I shutter when national pundits repeat the mantra; The Colts need help on the right side. If Clark and Haeg end up being above average, I could see a late round draft pick making sense as a backup but o-line is definitely not their most pressing need. Pass rush trumps all other positions, if one isn't there CB would move to the primary need.

ILB is just as big of a Need, but I agree that o-line is not.

oh but according to some on here, we only have 16 million.......

Preach brother! I posted a topic what to do with 30 mil left and all anybody could say was, "its more like 20 mil bro". Of course now they're ganna say, "I was factoring in rookie contracts", and blah blah no you where just wrong. We could easily go after a guy like Hankins and get him for a bargain price but it doesn't seem likely.

Yeah I wanted to go more medium term. I'd have like to grab a passrusher too, but I wanted to fill some gaping holes with talent first.

I would've grabbed that pass rusher instead of Foreman. Derek Rivers, TJ Watt, Jordan Willis. Jake Butt is really overrated IMO and he doesnt compliment the TEs we already have. Eddie hopefully runs on April 8th, it would be a pretty bad time if he fell to the bottom of the 4th. Eddie V doesn't really have the size/strength at the POA to hold up at NT. He honestly reminds me of David Parry who is awful. Stevie T or Jarron Jones as a project, weak NT class.

First, I said he would be a good fit, not a perfect fit. But honestly, I don't see any issues with him. I'm not putting him in a 4-3 front, so his length isn't a problem. I don't see a lack of strength at all. At Rush backer, his usage in space is going to be limited -- maybe 10% of the time will he drop back -- but he does it well enough, has enough bend and flexibility and change of direction to be adequate in short zone coverage and to chase to the flats.

The only thing I agree with is that he's not going to be an other-worldly pass rusher. The question at #15 isn't how many sacks I think he'll get, it's how good of a player he'll be.

Also, I said last year that Joey Bosa probably wouldn't be a big time sack artist, and he proved me wrong in Year 1, without a full camp. I'm learning to leave room for my projections to be inaccurate.

Those look like pubs. I wasnt quoting you I was using a phrase everyone says. Yea maybe he's decent in a 4-3, IYO he's a good 3-4 scheme fit, but he has no "perfect" scheme fit. We could NEVER drop him in coverage forget it dont even experiment with it throw it in the trash, when he's on the field he's crossing the LOS every play. What I mean by playing in space is setting the edge in the run game, chasing down cut backs when he's back side, and to me his bend and agility rushing the passer is average. Alabama game shows alot of what I'm talking about. Yea he really won't ever be an All-Pro talent probably not even a Pro Bowler and his ceiling is very low, what you've seen is really what your ganna get. Bosa came into the league with an amazing bull rush and elite hand placement and length. He really has 1 technique he's mastered, but he did it flawlessly. Derrek doesn't have a go to move and that bend everybody loves is very sloppy. Doesn't take the sharp angle right off the Ts hip but rounds it off. Pushed off balance too easily because his head is ahead of his feet. All of that is coachable but this is supposed to be his day 1 go to. Might be a good player if used to his best abilities, but if we take him at 15 were passing up on better talent

he had a good combine, but tape tells a different story. right now Ive seen him mocked around the beginning to middle of the second so im going off of that. walker and harris ran the same 40 and yet harris is called a speed rusher and sheding a few pounds means carrying last weight which adds speed. Teams are concerned about his coach-ability and character. Jerome is actually a very good player. He just doesnt have the size or speed of other top prospects or from a big school, but trust me, this kid is all heart.

It was his pro day but now I'm nit picking. His tape tells another story?? Reallllllyyy? I can't help you there bud, if you can't see the instincts, side line to side line aggression, and ability to flip his hips run with WRs(Vanderbilt game) then idk maybe go back and watch again? Or stop taking what Walter Football says as an amendment and actually watch your own film. The mocks you see with him going mid 2nd arent by scouts or experts they're by writers for a newspaper acting like a scout.

That's a different story than whether he'd be a good fit with the Colts. I think he would be. Whether he'd be the best player to draft at #15 remains to be seen, but I would be fine with him. I doubt he lasts to #15, honestly.

    I disagree, to me he doesn't have a "perfect" scheme fit at all. He doesn't have the length and strength you want in a 4-3 DE and also is too limited in space to be relied on as an every down OLB. He can pass rush, not other worldly enough to take at 15. I think he'll be sitting there at 15, and then hopefully again at 16(;

Harris maybe, but Davis will fall for the reasons I already listed. Walker is better off being in a 3-4. He's too small for a 4-3 DE. He just needs to shed maybe 10-15 pounds to play OLB. I take anything said to the media with a grain of salt. Ballard said we can't buy a team and yet we signed 10 free agents. Witherspoon will fall because of his off the field antics. I don't think anyone dislikes Jones, but I did project giving up three picks to get him. Of course Jerome won't play right away, but you have to love players like him who's all effort.

He just ran a 4.56 and jumped 38.5" on that injured ankle plus watch the tape he played well when healthy just not as well as last year I'll give you that. Id honestly bet you money he goes round 1, maybe if we trade back to pick 20-25 he'll be a Colt round 1. Walker is too slow and limited athletically to be a OLB, might be a good 5 tech but that's not a need. Sheding lbs doesnt make you a better athlete. What off feild issues for Witherspoon? So what, none of those picks would equal the value of Sidney Jones. I'd much prefer either going safety earlier with the 3rd round pick or wait until next year and draft it high. Butler fills the hole this year but a late round pick doesn't do much but add depth. I'd go Marcus Williams or Eddie Jackson in the 3rd over Mixon.

Sidney Jones definitely isn't going RD1 now. My guess would be 2nd. But as for Lewis and Mixon. I think Lewis is late 3, early 4. Anyone's guess on Mixon. But there's going to be 1st round talent fall to the 2nd, 3rd, and even the 4th no doubt IMO. You know how the NFL is with domestics. A lot of teams would be scared to death to take Mixon or Lewis because of publicity and their image. It's completely realistic to think we could get Williams or Jones in RD2, Mixon in RD3, and Lewis in RD4 IMO. I mean an injured Jones isn't going to fall to the 4th, but would IMO be a steal in the 2nd.

I'd love taking Sidney in the 2nd. Idk Lewis didn't even really hit her, what may cause him to drop is it is the 2nd time with the same girl. I still can't see him falling out of the 3rd tho. Fabian might even go day 1 if a team loves his skill set enough he warrants a 1st round pick but no later then the 2nd. I'm not worried about landing Mixon, if he falls to our 3rd round pick fantastic if not so be it. Irsay even said were looking for a late round RB, I like Chris Carson in the 5th.

They'll be 100 by week 1 though. Moreau would be a steal if he fell to the 4th like somebody indicated. Imagine taking advantage of all this. Williams in RD2. Lewis and Moreau in RD 4. WOW. I like a handful of corners better, but I think Moreau has a VERY high ceiling. Possibly a low floor, but he could be like a Vontae esk corner if he pans out IMO. With that said I'd rather have a bigger corner. 6'1 or so. Moreau is what? 5'11, 6'? I still like him, but I go back and forth with him. I think I'd take Witherspoon instead honestly. Witherspoon in RD3, Lewis in RD4 would be amazing. Kevin King I'm not a fan of, but I think Witherspoon has the athleticism and the big one....The ELITE ball skills, and IMO, he has the tools, and talent to develop into a superstar caliber corner.

Yes we can imagine but in reality I can't see any of that happening. Is a team really going to take Corn Elder over Fabian Monreau because he tore his peck...no. Is Damante Kazze going before Jordan Lewis because of the domestic dispute, probably not. Its just not realistic especially Fabian. He'll be ready to play week 1 maybe 100% physically but not 100% mentally because he will miss time and miss reps. I was a big fan of Ahkello but its really annoying how big of a pwuuuuussy he is in the run game. He also struggles getting out of his back pedal on quick hitches and out routes with those long ol' legs. He as good feet and flips his hips smoothly but doesnt play quick hitting routes well. Kevin King is not a good scheme fit for us, in a zone scheme I think he can be very productive. Fabian is 6'1/2 almost 6'1 and 205 rocked up. He's the perfect scheme fit but wed have to take him round 2.

  10. Michael Roberts from Toledo with a late 4th. One of the better blocking TEs in the class, great red zone target, and a big frame. Fills all the holes DA left and does it with a bigger body and less injuries. Not a great athlete but is the perfect Y TE. That's all DA was and Brandon Williams and Roberts compete for the spot. If we don't draft one I'm cool too, I'm really hoping Williams could be exactly that plus a great athlete.

    George Kittle. End of discussion.

Excellent blocker, great athleticism, and good hands.

He's severely underrated so grabbing him with one of our 4ths is possible.

He's getting media buzz!! Mayock has him as his 5th TE. Ahead of butt shaheen legget smith Hodges all those guys. If he's there in the 4 I'm happy but the blocking with the athleticism probably makes him a mid-late 3rd

He would be a good fit with the Colts. He can play Rush backer, he has good technique, he can bend the edge, and he has a nice get-off. He just probably won't be a 10+ sack/year guy. I say that based on his tape, not his 40 time.

I just think this draft specifically will have much better talent at 15.

  13. Harris and Davis both go round 1. Walker is not the best scheme fit but I like him as a prospect. Mixon is great but Irsay even said it we're looking for a late round RB. Witherspoon probably doesn't make it that long but I'd be happy if he did. F everyone I'd love getting Sidney in the 3rd IF his medicals have shown ALOT of progress since tearing the Achilles. Jerome is cool but he's not a guy who can play right away I dont think. Probably will be a nickel corner in the league some day.

Takk will be fine. He'll be 100 by preseason. I'm just trying to figure this out about Moreau. One of my favorite CB's in this class. SO.....Bump. Bump. Bump. Any of the 100 plus views got an answer???

He should be back by training camp but not 100%. Takk should be back but not 100%.

I read he'd be back by late July in time for camp. I don't think he's there in the 3rd. He will be over valued because he's an explosive athelte IMO. He doesn't have great balls skills is inexperienced at CB and drew a lot of flags at UCLA. I still think he goes top 50.

I dont think he's anywhere near the 3rd probably still goes early 2nd. I'd love him in the 2nd if he falls that far he's an great talent. His ball skills are solid with room to grow I agree but he reacts and uses that elite athleticism to make a lot of plays. Perfect foot work and frame for our press Man.
