You make a lot of good points.

The problem with alot of these  she said/he said cases, unless there are credible eye witnesses, it's just that.....she said/he said.

My point is, just because someone makes an accusation, does not mean it's true.

And just because he denies it, does not make him innocent.

    Sometimes the details are suspect.

It is hard to prove......but even when it's easy to prove it's hard to get justice. I don't know what happened in this case.  Nobody does, at least that I'm aware of.

  2. People, I know this is news but remember this is a family friendly board.  Just because a graphic text is somewhere on the internet doesn't mean that it can be posted here.  So, use your judgement when posting to this thread or we'll have to close it

  3. There are plenty of recent examples of money, power and celebrity perverting justice.  Just look at the Epstein case.

People who have a hold over your career sometimes abuse that power.  Look at the Weinstein case.

And yet, every time we have an NFL player accused like this, people question the woman.

I don't know any men who would do this and I don't know any women who would falsely accuse a man of this just for money.  False reporting is a crime.......but even that is subject to money and power. Look at the Smollet case.

And men who pay for trafficked women get away with it because their privacy was violated.

It's all very depressing and discouraging.

The time and reason and the way she filed charges are all credible to me.  I don't know if it's true and he's innocent until proven guilty. I doubt she prevails just based on how these things typically go.

I am so weary of women being abused. Nothing changes

It always seems like previous generations think the younger generations are "soft, spoiled, hippies", while the younger generations blame older generations for everything that's wrong in the world.  It's not fair to either.

    Agree.  Also, it's not helpful.

I was listening to a podcast about aging and they were saying that there is almost no connection between generations anymore.  People don't know how to interact and appreciate on another.

My dad would always complain about the younger generation lacking morals and drive.  And I would always ask him which of his dozens of grandchildren he was complaining about.

Truth is, they're all hardworking good people.

It's petty and dumb that Kelly is benched for two games. For what? He sat on someone's couch for a couple minutes until getting hit with a vacuum cleaner hose and then he left. If he came and sat on my couch, I'd offer him a beer and snacks.

But hopefully that convinces him to address his problem.  You have to admit, it's not a good sign

It's always fun going to the games and learning the players. I'm just tired of being the underdog. We were on the Chiefs and Pats level finally and it was snatched from us. Although I've accepted Luck's retirement, I'm disappointed still, and we're back to being the underdog.

It's like the feeling when you work your way up to a good point in life, and a series of bad things happen and you have to start over. Back to the underdogs. I will say that the overall quality of the team will give us a fighting chance around Brissett though.

I hear that.  It is frustrating.

But we don't yet know how well they'll play.  If I'm not bored senseless, I'll be good

I value people's opinion more who are now in the situation where they have to go to 8 home games, cheer like everything's okay, and have their expectations ruined in the blink of an eye

Ah, I remember when we won nothing. We had fun and always ended games with the resolution "NEXT TIME!"

    And our time came.

I went to a preseason game this year, luckily not last week.  I had fun.  Just being in the stadium is fun.  I was focused on trying to learn the players.

Winning is the best, it really is. I miss Peyton and Marvin and others.  But there's more to football than that.  Right now I've got meal prep underway for what i'm sure will be an underwhelming game.

No matter.  Football is family time
