Yeah I did and he was probably exaggerating. I spend too much time on reddit myself and have read a lot of extreme takes. Not referring to doug specifically but too many people out there are acting like you are either all in all the time or you dont care. I do think they care but they are not doing everything imaginable to go all in at the moment.

We are not all in for the SB right now, as in spare no expense and over pay to fill needs. To me the secondary is probably not acceptable right now today either though

There are several threads on reddit with a lot of people acting like the team should have gotten this done no matter what. As if the asking price didnt matter and CB blew it big time. Thats why i posted some of the comments that i did. The internet really went wild over this.

So uh what other free agents are we looking at? Too soon for this?

I guess whnt I want to articulate here is I think they need to make a final offer to the Cheifs and Sneed if they haven't already. If it doesnt work then go get a veteran free agent CB. In this plan you dont want to wait, those CBs will get taken.

I dont think we can go into the season with the CB group we have now. There's some young potential but thats not enough imo. They could use a high pick on one but thats adding a rookie to an already young and inexperienced group.

I'm trying to think about what makes sense for everyone based on what we know. I dont know everything about nfl cap space and contracts so its fair to question me on that part. I believe his asking price is close to the cap space we have now. There could be a wild card that Sneed or his agent just want to drag this out and act like they are fine staying in KC, but then change their asking price at the last minute.

Im not usually a big Holder fan but he is making the most sense of anyone here.

Waiting also opens the door for a team like the titans to make a move first too It just doesnt make sense

I dont care at this point if we land him or not. We have limited cap space and waiting until the draft to make a move as big as this will keep all of that money tied up until then. Do you not understand that? If we land him today thats great. If we dont get him at all i wont be mad. Why would they wait though? They know what he wants. Seems pretty clear to me Sneed wants more than the colts want to pay. Doesnt look like an on going negotiation to me at all. In the past CB has talked about how he makes and offer and doesnt budge much from there, maybe on details but not if they are millions of $ off.

What happened with Sneed is the team made an offer and he wanted more. This doesnt mean they will negotiate with him forever until something gets done. They made an offer... Sunday does matter too, players and gms take breaks from this stuff. Id be surprised if anything breaks on this today.
