  1. I honestly can not understand why people keep suggesting the Colts pick up RB's or WR's. Have they never really watched a game or do they just not understand the game. It has to be one of those, because there simply is no need at all for either one of those posistions.

  3. I fully expect AC to the best starting LT opening day.

In his limited action last year Link showed that a) the game is not too big for him (good thing), b) he is not ready to play consistent minutes (bad thing). And, IMO, there is no way possible for a smart, 4 year starter from a major college program can be worse than Link.

I agree, but somebody has to blink first and get this kid into camp. They simply can not afford to play hardball with this guy and have him miss all of training camp.

  4. I would go with Thomas. I think he is the best run blocker out of the group but he does need work in pass blocking. As long as its not Jamey Richard tho I think they can get by. Richard don't belong on a NFL roster anywhere, he is flat out awful.

  5. I don't know how this is not concerning to everyone. Right now we do not have a LT that is capable of holding the fort down. I do expect Costanzo to cave in eventually and sign his contract, but as of now he is not on the field and even when he is, he's still a rookie. Does anybody really trust Link or Toudouze to protect Mannings blindside? Because I sure as heck don't.

  6. Offensively, with the additions of 2 big o-lineman, I think they have gotten better.

Defensively, In my opinion, I think we maybe a little worse. I don't buy into the injury excuse because even at the beginning of the season last yr. the D was awful. I also do not think most of the problems are really about who is playing the posistions, its more about how they play the posistions. Basically, I hate our defensive scheme. The 15 yd. cushions by our CB's is a joke and really needs to stop.

  7. This whole thing still makes no sense to me. I keep seeing that this is only saving the team 1 mil this yr. with the dead money owed. I wonder if Hayden done something to wear out his welcome here or if he was still too injured to contribute otherwise, why not hang onto him 1 more yr. and cut him lose next yr. when it would be better cap relief. Something don't add up.

I doubt we'll bring in a RB, but we can use some depth at DT an S for sure.

Is Diem still on the roster? I thought I read he was cut, then NFL Network (or ESPN) said they're going to restructure his contract because Peyton wants him back.

Here's a roster link, not sure how accurate it is:

Wow! Unless we do something major in the next day or 2 we are in serious trouble on the defensive side of the ball. Moala is far and away the best DT on the roster(and im not sure thats saying much). We are remarkabley thin at DT, CB, SS, and in my opinion LBer.

  9. moss is the best reciever ive ever seen..still better than garcon and many teams #1..if his head is right and hes winning..hes still gonna b great!

so u think moss didnt have great hands?? and it was just speed and jumping ability?? man, moss had it all!!

thats y i said u start w gonzo and go up from there! (because u start w a bag of chips before u trade the sandwich, or future sandwiches)

mike hart doesnt play for this team!

    now what were u saying?

Wow! Have you completely lost touch with reality? Moss is a headache, if you don't believe me ask the Pats, Raiders, Titans, or the Vikings(twice). He would detract from what this team does and once again, the last thing the Colts need to waste money on is an old, washed up, and whiny WR. Also if Polian called Philly and offered Gonzo for Asante, Philly would laugh theirselves to a stroke.

  10. I have been checking every source that I know of on the internet and can't find anything about the Colts draft picks, or really any news at all regarding the Colts. So either the Colts are the only team in the league that have figured out how to block the media from news or some people are just making up crap. I still haven't seen anything reliable about Diem being released, unless you consider twitter accounts from supposed "Colts Insiders" reliable.

  11. Do you really think that starting camp four days later is going to be the difference between a playoff appearance and a losing season?

And do you really think that the Colts think they can just waltz into the playoffs every year? This is really interesting to me, because they've been in the playoffs every year for the past nine years. Did they ever just waltz in? Did we just waltz in last year?

My point is that the Colts(FO) seem to have a lackadaisical approach to the operations of the team. Whether that be true or not(it is simply my opinion). I have heard complaints for yrs. from other fans that even in training camp and preseason they seem to take an easy and sort of lazy approach to things. The same could be said about free agency and improving areas of weakness on the team. Im the 1st to admit that they have still made the playoffs every yr. for 9 straight yrs using this style, but one has to wonder how long this will work when other teams around the league continue to catch up with the Colts. Fans don't seem to want to admit that Manning isn't getting any younger and to think he will always be there to bail this team out is ludicrous.

  12. Nobody undestand......

    1st goal win the division

    2nd goal make the playoffs

3rd and final goal win the super Bowl

Every team starts with these 3 goals

Yes the Colts came up short on the last goal many years but I don't want a fire sale and sign every tom, dick and harry thinking thats going get me goal #3. Because thats not the answer.

I think you would be hard pressed to find any logical Colts fan that would want a to do a "fire sale and sign every tom, dick and harry". What many Colts fans would like to see is a resolution to the on going consistant problems on the O-line and DT posistion. I honestly believe that is all any logical Colts fan really wants to see. I know there are fans out there that brings up every available FA even when it makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Those are the type of fans that really don't follow the game very closely and just wants the team to make a splash in the media. It is Polians incessant insistance that we can get by with lesser talent players at the afore mentioned posistions that drive me and others insane. Proven time and time again that we need better talent but never doing anything to correct it.

  13. That's the right attitude! Instead of fixing decade long problems, let's just be thankful we aren't the lions, browns or rams. That's the way to be! I don't need to fix my flat tire on my Lexus because it could be a Pinto! Brilliant!

Btw the Rams, won and lost just as many SB as we did in the 2000s.

Wow! Logic. Thats a concept many Colts fans don't get. "Trust in Bill"(even though he does nothing to fix the same problems yr. in and yr. out). "As long as 18 is here thats all we need"(even though 18 can not and will not continue to save our butts every yr. espesially now thats he getiing older). "But hey! at least we have made the playoffs every yr. unlike a lot of other teams".(I always thought the goal was to bring home the Lombardi instead of hanging another division banner from the rafters.) One poster put it best in an earlier post,"the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results". Truer words can't be spoken about this team.

  14. Uh! Of course they're not doing enough! You actually have to do something to do anything. Every other team in the league are releasing players to make cap room, signing FA's to improve their team, or at least signing their rookies they drafted. The Colts on the other hand are sitting in limbo waiting to see what happens with Manning. The Colts are also one of the last teams to start camp(if not the very last). It's like they believe they can just waltz into the playoffs every yr. without any obstrutions what so ever.

  15. There are a lot of Colt fans that are just enamored with the teams past success. I know, I know. They still won the division last yr., and went to the playoffs, but the truth is they still fell below expectations for the umteenth time over the yrs.. We all know what the main problem has been for all this time, but as usual, Polian has refused to address the issues. The run defense and the running game has been the Colts downfall for all but maybe 2 or 3 yrs. since Polians arrival.

Yes, he has drafted players and signed other teams castoffs to try and patch up these area's and it simply has not worked. Money is always a huge problem with the team, but that has to fall back on Polian as well. It is my opinion that Polian has signed some of our own players to bad contracts over the yrs. that haven't been worth the money they make(Deim,Hayden,Sanders, and I know many would argue but Brackett isn't worth the money he makes either). I think what drives me crazy the most is Polians insistance that they should be able to get by with lesser talented DT's, but every single yr. he gets proven wrong and does nothing to fix it.
