  1. How the hell is that control? He NEVER had control. Not in the beginning, not in the middle, not when he was crossing the line... At no point did he have control over that football. This is nonsense.
  2. Run run pass... special bonus if it's a screen on 3d and long.
  3. That's the dagger! The thing Ballard professes and repeats over and over and over again that he values the most are among the most deficient areas of this team.
  4. If their balls drop during halftime we might actually have a more competitive second half. Lets hope!
  5. Nope. You are way behind... we are done chopping the wood. Now we are climbing mountains!
  6. If we keep this going we gonna get no.1 and will be able to trade back and get some extra picks.
  7. Technicalities! Look at the big picture! 7 pro bowlers! MVP QB. Best GM in the league! Best HC in the league.
  8. Seriously! I don't know why everybody is so pesimistic. It's just one game. This team is totally gonna turn things around and we are on our way to the SB. All those negative posts are just ruining my mood. 20/21 for Lawrence is totally normal and 21-0 down a deficit we can work with in the second half.
  9. If only liking them and saying it made it true... like some sort of magic spell...
  10. Very similar vibes to the games vs the Jaguars in game 17.
  11. This Pierce thing was a drop even before he got hit. This is a second drop for him this game. Not a great way to earn some targets from your new QB.
  12. I thought he played well in the first game and he made plays today. At the very least I hope we give him a practice squad spot.
  13. I would have said Raimann is a steal too. PFF has done some work on what people consider steals and reaches and what they have concluded is that unfortunately there is no such thing as a draft steal - the players that get drafted considerably lower than expected usually perform at the level of their real draft position rather than at their projected draft position. On the flip side - what people call a "reach" is actually a real thing - when a player gets drafted much higher than his projected draft position, he's very likely to not perform at his real draft position level, but rather at his projected draft position level. This is kind of fascinating and the explanation for this is kind of interesting too - for a player to be considered a reach only one team needs to value him way above other teams and reach to draft him. This means all you need is for one team to make a mistake, and this happens with relative regularity. On the other hand for a player to be considered a steal, a lot of teams need to pass on him(sometimes multiple times) and it's much less likely that multiple teams are making the same mistake - i.e. usually there is a reason why they would be passing on him and sometimes that reason is hidden to the public so the projected draft position is not affected(for example, maybe all teams know he has a serious injury or off-field concerns that the public doesn't know about and that affects his performance).
  14. Here are my picks for the two teams I was in charge of... with the help of @NFLfan(thanks!) Green Bay Packers: 22. Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State 28. Devonte Wyatt, DL, Georgia 53. George Pickens, WR, Georgia 59. Tariq Woolen, CB, USTA 92. Khalil Shakir, WR, Boise State 132. Jeremy Ruckert, TE, Ohio State 140. Dohnovan West, C, Arizona St. Cincinatti Bengals: 31) Kenyon Green, G, Texas A&M 63) Josh Paschal, EDGE, Kentucky 95) Kerby Joseph, S, Illinois 136) Charlie Kolar, TE, Iowa State How do you guys think I did?
  15. All of the QBs this year are either projects or low ceiling types. I personally like Malik Willis and Desmond Ridder the best. Willis has elite physical and athletic traits(best athlete and best arm in the class) but has some way to go when it comes to the mental part of the game - command of the offense, anticipation... Ridder has been growing on me more and more lately. He doesn't look like an elite athlete on film but tested like one... Tested better than any of the super athletes at QB that have entered the league lately(Lamar refused to test at the combine). Everything in his tests is above the 90th percentile. And in addition, there are raving reviews of his leadership and mental qualities from interviews and blackboard work with teams. And you can see it on tape too... He does look like a QB, looks like he knows what he's doing, goes through progressions well, finds his hot reads and his outlets with consistency. The knock on him is - he looks a bit robotic with his throwing and his accuracy and placement are inconsistent. His arm strength is not great too(might be improved if he fixes some of his mechanics issues), some of his deeper balls die in the air. About the next draft - it's very possible there will be better all around QBs in the next draft - Stroud, Young both seem to project like top 5 picks... But after that I'm not sure what will happen. For example, last year at the same time people thought Spencer Rattler would be top 5 pick this year, but instead he lost his starting job in Oklahoma and has now transferred and noone really would project him to go high anymore. My point is - we don't really know what will happen next year... Maybe some new stars emerge, maybe the ones we think highly of now falter. Anthony Richardson is another potential high pick. I personally have a dark horse for next year already - while watching Wan'dale Robinson, I kind of started falling in love with his QB - Will Levis. He looks very promising to me. He was a big recruit for Penn State, but it seems like for whatever reason he couldn't win the starting spot so he transferred and he has the look of a starting NFL QB to me - big, strong, athletic, good arm... I have to watch more of him but that's my very early favorite. So... To sum up , it's very possible next year will give us better QB class, but that doesn't really tell us much about whether or not teams like the Vikings or the Colts will be able to get in position to draft those better QBs. Maybe what's left after the teams in the top 3 pick their QBs is players of similar uncertainty and question marks as the QBs in this current draft... That's why I'm advocating for going to get our guy now if our GM and coach actually love any of the prospects and think they can develop him into a franchise QB in this year's draft.
  16. Thanks for organizing and running it, NFLfan. I can participate in another round or two... But most probably through PM again.
