The "mystery team" is a figment of his agent to drive up the price by the giants back closer to what his client wanted, let's be real. Funny how this story comes out right after the giants lose a DL to injury last week...

    "Mystery".. Mystery solved

Or a team really is interested. Nothing has been solved at all, he's still available with no creditable sources confirming why.

Just preparing for them injuries that are sure to come...Hope they don't but... Mewhort, Anderson, Parry (Legal), Jones (Gone), Langford...etc.. Still would love the colts to go after Sherman for Dorsett and a 4th Rounder type swap.  If it happens great...if it doesn't no worries. Cheers

    That's a joke right?

Yes, once speedy pass rushers come up against the better NFL left tackles, their game has largely been nullified (compared to college).  So they have to develop other methods.  For instance, Dwight Freeney's spin  move was devastating to those who thought he was going to continually speed rush around them. This allowed both moves to be effective, if the tackle has to be prepared for either.

He would never made the sack with a pure outside speed rush, but his legendary spin move does. One trick piny speed rushers don't typically fare very well in the NFL, just flashes at times.

Baby come back, you can blame it all on me......I miss that guy!! And well said, just wish you had him in his Colts uni:(

Really? He has a different opinion and you call him ignorant and a dam fool? Is that coming from someone who don't even know how to spell damn?

 you really just did that, hahahaha what a clown. And its not that his opinion differs from mine, its that it truly is ignorant. If you watched the 2016 Colts and came back thinking this team is a running game away from being competitive you are a DAM fool.

  5. I'm with all of you guys, it does seem pretty doubtful because CB isn't going HAM in FA. At the same time, we obviously showed great interest in Dontari Poe. Maybe CB doesn't view Hankins on the same level as Poe, but for the price we could ultimately get him compared to what we offered Poe it would make sense. Im 100% for it but am not expecting anything.

He's got elite pass rush ability. How could you deny that ?

He has pass rush ability. Elite, ehhh I'd personally disagree because he's got a beautiful dip and rip and great outside/in "crossover" type move but that's it. He definitely can develop more but I'm not going to assume that. Lack of strength is really going to hurt him, he's not going to run by every T like he did in college.

No it's a correct statement. This team needs to be able to run the football more. It would help both side of the ball for this team. It would also take pressure off the Luck.

Its an ignorant statement. You said and I quote, "All this team needs is a running game". Yes we could improve our running game, if you seriously think its all we need your a dam fool. It'll improve our D sure, from 30th to 28th, goodie! Takes pressure off Luck which is great, but again not even a top 5 need.

I'd go DT for the 2nd 2nd rounder...Montravious Adams or Chris Wormley (Run Defense nearly fixed)  5th rounder I get David Sharpe or Dunker OG depth. Grab stud CB next year.  Nice Mock

Yea we need more 3rd/4th string guards. None of those DT can play NT which is what we need. We're not waiting til next year to grab a corner.

Man I've always respected you and your knowledge of the game more than about any other poster bro. But what's up with you giving me all this hell? I'll always respect your knowledge of the game, but otherwise It's making me lose the respect I have for you in general. I just want a great team by any means necessary. And btw Tim Williams has superstar potential. Everyone (every poster) isn't the same Supe.

When you say things like this you become a target. Yes its your opinion but its not common and really not well justified. Tim is one dimensional and a poorer athlete then we all thought. Add the drug and weapon stuff and I just can't see how you come up with super star potential

Too many pass rushers in this draft for Bowser to be in round 2.

i.e. Garrett, Thomas, Barnett, McKinley, Harris, Williams, Anderson, Rivers, Willis, Watt, Lawson, Basham, Hall, Hendrickson...

I'm predicting rounds 3-5, and will have a fall like Scooby Wright in last year's draft.

Pfffft you must be a Grigson scout looking for a job. I'm predicting your homeless around 3-5 months.

I've had the trade-down option in the first as my preference for some time.  I'm starting to put Bowser as my pick for the Colts in the #25 range.  But, I think his value is as an athletic Inside LB.  He is extremely good in coverage, as well as instinctive.  While he should be a great blitzer, he is under-developed as a rusher.  So, if you view him as an edge rusher, I can see you thinking he's a third round guy.  But you're overlooking the best parts of his game.  He's what everyone seems to think Reddick will be...

I agree he fits the WILL much better then an edge. But he's still not worth the #25 pick. I think theres a good chance he's there at #46 or if we did trade back maybe even the other 2nd round pick.

I'm not sure Hankins will sign for a "bargain price"....   if he would,  I think he would've signed for New York's reported offer of $4 Mill per.      But if I were Ballard,  I'd have offered him $6 Mill.     I'd pitch it as 50 percent more money to live in a place that costs half as much to live in.     And you have a chance to start/star for a team that's got just as good a shot at winning the division as the Giants do.

If we got him,  he'd be on a 1-year make good contract incentivized to play well.     If we lost him in 2018,  we'd likely get a compensation pick in 19.     I'd take that.

There's got to be much more to this story than anyone really knows....

Hankins for 6 mil is thrift shopping. Maybe that's just my opinion but take away his 1 bad year according to PFF and he probably gets at least 8 maybe 10. 24 years old better 0-1 tech then the 2-3 tech he was forced to play in a 4-3. Again may just be my opinion but NT is one of our biggest needs, David Parry is garbage and Al Woods is not a true NT and might also be garbage.
