Ekwonu Ikem for Jags (Trevor needs that)
Garrett Wilson for commanders (McLaurin deserves not to be in double coverage all the time)
Kyle Hamilton for Vikings (not sure if he will be available after top ten in real draft)

Which is basically the NFL draft in real life rule
Ha ha, yes.
Gives the commissioner enough time, gives others have a chance to get better players.

Looks good even though I haven't picked yet.
Is there a reason we don't do the whole first round?
I think the draft timing is 7-10 pm ET, first round and the next round continue the next day from where we leave off today.

People are missing picks and getting jumped by the next in line when their time runs out.
That's the design of the draft, if somebody misses their pick, they can pick anytime they come online before end of the day when the commissioner picks BPA for the missing pick(s). Others in order can continue to pick at their draft slot time and have a chance to get a player that could've been drafted at the missed draft slot.
You can at anytime check the top of the page for the list of draft picks and selected players for the round.

Is this a good player? That is a move Rick Spielman may have made. He loved players from Notre Dame. If this guy is as good as Harrison Smith, I want him.
The two guys that have been linked to the Vikings are Stingley and McDuffie. Stingley is the grandson of the man that Jack Tatum hit and led to his paralysis.
He can play slot, WILL, rush, defend the run, even ST, cover WRs and TEs, and just be a moving piece. Above all, high football IQ, and communicator. I think it will give flexibility to vikings defense.
They need a very good cornerback, but I think one elite CB alone will not make this a championship team at this point. If that was the case, I'd have selected one of the two you mentioned.

With the 12th overall draft pick in the 2022 Gavin's mock draft,
Minnesota Vikings select
Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
There are many exciting prospects, but can't pass up on the best talent scouts swear on. Vikings are on rebuild stage (competitive or otherwise) , and they've just started, this is the first step finding the flag bearer to put on the shoes of Harrison Smith for coming years.

With the 4th overall draft pick in the 2022 Gavin's mock draft,
Seattle Seahawks select
Malik Willis, QB, Liberty
He's got to progress on the job, I believe he's capable of doing it, and his leadership and hunger will make him a competitive QB i in the NFL.
For the #5 overall pick, @Clem-Dogand the Giants are on the clock.

When was the last time an OT went first in the real NFL draft?
I see that this draft class has 3 OTs that are rated highly. Should the Colts move up to get one if one drops to, say, the middle of the first round?
I think, Baker Mayfield, in 2019...
He's not offensive tackle, but I found that offensive, heehe..
To really answer the question, I'm not sure I remember
A quick check:
2013 Eric Fisher
2008 Jake Long
1997 Orlando Pace
1968 Ron Yary
One of them was vikings.
I'll create the thread for trades shortly

What do you think about our moves so far? As you know, I am not a fan of the Cousins extension but the team had no other choice. Kirk's agent crafted a contract that is hard to free oneself of. I wish we had allowed his contact to expire.
So far we have acquire Harrison Phillips and Jordan Hicks, two guys to improve the defense. Is Zimmer still the head coach?
I don't mind not being quiet in free agency. I don't like signing high-priced free agents (like Cousins).
Thanks for checking with me @NFLfan, I was not following closely, just checking latest moves as new league year starts.
Cousins contract has been bad, as I see in OTC now, I think the best they can do is to play out this season and work with him to waive the "no trade clause" next off-season and trade him to a needy team and at least get one first round pick in return. That's what I'd do, and count it as a blessing. We'll see how smart the new set of management and coaching staff are. We'll have to wait for a year for that or much more if they decide to go down the rabbit hole with him... Which is where we have been already for last 4 years.
I take solace that this new management haven't gone on to sign a big deal with him, goodness gracious. It seems, at least to me, that they haven't bought into Cousins at all, but they're gonna play the game professionally this year due to his existing contract before they came in and the cap space the team had and the work they need to do get the roster better. I believe they'll part ways next off-season, and that's what I sense from this GM & HC. we'll still have 12.5 million dead money in that case next year '23, but that's probably the best scenario.
I'd be more interested to see what they get in return for Cousins. It's good we have him for few more years in contract or at least until 2023, because that's the way we can trade him and get even two first round picks. At this point, I'd focus on that from now onwards if I were the GM, because that's the best thing that could happen to vikings for having him in Minnesota this long. If they don't get enough returns at all, it would mean that they aren't good to be in their job, as simple as that, as I see it playing out in future. For comparison, Philly GM got first round pick and more for Bradford and Wentz each, ha ha... That's a great GM in terms of how they could make great returns out of worse situations.
I see Anthony Barr not in vikings roster as per OTC, looks like I may have missed the related news. That's good news actually. Cutting Michael Pierce is OK. Tyler Conklin, OK too.
I'm very glad we got Jordan Hicks and Harrison Phillips, they're my very favorite players for years now, I was very surprised when I read few hours ago thatwe got them. I was in Philly when Chip Kelly drafted Hicks, and he's so intelligent and everywhere on the field, he can play lot of positions and schemes. We won't miss Barr as long as we have Kendricks too. Do we still have Nick Vigil? Phillips is awesome in run defense, I believe, PFF ranks him highly I guess. So it looks like current management is trying to get better at stopping the run on defense, which sounds like a good sign to me.
I hope Hunter and Christian Darrisaw stay healthy this year and play to their potential. I'll check other moves, reply later, gotta go. Let me know how you feel so far, I need to catch up with league news, I've not been able to pay close attention so far.
I'm happy for Russell Wilson, I thought I'd only believe in Brady retirement news, even if he announces it, only if the regular season starts and he's not in any of the roster. Until then there's always a chance he's wanna keep playing, ha ha, good to see..

@VikingsFanInChennai Who do you want as coach now? I am so glad that we did not go after Josh McDaniels. I hope we get a simple coach like O'Connell or DeMeko Ryans. Jim Harbaugh is too big a personality. Let him go to the Dolphins.
I'm fine with Raheem Morris or Kevin O'Connell, I just read in DN that Ryans has backed out his availability and will stay with Niners.
What I actually want is someone who wouldn't extend Cousins and send him off at next opportunity and actually be able to identify and draft a QB.
That's all I care about with the new GM or HC, someone who could draft a Justin Herbert for Vikings, fully taking the risk that the pick could go waste like Daniel Jones or Haskins or Lock, but would still go for it every time until they get a franchise QB for Vikings one day because that's all that matters. All other jazz would take us nowhere. If that requires a Jim Harbaugh hiring, I'd go for it.
