      Thanks. Its like a 24 hour thunderstorm. Havent lost power so thats a good thing,will be over by tomorrow evening hopefully

    Had the worst morning..blew a tire in the welding truck, no way to jack that heavy sucker up. Had to limp it to the nearest tire store. Wound up getting 4 new rear tires,didnt want to chance riding on a ticking time bomb, set me back over a grand. Always something!..lol

      Thanks! It was a rear tire, sooo much better than a front tire blowing out! Good thing is atleast I`ve been busy with work so didnt hurt as bad financially as when things are slow, and know I`m good to go for a couple years

    Indian Summer here in Brownstown, IN.....78 degrees and the soy beans are being picked today. The field is gorgeous!! Octoberfest this weekend, and the leaves are getting prettier by the day. I wish I had a good camera to share nature's beauty!!

      Didnt know you lived in Brownstown, the dirt track there is one that I really want to catch a race at. My father in law goes there often and hopefully I`ll make it to a race there someday..keep saying "next year" and hasnt happened..maybe "next year"..lol

    Congrats to local racer and friend Jamie "the Jet" Lathroum for his big win in the Lucas Oil Latemodel sanctioned race at VMS on Saturday night. He beat some of the best racers in the country!

    Heading to my fiance's for the week with my 4 legged buddy.....not coming back until Labor Day....faster internet though means blazing posts!!! :) I am bummed I will miss Lucas Oil Stadium's Game Day Thread.....:(

    Just got back from the Bristol,TN Nascar race. Met up with my in-laws and about 10 of their friends from Indy. Great race with great people!

      It was in some ways. 1 lane freight train but half car width from outside wall instead of on the bottom. Anybody that dared to duck under another car had better make the pass or were going to lose 5-6 spots. Nationwide race was the same way. Thats Bristol baby! as they say..lol

    Went to the dentist to have cavity filled this morning, grrr..jaws are still throbbing

      Thanks! That was my worst dental experience by far. Had cavity beneath gum line on very back tooth, making it hard to get to for the dentist and me to be numbed all the way..lol..plus kept gagging on those nasty cotton gauzes.

    Working inside a concrete mixer drum replacing blades today. Yuck! Probably the job I hate doing the most in my line of work. Here we go!

      Thanks! Its a long process.It takes me about a week to cut out the worn blades,fit the new ones and then weld it all up. It would just make too much sense for the company I contract this from to have it done in the winter where I can dress warm and be comfortable.It deserves to be on dirtiest jobs with Mike Rowe. Its is hot, dark and slippery- can never seem to get comfortable!

    Still working alot of hours, hopefully will be able to do some family vacations this summer..still making time to check on how "the monster" is coming along though! GO Colts!!

    My favorite Nascar driver Carl Edwards claimed the pole position for next weekends Daytona 500! Part time racers "the Wood Brothers", who I have rooted for since the days of Bert Jones at QB for the Colts are still going strong and look to have a fast car for Sundays race also!

      I grew up a huge Pearson fan also Brent! I remember as a kid my grandmom making me a birthday cake once in the shape of that Purolator Mercury he drove. We would listen to the races on MRN radio beneath a shade tree many summer Sunday afternoons.Great memories!

      I love Jr`s "down to earth" disposition! I`m more a "Ford" fan but it would not hurt my feelings to see JR win Sunday or have a great year! Good luck Sunday!!
