1 game at a time, this is a long journey for us, a marathon not a sprint and it is about protecting your home court. So far we have done that, Bucks have a great team so I know come Sunday they will come out guns a blazin, so we have to be ready.
Yeah going to be a battle. Still don't think Giannis gets back for the series. Need to get it over in 5 and reduce the chances

Same. We probably need to add some depth/competition.
Yeah, can't imagine we don't add a guy to the room.
We have (5) picks currently, so I will use that as basis, on what would like to grab.
4th - CB/LB(unless we go Hicks here)
5th - S
5th - RB
5th - LB/CB
7th - LB/WR/OL

Yeah if they don’t sign a vet at FS I think cross will be the FS. I still think they will sign a vet.
It feels like they are going to sign Diggs, or he at least is giving his best effort to try and convince them.
I imagine we will know in the next few days, potentially.
Draft settle up, UDFA. Few releases and couple vet additions.

I'm not sure if he is feeling some pressure to win this year, but he has definitely put on a little belly and the hair is not a good look for him. Some men (not many) are able to pull off long hair, Ballard is not one of them.
He said in some interview a while back that he was growing out his hair with some friends for something.
He then said some had chickened out and cut their hair already, but he was seeing it through. (Something along those lines)

I would like to see 2 lb’s drafted! I thought that was the biggest position of need before the draft.
There are still some good options I think.
Gray
Trotter
Ulofoshio
Jacobs
Ford
Magee
Definitely anticipate taking 1, but could be 2?
Won't ever usually question Ballard's late round LBers.
Really though he has a pretty good rate in the late rounds on getting some quality players.
Coverage LBs is definitely our biggest weakness and has been since we got the DT spot fortified with Stewart and Davis signings.

Pronounce it AiRAiD (air raid) and it works.
2 I's. I see you. 👀
ARAD(air raid) sounds suitable.

Do the Colt's continue the trend of selecting players with medical history issues? All three, so far, have them. Seems a bit out of the norm.
Dayo
Blackmon
Brents
I'm sure there's more but those 3 popped in my head real quick.

Rodney Thomas II is our starter and he was drafted in 7th round out of Yale. Seems none of our LBs were early round selections... So I wouldn't be surprised if upgrades can still be found in these later rounds.
I think Blackmon and Cross are the starters as we sit here today.

And while I'm not sure what will happen after the draft, there are a ton of veteran corners and safeties still available. Including Justin Simmons and Quandre Diggs, whom everyone wanted on Day 1 on free agency. So maybe we still add some veteran help.
Diggs is interesting.
He keep his name attached to the Colts by commenting on some of these post
Maybe they will look back at signing him, here after the draft? Think good chance of vet signing at CB too.
As far as CBs there are still multiple I like here in the draft. So I imagine here in these first 4 picks(4th-5th).
Tampa
Jackson
Hart
Abrams-Draine
Would be ok with any of these guys here in the 4th. I like a couple other guys after them, but more 5th round. Who knows maybe one of these guys make it to the 5th round.
8 hours ago, Superman said:We also have one 4th round pick, and then three 5th rounders all bunched up from #142 to #155. Ballard already traded out of the 6th, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him either trade out of the 7th, or trade down in a swap that also moves him up higher from one of the 4th/5th round picks. He might want to keep a pick in the 7th just to grab their favorite UDFA target...
Wouldn't be surprised to see Ballard move around the draft a few times today.
Could trade up in the 4th
Could package a couple 5ths and get back in the 4th for a second pick.
All kinds of options
I do think he will hold that last 7th round pick for their favorite UDFA, like you stated.

That 8 man rotation is really good.
Paye, Ekubam, Latu, Lewis/Dayo
Buckner, Stewart, Davis, Lewis/Dayo
Have:
Land, Leo, Avery / Adebawore, Bryan, battling for last spot or 2 on the DL

I go to NFL Draft Buzz all the time. It's an interesting place to find alternative assessments, rather than the cookie-cutter truncated stuff you see all the time elsewhere. And I like their graphic presentation of player stats.
And what they said about Goncalves is a combination of what a lot of people have been saying. He's stout, has leadership, and is steady. But he's also got short arms and needs to get stronger. He can play outside, but probably needs to play inside. He had an injury his senior year that limits his exposure for evaluation. He may not be a pro bowler, but he's a guy you'll want next to you in battle. He's a rascal. I'm gonna watch for him in camp. Gonna be interesting.
I do too, I actually just like their easily viewable set-up.
Easily viewable profiles while in a mock draft, use the Jimmy Johnson trade chart, so trades are more realistic.
As far as grades, so many out there, it's just an additional reference

I’ve never heard of this website. Why would it have any credibility with you? What did you see that makes you say “look terrible”. ???They have his measurables and what percentile they are in.
His weren't overly impressive.
I like the pick, not everything is about top measurables

Thought there was good chance of OL in day D.
Very minimal to move up. 6th rounder
Sitting here with one 4th and three 5ths, we could still trade back up tonight,or to top of 4th tomorrow.

Now traded up in 5 of last 7 drafts.

According to Tony Pauline the Colts are worth watching for Georgia WR Ladd McConkey in round 2.
I saw that, then I saw him say that about 5-6 other players. So tried to forget that I saw it.

Same, about being a little off.
Definitely wouldn't rule out either of those happening.
