  1. Guy looks like King Kong on the line. I thought he was supposed to be smallish?

Nevis is not smallish at all. I know that was said about him coming out of college but he must have packed on some weight in the offseason. The dude is every bit of 310 or bigger.

  2. When I was at camp a week and half ago there was a guy saying Davis was going to be our new backup QB. He was adamant about it. I told him he wouldn't see week 3 of preseason and he got kind of mad about it and proceeded to tell me why he was gonna be the new backup. I just had to laugh and shake my head.

  3. Painter is not aweful he's a pretty good QB for a backup, how you gonna criticize a guy who played his first game against the number one defense then his next game in a snowy weather? This preseason Painter threw a pic then came back the next drive and brung the colts down the field to get a field goal....

Hey everybody, It's Curtis Painter himself, right here on our little message board.

  4. Nice what are you on??? He was guaranteed 7 million for Seattle.. Regardless.. Drip.... They didn't actually say "hey take" 7 million to leave the team lol!!!!! I could care less if the Colts sign him or not but it is very funny to see people think he's not a proven veteran WR that could help the team... Fatsworth for the Pats is a great example, an incredibly high paid player for Wash(because Daniel Synder is a *) who eventually went to the Pats for next to nothing. Were talking about a top tier receiver coming to the Colts for a great price (if it happens). If he gets signed great if not no biggie, but he IS a top tier reciever..

Dude, Im not gonna keep arguing about this because TJ is not even worth an argument. He is no where even close to a "top tier reciever" just isn't brother! You are stuck in 2008 if you think he is.

  5. He had 911 yards in 2009 thats stinking it up??? Horrible worst WR in the league ohh he also started 16/16 games.. Stimpy you * lol!!

Yeah it is! He was also cut loose by a Seattle team that needed all the help they could get. They paid him over 6 million dollars to leave because they said he was too slow. Teams don't pay good players over 6 million to go help another team if they have anything left in the tank. Thats just stupid! So yes he has sucked since he left Cincy. Baltimore couldn't wait to get rid of him too. He may come in and contribute a little bit, but some people are acting as if he's gonna come in and supplant Collie, Garcon, or Gonzo. Thats just ridiculous. If he does sign here, it will be for an "in case of an injury" insurance and thats it.

  6. Ok, as much as it pains me to say this, but. Did it look like Castonzo was playing tonights game like a chicken without a head. He was getting beat, missing blocks, and blocking the wrong player. I love him to death, but he looked like he had no idea what he was doing.

Did anyone else catch this? :(

Nope! I think ya may be alone on this one. Thought he played pretty well for a guy with very little practice. In fact, IMO he was much better than Linkinpuke.

  7. Why would you want to see what other backs can do? We already know what Ricky can do and he would fit well with this team! I think If we let Donald Brown go and get Ricky and let Gonzo go for TO man I think this team can make a super bowl run in hopes that every body can stay healthy.

God, I hope this is a joke. If its not it could quite possibly be the dumbest thing I've ever read here.

  8. I've been saying the same thing for months now. I read that article just the other day, in fact. I thought it was quite informative. Sapp was a GREAT athlete, but his numbers were b/c of Booger taking double teams at the NT position. That's Exactly why I made a thread for Pat Williams to come here and take Vet Min. Because, unlike others, I see the importance of the NT position in our 4-3 D and it hasn't been filled (properly) since McFarland had to retire.

    Good post Bayone

Months??? I've been saying it for yrs.. The Colts since Dungy came here have been very weak at the NT posistion. Aside from very short stints with Cory Simon and Booger, the Colts haven't had anybody that could handle the posistion. Mookie is an ok player but he should be a backup to a much more dominant player.

  9. Quite possibly the best interview I have ever seen

I don't think that's a big deal. DeSean Jackson was thought to be too skinny to play in the NFL. Marvin Harrison was never the strongest guy on the field. CJ2K isn't too big either. I'm not too concerned with what he looks like or how big he is, I am more concerned with how he does on the field. I consider him to be a rookie this year since he got no playing time last year.

The difference is that Jacksons job is to avoid being tackled, but Thomas' job is to tackle the reciever after the catch. Im just concerned with how big so many WR's are now that this kid don't stand a chance. I mean this dude is freakin skinny as a rail.

  10. One thing that bothers me is that Joe Reitz a tackle is starting at LG over McClendon. That doesn't say much for a guy who I thought might take over as our new LG this season.

I've been to camp 3 times this week and IMO McClendon looks much smaller compared to the other lineman. Don't have the bulk that you would like to see in a guard. He is bow legged with skinny lower legs. When I did see him out there he seemed to get blown up pretty bad. Im not sure he has much of a future in the NFL and I understand why some "experts" didn't think he would be drafted at all.

  11. nevis is good too short to bat down over the middle passes but he may get to the qb before he can throw

Being short and undersized may have been the knock on him, but its not really accurate. He was standing next to Tommie Harris yesterday(and I was 10 ft. away from them) and he was every bit as tall as him and looked much bulkier than Harris. I don't know if he spent all summer gaining size but he is bigger than his listed size.

  12. I really like the Sims signing. Not too excited about Anderson or Harris. Anderson has never done anything to make me think he can actually provide anything to the defense(hope im wrong), and Harris has been done for a few yrs. now. Don't know if he will even make the final roster.

  13. I do appreciate that Polian has at least been open to signing players this offseason, but Harris is damaged goods to say the least. It would surprise me if he even makes the final roster unless he's had some kind of miracle knee procedure that has cured him. I hope they are not done bringing in people. Maybe Whitner and Pat Williams.

  14. Hughes is not a DT... Anderson has the ability and a real chance to be not only a starter but a difference maker in how far we go this year

I got news for ya, Anderson's not a DT either. You have high hopes for a guy that has sucked for 4 straight yrs..

  15. I don't see why people think a DT who's past his prime and can't stay healthy would be an upgrade.

I agree. Not a Tommie Harris fan and don't think he would be an upgrade over anybody on the roster. Abrayo Franklin, Kelly Tolavou, or even Pat Williams are all big NT guys that I think would help solidify the run stopping. Franklin is probably too expensive but there really isn't anybody killing theirselves trying to sign him.

  16. Im really not getting why people keep suggesting we sign another WR. Its not even close to a need and if they are gonna spend money on another FA it would be better spent on a DT or a SS. WR should be about the very last position they should be thinking about right now(if there is an injury, then thats another story).
