  1. Just wondering, which prospects do you see as elite at a position we arnt looking at? I think Powers-Johnson is one but taking a center that high makes little sense.
  2. There's a good mix of both from what I gather. Everyone was high on Quenton Johnson last year and the projections didn't match. Not saying he's a bust yet but even as much scouting and research was done he didn't meet first year expectations. Even with the research and extensive analysis there are still busts. The same research provides late round gems that everyone overlooked. Drafting and scouting isn't an exact science. There's a good amount of chance and a little bit of guessing. It's what makes it fun imo.
  3. Well, that is truly unknown. We could trade up for Nabers and he busts. Then we waste picks. We could end up with a 3rd round receiver that ends up having the best career out of any receiver in the past decade. "Difference-maker" won't actually be known for some time. You're just betting on projections. I'd rather keep 15 and find the playmaker that drops to us, and have the other picks. Nabers has a good chance of being a difference-maker. Not a garuntee tho.
  4. IMO, I can only say Nabers would probably be the only true difference maker that could make it to our striking range. He would he a perfect fit in our offense too. I doubt we trade up, especially for a WR in a deep WR draft.
  5. That's a rough one. I'd say you go with Latu and hope for the best. If he ends up being a star pass rusher then we would have our major three.
  6. So we out here throwing a fit every time another team makes a signing or trade? Lmao.
  7. I've thought this whole offseason that the best use of the chargers pick at number 5 is an OT. WR is flashy but tackles are far more important to the team. They can get a decent tackle in rd 2, but nothing like Joe Alt, Fuana, Fashanu, or Lathem. Lathem would be a trade back candidate, but a good one since the need a RT more than LT.
  8. You think there's any chance DeJean ends up falling to the second round?
  9. I won't completely dismiss him, but I'm not going to consider him the answer to our FS problem either. We still need to bring in a safety via draft, FA, or both. I remember everything about Scott pointing to being a good special teams player last year. Nothing wrong with that, and maybe he can grow into more. I don't think he would be much better than Thomas on defense though.
  10. I dont put much stock into Scott's spot on the defense, even if he does make the roster. He was projected as more of a special teams player last year before injury. That's all he would most likely provide to the team this year also.
  11. This thread has turned into one large tantrum of adults not getting what they want.
  12. I figured DT would be off the board after acquiring Davis. Boyd would be a good one to develop if he can be had in rd 5 or 6.
  13. With safety looking so bad in the draft, as well as what we currently have on the roster, we need both. Cross and Thomas arnt ready for starting jobs next season. If we had to choose one or the other I'd take Diggs and let Cross start. Let him take his lumps and grow. Would prefer Blackmon and Diggs though.
  14. I am a Ballard supporter, but if we arnt in the divisional round of the playoffs this year then its time for him to go.
  15. Jermaine Burton is an interesting case to me. He has the tools that we are looking for at the spot we're looking, but there is a large maturity question after he struck a female Tennessee student while the students ran on the field after beating Bama. Maybe someone has more info on the situation. I would say that's enough to be taken off the Colts board.
  16. It's really the biggest hole on the roster. Even more than CB experience. We have Thomas and that's it.
  17. At this point I'd rather have Simmons with either Quinyon Mitchell or Cam Hart in the draft. If the contract is massive and still an issue that tells me that he does not want to come here. He's probably inflating it as much as possible hoping everyone will give up and he can be apart of the 3peat attempt with the chiefs.
  18. Interesting that they were willing to trade Collins. Wonder if that signals they're about to make a move for one of the higher tier receivers in the draft.
  19. We really are collecting the great QBs of my 20s. Really never thought there would be Flacco, Ryan, and Rivers Colts jerseys.
  20. Decent mentor for AR. Hope we don't need him tho
