  1. If Steichen wants a Desean Jackson type in his offense - Worthy probably fits that mold.
  2. Dejean, Cooper, and Kneeland - that would be outstanding. Although, I see a WR in there somewhere. Legette, Franklin etc.
  3. And a familiar team the Colts have done business with in the past.
  4. Eagles: Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman has been making phone calls to get an idea of what teams picking higher than the Eagles would be looking for to swap with Philadelphia, which has the 22nd overall pick. The Eagles own two second-round picks (their own and the Saints’). Seems to be somewhat of a consensus out there that there are 18-21 or so 1st round caliber players in this year's draft.
  5. If I was going to the deal I would trade for MHJ to grow with essentially a rookie QB. The Colts would have their Triplets going forward. If the Colts had a veteran QB and were currently in contention then probably JJ.
  6. I will just add, that there is some really good discussion on the board today - by everyone. Good to converse with such knowledgeable Colts fans; regardless of opinion. It makes this part of the off-season leading up to the draft much more enjoyable and interesting to hear everyone's take.
  7. I really like this player as well. Despite some knocks about tightness, sometimes it comes down to on field production and this player has proven himself. I think he would be all-pro caliber in the slot and box - and good enough on the outside. Football IQ and Ball Skills are excellent.
  8. Yes, given Ballards method of team building it could really delay progress, unless Ballard decides to dip more than a toe in free agency - which is costly and no guarantee either.
  9. Would only so something like that to secure my next franchise QB. Beyond that, no.
  10. Yeah, in some corners Legette is getting Debo Samuel comps (Potential). Certainly some hype around him.
  11. Xavier Legette feels more like a Ballard Pick. A late bloomer 6'3" 227 lbs. 4.39 40. Only 2 drops, and makes contested catches - a 9.88 RAS to boot. Someone with tools he can give to Reggie to improve his route running.
  12. I agree, I don't want the Colts to give up their 2nd to move up. . IMHO, the Colts should not trade back. Colts will be in a position to draft a difference maker with the early run on QB's. Winning NFL teams create mismatches, and the team is in a unique position, as this year's #15 pick is equivalent to a top 10 pick value wise.
  13. Chicago may be a willing trade partner. They only have 4 picks in this year's draft and no 2nd round pick.
  14. " Bears insider Bill Zimmerman of Windy City Gridiron turned some heads with his first mock draft. In it, he stated that GM Ryan Poles would trade down from the 9th overall pick. The team coming up was the Indianapolis Colts, seeking to land another offensive playmaker for Anthony Richardson. In that case, it was Georgia tight end Brock Bowers, knowing the New York Jets were a favorable landing spot for him. Zimmerman never mentions these things by accident, so it was interesting" Schrager said pretty much the same thing.
  15. If 4 to 5 QB's are drafted before the Colts select at #15 as projected. the Colts should stay right where there are. They will be able to draft a future All-Pro player if Ballard's assessments are correct. Especially, if the selection is at one of the anchor positions. There will be no reason to overthink it. Take a Day 1 starter -high potential impact player and move on.
  16. Can probably add the Rams. They might be motivated to move up to draft a QB. Next years QB class is weak and Stafford is 36.
  17. Shaping up to be an eventful 1at round. Broncos currently have the 12th pick Tony Pauline reportedDenver is open to floating cornerback Patrick Surtain II as a deal-sweetener, on top of, in all likelihood, at least two first-rounders — if that's what it takes to get The Guy™ ‘I would just say if it’s a player that you think can change the landscape of your organization moving forward, like quarterback, then you do whatever it takes to get him," Paton said on Thursday during Denver's pre-draft press conference. "If there’s consensus in the building, a love in the building, you’re aggressive and you try to get him. It doesn’t mean you’re going to get him, but you try. So we’re open to everything. We’re wide open.”
  18. This guy is missing players. For example , Payton Wilson is expected to be a 2nd rounder and is not to be found in the 100..
  19. The closer we get to the draft the more I see Penix Jr. and Bo Nix being projected as possible 1st round selections. Some team will see jump on the skill set of Penix Jr. If Ballard does decide to trade back he should have no trouble finding a trade partner. Rather see Ballard more aggressive this draft compared to past years rather than go safe on high value picks of good to marginal return with additional picks. Colts need 2 impact starters out of this draft + depth; Ballard can do this a #15 (Or Higher) and #46 ( Or Higher) in this draft. I hope he stays at 15 and trades up in round 2 to get his highest rated player at positional need, and where the cost to move up is manageable.
  20. Yes to a MID Round OL selection - Quality depth is still an issue.
  21. FYI, for anyone that did not already see this: Ballard.s Pre-Draft Press Conference is tomorrow at 12:00 PM on Colts.com
  22. SportsBetting. listed their betting odds for which positions are most likely to be selected by each of the 32 NFL teams in the first round next Thursday. So, what do they think is most likely to happen for the Colts? Cornerback: +120 Wide Receiver: +250 Tight End: +275 Defensive Line/Edge: +700
  23. Dejean ran a 4.43 at his recent pro day. I agree that he may be better suited for Safety in the NFL due to tight hips.
