I only said to a viking fan where he is on the staff to not worry that i thought he was a good evaluator of talent and that is the reason i have for beleiving it. People don't win exec of the year and don't stay in the league very long when they suck at their job. IF you want to go through every pick or trade or signing he has made with me, i'll do it but with caveat. We only look at what the pickup was considered at the time he took them and not purely result oriented. They all are calculated risks. Even if you are 80% sure on each one, that 20% fail can happen a lot. Given that i'll start with Andrew Luck, now i know you personally see this as the worst addition to the colts in the history of time, and i will give you that he lost out as rookie of the year, but at the time he was the right pick. I bet if you are being honest that you will agree. Do you want to give a grade out of 10 on each pick? This one i give a 10/10. What is yours and do you want to go to fleener?

I hadn't really thought about all of these arguments. you all convinced me. I was so wrong. Grigson is terrible and doesn't know anything about football. They probably only hire him and promote him because they don't know anything about football too.

I agree with most of your post but when they hired Steichen they said he will fit the offense to the qb not the other way around.

I’m not a grigson supporter. I trust Ballard. All I’m saying is there’s evidence that grigson has skill as an evaluator of talent. if you can’t see that I don’t think you are being objective.

I can’t go into great detail right now on moves he made but the guy did move up rapidly to become a gm at a young age, won exec of the year in his first year despite drafting a qb that lost rookie of the year to the second drafted qb (this is tongue in cheek). I remember when we hired Ballard, Andy Reid was asked about Ballard and made a point to say how much he liked grigson also. that alone made a big impression on me. He struggled mightily with putting together an ol but it isn’t like he was out of the league for long. I wouldn’t want to hang out with him but I have to believe he knows his stuff.

I do. So does Andy Reid as well as the Vikings apparently. I’m not a fan of him. I can be objective though

Bill polian used to do it too. That’s how we got Reggie Wayne. Be patient. Addison may be worth it. I have no idea though i think Grigson is a good talent evaluator. He’s just not a good leader or people person.

I agree with you both. This is the most excited i've been about this team since luck retired. I always wanted to win now in the past but there will be growing pains. I just want to see AR play and improve this season.

When looking at the RAS posts, and this is a question for all of them, it says he had the fourth highest RAS out of over 2000 other corners. Do we know who the other three are or the top ten in RAS and does that translate well to the playing field?

I have a solution to the accuracy issue. if he is completing 50% of his passes, just have him throw twice as many times that would equal 100%.

It’s been 30 years but I think I could still get by singing most of them. Lol.

We’ve had so many miserable seasons. And I know it will take some time to get this kid up to speed but I feel like we have life again. I look forward to seeing this guy grow and what this team will become.

Colts did it with Marshall Faulk to edge and it was an upgrade.
