  1. i'm not an eagles fan, but i always enjoy seeing the cowboys lose

Sometimes I enjoy it more depending on how our season is going at the time. Earlier this season, when we beat the Redskins after 4 straight losses, I had already had the enthusiasm sucked out of me, and I was pretty emotionless, but later that day when Brady threw the game winning TD pass to Hernandez with 22 seconds left to beat Dallas, I screamed my head off.

  2. One of my favorites was TO doing the Ray Lewis dance after a TD against the Ravens in 04.

Chad Johnson also had one where after a score, he held a sign he hid that read: Dear NFL, please don't fine me again.

Of course he got fined for it, which made it funnier.

  3. I don't think Tebow is going to get a lot of praise from doubters, until he starts to play well for full games over a period of time. I'll give him all the credit for doing what he needs to do to win games when the game is there to be won. But I also know he's not going to make a living out of winning in that manner. Eventually, he's going to have to play well for a whole game to win. Just last year, the Jets had a stretch of games where they looked dead and buried while Sanchez struggled, only to have the Jets come back and win games late with Sanchez making some big plays to win, and people still thought he sucked. So we've seen this story before.

  4. Jets @ Eagles - I'm not fooled by our win last week. All 24 offensive points came in the 2nd quarter after a string of Miami turnovers. The defense shut us out for 3 quarters. Jets are a better team.

Jaguars @ Falcons - Would love to see the Jags do what they did to Tampa, but it's not happening in the Georgia Dome.

Cowboys @ Tampa - Dallas is a bit of a mess right now, but Tampa being a bit of a mess would be an improvement for them.

Seahawks @ Bears - Bears D carries them to a win to keep their fading playoff hopes alive.

Dolphins @ Bills - Both teams are a mess right now, but the Bills are home, and Miami has a new coach.

Packers @ Chiefs - Is any explanation needed?

Titans @ Colts - See above.

Redskins @ Giants - Big win for the Giants last week. They get another win against a struggling Redskins team.

Bengals @ Rams - With head coaches falling before Black Monday, Spags could be the next to go early. (SPAGS, WE WANT YOU IN PHILLY!).

Panthers @ Texans - Tough pick, but Houston keeps on winning regardless who's under center.

Saints @ Vikings - No way can the Vikes keep up with the Saints in a dome, even if it isn't their own dome.

Lions @ Raiders - This pick scares me, but I'll take a chance on Detroit.

Pats @ Broncos - I haven't bought into Tebow like most of the world, but I do believe in Denver's defense keeping them in the game. With the Pats bad D, and tough defenses making things hard for Brady this season, I think Denver squeaks out a win at home again. Hope I'm wrong though.

Browns @ Cards - Cards with 2 impressive wins, should be able to beat a bad Browns team.

Ravens @ Chargers - This could go either way, but Baltimore can't afford to slip with the Steelers right there with them.

Steelers @ 49ers - With Harrison out, and both Big Ben and Pouncey gimpy, I think the 49ers win a tough game at home.

  5. I dunno man. Is it possible for a team to go 16-0 and the coach not win coach of the year? If the Colts went 16-0, would Caldwell have won coach of the year?

Note: the point of the second question is discussing winning coach of the year, not the decision to rest the starters. Hypothetical scenario where we went 16-0 regardless of resting the starters or not.

I think expectations may play a factor. Green Bay may not have been expected to be unbeaten, but they were supposed to be good. SF was expected to be bad with having a new staff in place and they're on the verge of getting the #2 seed.

  6. So they'll flex the NE-IND game, but the schedule makers thought that this is an amazing prime-time match-up?

Yeah really. It's a shame Monday night games can't be flexed. I realize these 2 teams were the 2 battling for the division crown the final week of last season, but it was still won with a 7-9 record.

  7. Eagles @ Dolphins - We've made a living this season making mediocre QBs look like All Pros. Add in the fact that Miami is playing very well of late, and we are not.

Browns @ Steelers - Steelers need the game more, and are the better team.

Texans @ Bengals - Bengals are home, and are playing a beat up Texans team down to their 3rd string QB, and likely no AJ.

Bucs @ Jaguars - This is a tough pick. I don't know what Freeman's status is, but if he is out again, I may change this later.

Chiefs @ Jets - Jets need this win to keep playoff hopes alive.

Vikings @ Lions - See above.

Falcons @ Panthers - I hope Carolina wins, but I see Atlanta being desperate and needing it more.

Colts @ Ravens - Ravens can't afford to play down to a Colts team they have no business losing to.

Pats @ Redskins - Brady has a phenominal record against NFC teams.

Saints @ Titans - This could be an upset, but I think the Saints will be too much for Tennessee.

Bears @ Broncos - With Caleb Haine under center for Chicago, Denver may actually be able to win comfortably for a change.

49ers @ Cards - Niners have clinched the west, but they still need to clinch the 2 seed, and the Saints are breathing down their neck.

Bills @ Chargers - I don't believe San Deigo is back on an upswing, but they should win at home against a Bills team struggling after a great start.

Raiders @ Packers - Is there any reason NOT to pick Green Bay for a 13th straight week?

Giants @ Cowboys - I expected a better Giants performance last week, and they put up a great fight. I expect a great fight again Sunday night, but I have to lean towards Dallas at home. I hope the Giants prove me wrong.

Rams @ Seahawks - Is it at all possible to flex this game to say...May or June, when we'd be so desperate to see football again, that we'd actually watch this game?

  8. Apparently Dallas' special teams coach saw the play clock running down and was worried about getting off a clean kick and asked Garrett for the timeout. It's still funny but like someone mentioned, their biggest blunder was not calling a timeout with 25 seconds left to try and get closer. A 49 yarder should be made by any kicker but it's still not a chipshot. Oh well. Early Xmas present for me!

  9. For many years, Koy Detmer was our holder, and a very reliable one at that. Early in Reid's tenure, he was known to run fake plays, and Koy successfully pulled it off a couple times. They were not regular passes though. It was basically just a flip to Akers who got us a couple 1st downs on fakes. His last full year with us was in 2005. I don't recall who our holder was throughout the 06 season, but I believe it was the punter. We actually ended up bringing Koy back for the playoffs that year, and in the rain, he successfully held for the game winning kick against the Giants that year. Ironically, that came the following day after Romo dropped the snap in Seattle that would have put Dallas ahead.

  10. anyone remember the eagles-cowboys playoff game donovans last year in philly...

donovan acted like a goofball the whole game...

playing air guitar & scaring the dallas fans...

That is how i will always remember him...

Same way many of our fans remember him. That clip has been used many times on our board.
