Wow. Not the responses I expected in this topic. You all need to wake up and stop believes that teams passions in Collins was wrong just because he ended up being clear.

You don't make an educated guess or trust your instincts on something as serious as a rape charge. That is just really bad business and no one with any idea of how Public Relations work would say otherwise.

Unless he somehow clears this up in a day in a half, Conley is on no ones board and will be drafted by no one because that is the RIGHT thing to do. You don't "Bet" on things like this. You only make the decision if you have cold hard FACTS (which would be made available to the public in that instance) that he is 100% not guilty. It's not "he should be knocked down a few rounds" or "I just wouldn't take him in the first", it's that no NFL team should draft him in any round. Period!!!

Really disappointed by some of the posters in here. I don't care how much this "happens all the time and turns out to be false". You don't play around with stuff like this.

First calm down there guy. Second that is such a dramatic take on the situation. No we dont know all the details and NFL GMs probably dont have all the answers either but Conley has a side to this story. If him, his agent, and his lawyer present a strong case that he is innocent I'd be 100% on board if he fell to the 3rd round. No they dont have along time to do it, but for the sake of this kids future they better work over time to be able to provide teams evidence. If they cant then I'm with you, but I personally think from what I've read that this is a money grubbing gold digger. I trust Chris Ballard anyways, he's already proven to me he's a wise man with good judgment and he hasn't even had his first draft yet.

A LT who had his worst year to date.  A LG who can't pull.  A 1rst rnd pick center who can't run block.  Those are our GOOD linemen.  After that it gets worse.  I can't see how you can spin this into a good situation.  I'm hoping they are just good enough to get in the way for three seconds.  Pass every down.

    Dumbazz

  3. Its he's there in the 2nd by all means, I'm not making him my #1 pick. He's not a guarantee, yes he seems to be healing very well but that just begins the rehab process. He won't be ready to play at the beginning of this year and maybe the whole year. If he's at #46 fantastic if not take another stud CB who will be sitting there. Fabian Monreau, Chodibe Awuzie, hell I wouldn't be mad if we took Gareon Conley in the 2nd as long as we know enough about his incident. Sidney's my top guy but the world will not end if he's gone.

I think at #15, Conley may well be one of the BPA's since he's probably the 2nd best corner in the class (3rd if Jones hadn't gotten injured). Ballard has consistently said he likes BPA but if you have guys rated the same then you go for the biggest need. CB is arguably our biggest need on the team. If Conley is there I would hate for us to pass on him.

Jones would more than likely be in the top 3 BPA at that pick. Pretty much no question. As long as his medicals check out, which I have no reason to doubt that they will, then I think we have our future no.1 and no.2 for the next 5 years and the flexibility to dump a big contract after the season allowing us to go for a big player in FA as well as maybe a decent comp pick.

Anzalone's health I have addressed. 2 season ending injuries but nothing repeated or chronic. Doesn't have bad ankles or bad knees. The health issue doesn't worry me as much if his medicals check out.

I'll admit Wise is an outside the box pick. My issue is that I don't like Mathis or Phillips and Price is a reach at that point.

I definitely dont mind taking 2 corners, I guess I could get on board with Conley and Jones with the first 2 picks. Our grades on edge rushers are far apart. Ejuan Price is the highest rated IMO out of the 3 I mentioned and I'm not 100% confident he makes it to that spot. If he was 6'2 6'3 he'd be a day 1 pick but he's 5'11. Pro ready technique, great burst 1.64 10 yard, and functional strength throughout his entire frame. No he'll never be a 3 down player but he's a day 1 pass rush specialist who impacts our team this year. Wise either plays the 5 tech or takes a year or 2 to learn how to play standing up. Jo Jo Mathis only falls here because of his injury. What I love about him is that he's used this time off to work on his body and he's becoming a freak. Not the best athlete but can bend the corner well, uses his hands as well as any other edge in this class, and has the ability to drop into shallow zones. Phillips is just an explosive athlete with potential.

    could happen... or

Titans might go Foster at #5, Corey Davis at #18  and corner in round 2...

If Humphrey and Conley are gone, then a pick from Quincy Wilson, Kevin King, Adoree` Jackson, Tre'Davius White, Jordan Lewis, Cordrea Tankersley, or Desmond King   ... etc.

This is why the draft is fun!  Most here don't know the true needs of other teams and how they grade players or whether they are need driven or BPA all the way.

This (and trades) causes the board to fall different than anyone anticipates.

And there are other teams that might covet Foster too...  who wants him more?

They dont have a 2nd round pick

If I'm the Titans, i use pick #5 from the Rams for Foster If that's a guy I really want) , and then #18 for a cornerback... not the other way around...

The visit was to get to know the guy... and / or grill him about his ruined drug test and his 'food poisoning' incident.  Gauge his truthfulness and character.

Which hopefully doesn't happen! I think its either Williams or Lattimore at #5. And Conley/White or Davis/Ross at #18.

Not just him.  i don't want Foster either. I think we need at least 1 pass rusher. We also need a solid corner.  I hope highly graded players that fit this are available when we pick.

Thank God your name is not Chris Ballard. Take a pass rusher, we have 7 picks in the first 5 rounds if you didn't know in a edge class thats pretty nice. Corner at #46 in the 2nd will have great value. Your really sleeping on Jabaal Sheard and Jon Simon but we will add an edge just not round 1. Foster is the best talent IF he falls to 15 which I still don't think happens.

Cornerback is more critical, bringing Hankins in will help mask any real deficiencies our MLB's have. Wait until the later rounds and scoop up Alex Anzalone, and the dude from Lindenwood. That would be a solid draft

Can say that either way. Foster 1 Monreau 2 Jordan Lewis 3. Hankins is great but he's not all-pro.

  9. Eehhhh not liking this. Conley is very solid I just have a hard time believing he's the best player available at 15, seems like a small reach for a need. Love Sidney Jones pick but back to back corners with the first two picks is not ideal IMO. Alex is a good talent, taking him in the 3rd would scare me because he's unreliable with his health. Wise is not a good scheme fit and guys like Jo Jo Mathis, Ejuan Price, and Carroll Phillips could all be there and maybe the pick after. Walker Jr. is a nice pick but I really like Kendell Beckwirth, a true MIKE next to Anzalone or any ILB we currently have. At that point in the draft Conner is a good back. Vanderdoes is solid as well.

    Just my take on it

That is your take. Your entitled to it.

I believe he is tough and plays quite fast.  I think Landry overstates his hands, I think they are good, but not quite elite.  Otherwise, I'm only worried about medical, off field issues, and pass blocking.  Nothing else in his resume turns me away.

I only place Fournette, and Swiss army knife Christian McCaffery ahead of him.

    True my opinion,

Maybe I hold RBs to a high standard, but I just don't like Cook's ability to break/make you miss tackles. He has deceptive power and can bounce of whimpy opponents but he's far from a powerful back. He's quick in the open field with amazing burst but when has Cook ever taken any bodies ankles? A sound, break down, wrap up tackler gets him down all day.

Agreed McCaffery will be a better pro

Honestly,   I have no idea,  and I'd love to know because I like them both.    I'd be happy if we drafted either.

The names I listed were all the names that were mentioned in the story....

Sorry,   wish I had more.     If I find more,  I'll be happy to pass it along....

My two favorite 4th round backs. They could very easily go late round 3 but let's hope at least one slides to one of our 4ths
