if JB is back and the unquestioned starter, I won’t stop watching games or boycott the team, I WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THEM, because their my team.

I just dont get it as well. I am perfectly happy sticking to my point, and I don't go around policing other's opinions, except when the repeatedly openly degrade my team, and when they say "WE", as if to include me in their stupidity.

You are. In regards to actively rooting to fail. I have been a fan for 25 years and have never seen fans in real time taking pictures of plays to point out how he missed open receivers. Any mistake it quickly pictures and uploaded as proof he sucks. It is just disappointing. I remember a time when we supported our team and the players.

So do I, and the internet generation for the most part, has become seemingly entitled to insult from behind a keyboard or a cell phone.

That's like saying if the engine (QB) isn't running right you replace the body, tires, transmission, etc and then hopefully the engine will run better.

No, it's more like saying....I have the money for a great engine, but there are no for sure great engines available, and since I need some other things, I'll buy them now, and spend for a great motor when the time is right.

Fans want the Colts to go all in for a QB, regardless if it fails. I, however, believe that Ballard is smart enough to choose the right decision. But, should he choose to not go QB, I'm sure that the GM level brains in here will persecute him verbally.

I think a lot of this depends on how some of our guys bounce back from injury and how the FO evaluates their development.

I'd rank WR #1:  As the OP said, TY's seemingly slowing down.  I think Campbell can be a very good player for us, but I don't think he's a #1, I think he's more built to be a dynamic guy who plays mostly in the slot but can be used to run reverses, line up occasionally outside, and just cause headaches to the opposing D-Coordinator due to his speed/athleticism.  I thought Campbell showed signs of improvement as he got more time, but unfortunately, every time that happened he wound up getting hurt.  Personally, I think we need a big WR who can be a very solid #1b or 2 to TY (maybe Funchess is that guy, and maybe we can bring him back cheap since he missed the whole year w/ injury?).  I think Pascal is developing nicely, and M. Johnson may turn out to be a nice #3 WR.  I think Dulin may still have some room to improve, but I think we've seen the ceiling on most of our other WRs (Rogers, Williams, Inman).  Maybe 'Reece Fountain comes back fully healthy and gives us a legit weapon... otherwise, I think we desperately need to add at least one legit 1b/2 WR this offseason.

#2 - CB:  I think Ya-Sin will be solid with another year to develop.  Moore is solid (IMO moreso at slot than outside) but has trouble staying healthy it seems.  I think we wound up overpaying Desir after he had a decent year last year, he didn't really impress me this year.  Wilson seemed like his growth is stunted.  I think Tell can be a decent player, but unless we upgrade here, I think CB is our weakest link in the secondary.

#3 - TE:  It sounds like Ebron may not be coming back (he struggled with drops again this year).  Doyle's a solid blocker and a good #2 TE.  I think Alie-Cox is a solid #3TE, but it'd be really nice to have a true #1 TE and I don't know that Ebron is the guy there (if he even comes back).

#4 - Interior DL:  I guess this depends on Turay.  He was really coming along on the edge, but got hurt.  I think he can be our long-term guy there, if he's healthy.  If that's the case, I think we need to add one more bull to the IDL (if not, edge may be a bigger issue).

#5 - QB:  I think Brissett would play better with better weapons (why I listed WR and TE higher than QB).  I'm not convinced Brissett is the long-term franchise QB, but I think he played well enough this year to give us a legit chance at winning the AFC South.  Had Vinny not missed those kicks and had Brissett had a few more weapons around him, I think he's a good enough QB to get us to the top of our division.  Not saying we shouldn't be looking for an upgrade here, but I think his play improves greatly with this season under his belt and improved weapons around him.

Well said and this follows what I am hoping for. The order is correct in my mind as far as importance/need.

How many SBs do you expect the Colts to win in the next 40 years if they had the QB performance of Jacoby Brissett in the 2019 season?

This is such a horrible... horrible argument...

Did you even go back to what I was responding too with that statement? You know what horrible argument I am tired of?....The idea that just because we aren't winning as many games as fans want, that the front office needs to do it differently. The arrogance in this forum is astounding. I'll guarantee you that if we could somehow switch QB's to one that most of these complaining fans truly feel is an upgrade and have them play the Colts season exactly how it went down for Brissett....and we could just as likely see the same results or even worse. I have never seen more hindsight brilliance from a group of fans in my 50 years of following sports.

I don't know what Brissett's ceiling is, but I sure as hell know that this team is being built right, and it serves zero purpose to constantly degrade our QB. He's a Colt, for Christ's sake.

You know what else is horrible? The fact that my team just won a game in dominant fashion, in a way they really haven't all season.......and there is thread after thread about how bad the QB is, how bad the play calling is, how the GM is failing, and how stupid we were for not losing the game. It is one of the most pathetic displays of fandom I have witnessed.

Panthers win means absolutely nothing ,they packed it in and the quarterback a rookie in his first start

I wonder what Quentin Nelson would think of that, after getting a concussion giving his all for his team to get a win. My guess is, he would disagree with you, as would every member of the Colts...from the top to the bottom.

Dilfer (2000) only started 8 games that year, had almost as many INTs as TDs. The D might have scored more TDs than him (#1 D in the league).

Flacco (2012) threw for 3800 yards that year. He also average almost 300 yards per game and close to 3 passing TDs in the playoffs. Is that game manager?

Twist it all you want, the likelihood of average or below average QBs, or game mangers, winning SBs is far less than a team with a good QB. You know it, and everyone else knows it.

Thanks for answering my question. 1 SB win by a game manager, and 1 SB win by an elite (?) QB. Colts have 1 SB win by an elite QB, and one play away from a SB by a game manager. Well golly, sure does explain the reason why nearly everyone is on board the "Get a new QB train". I mean....with the disparity in those numbers...who could argue?

It’s great that you refuse to be negative. So do ostriches when they stick their heads in the sand.

Not being negative has nothing to do with being naive. It has everything to do with choosing to be positive, and reaping the benefits as a fan, from making that choice. I am positive all the freaking time......and am not surprised in the least when things don't go right.

In some ways, it is the opposite of being "real" and miserable/dissapointed/depressed/etc.

Don't fall out of your  chairs when after the 1st 3 picks we don't draft a qb. I feel Reich and Ballard are all in on Brissett for next year. His receivers should b back and they will give him more weapons via free agency and the draft. Remember, this team was 5 and 2 and then it all fell apart. U have to admit that we had an ungodly amount of injuries to the wr position.  I am all for giving him one more year.  I am not sure their will b much more value at the qb position when  it comes time for the Colts to pick in the draft.  I know everyone is down on JB, but man the draft is such a crap shoot. Look at Mayfield....Darnold....Allen.  They r all top 10 picks and have they really out performed Brissett?  Lots of capital and average returns.

    Bingo.

The fan base as a whole on the other hand, likely won't be as accepting.

Thank goodness, that is not a factor in the teams decisions.
