a probowl safety before coming here and Werner isnt playing up to his talent level. Between Kerr, Chapman, Redding and Jones we have quite a rotation going on the defensive line. Toler/Davis have the potential to be the best cb duo in the league.

Lets not forget Manusky was the DC of the 49ers the year before Harbaugh/Fangio came in and transformed that same unit into one of the best defenses in the league. Pagano took over a defense that was struggling under Manusky and now the Chargers' D is at the top of the league this season.

I would love to see Werner play b*tch kitty in Rex's scheme. (Why is the name of a football position censored on a football forum?)

  10. An objective look at his career tells you that he's average. Certainly not arguably "the top corner" in the league. At the rate you people have him improving, by the 8th game of the season, he will be in Dieon Sanders territory.

A couple of weeks ago, you guys said he was a top 10 corner. Then it progressed to one of the top 5. Now hes the very best. Like I said, in two more weeks, you guys will have him as a lock for the hall of fame and in the conversation as the greatest ever.

and now I get why your posts never make any sense. If you think neon deon is one of the best ever, you must have never actually watched him play. Just saw a few highlights of the guy returning interceptions or even worse just heard some good things about him. No one got burned as much as neon deon. The guy took too many failed risks to be considered one of the greatest ever.

  11. Tell that to the rest of the people in my league. Luck was drafted with the sixth overall pick, and Manning and Rodgers were gone shortly after. I didn't want to get stuck with Kaepernick as my weekly starter or something.

Oh yeah, and the Seahawks D was taken in the third round. Not your typical draft.

So what youre saying is you drafted with a bunch of *s and instead of taking advantage of them you decided to join in the stupidity?

Everytime one of your buddies took a qb, your chances of getting a first round quality rb in the second round increased.

Also you didnt have to get stuck with Kap. Matt Ryan fell to atleast the 4th round in every draft I was in. Cutler and Rivers were always available in the 6th. Guess which three qbs are out scoring Brees by about 20 points each?

  12. Rob Ryan will be fired when their bye week comes along, it is in week 6. One more game to go.

Watch them give up 30 pts at home to the Bucs in game 5 and Sean Payton sends Rob Ryan packing, win or lose. Sean Payton knows when to cut his losses. If Steve Spagnuolos had done what he did, Sean Payton would have pulled the plug on him quicker before they made infamous NFL history on defense a couple of years ago in 2012 but he was on suspension.

Its not like the Saints have a storied history of winning, even during the Payton era.

Things are just returning to how they should be

  13. Yikes I figured either Miami or Tampa would strike first. The ghost of Al Davis is still haunting those halls for sure.

Lovie sucked for years up in Chicago, and he'll do the same in Tampa. There's just enough talent in Tampa to hide his coaching deficiencies for a few years
