  1. I liked the 4th and two. Even though it didn't go the Patriots way it epitomized how they are as a team. Confident and willing to take risk...winners either way. That was a great game and really the SB. I was happy the Colts finally got to taste victory after having been slapped down so many times in the past.

Personally, i never understood the grief heaped on BB for that.

I was quaking in my boots when he went for it.

Hind-site is 20/20 and the fans blasting him for that would have been praising him for it if it had worked

  2. If I were her, I'd make my twitter account private.  Too many crazies out there and you really do not know who really means what they are saying.

    Better safe than sorry

And this does not reflect on the teams fans or the midwest.  Just a sorry example of the garbage some people spew online.

And BTW, deadspin doesn't post stories about nice tweets..........they make money talking about stuff like this.  Hard for me to take their high horse post about this.

  3. Because that's what fans do!

Not just Colts fans.   But fans of all teams in all sports.

On the New England board,  there are fans who complain about Bellicheck, Brady and Gronk.

On the Denver board,  there are fans who complain about Peyton and all his receivers and Von Miller.

It's the nature of the beast in sports.    There are some fans who complain even during the best of times.     Just learn to accept it,  because you're never ever going to change it.

It's not just sports.........it's everything on the internet.  It's like the world wide web is a massive venting tool.

For example, about any exchange on facebook......reviews on yelp. Internet attracts people who enjoy trashing

But not everybody is that way.  Even so, the people who prefer to be positive often come unhinged at negativity.  I don't know why they do that either.

    Just skip over it

  4. So.... Is that an offer? There's plenty of food to work with, and I'll give you all the creative freedom you want. Lol

I hope you get some food soon!

I'm coasting on leftovers this week

If you have a freshmarket near you get their chili mix.  It's like jarred spaghetti sauce but for chili

add peppers and groundbeef.......as easy as hamburger helper........and really good

  5. To be clear, part of of what I'm saying is in reference to a particular thread (@Broncos Forum) in which staff members here were being named personally, mentioned as bad people just for doing their particularly thankless task. I was infuriated at the nerve being bolstered, particular because it was coming from fans that used to cheer right along side us.

Nadine specifically was a target of character assassination, and I wasn't having it, even if she does twack me with the mod stick now and then.

    Thanks

I find it strange that people feel the need to talk about me at all......much less on another forum

Kind of middle school I think

it's when that gossipy mean girl (or boy) stuff turns bizarre that you are glad that nobody knows where you or your family are

We have a pretty friendly group here.  People that expect everything to be exactly the way they want it all the time though....should go someplace else.......... where they will undoubtedly blame me.

  6. It is a non-story. I won't dispute that.  His wife went about defending her husband the wrong way.  I wont' dispute that either.

You cannot win the social fight.  Also not disputable, but when you walk around and among these people every day.  People that, whether you realize it or not, you rely upon in some regard to, at bare minimum, honor the most basic of human rules and laws. Part of that is expecting a little bit of decency from others and extent the same courtesy that others extend to them.  So when you see stories like this, as predictable and unimportant as it might be, it's the kind of thing that just keeps you from having faith in humanity.  Of course we can ignore it.  But just because you ignore the troll doesn't mean it goes away.

Not that I expect better, but it still doesn't keep me from being all wth about it.  No matter how many times it happens and how stupid and indefensible the public reaction might be, I'm reminded of how pathetic human beings can be.  And no one can really get used to that (or shouldn't have to, for that matter).

    yep

some people are just awful on the internet

If they are like that in real lift..........I doubt they have friends.........which is not helping their social skills

I miss the way colts fans were when we never won

we were resilient and ever hopeful

    no more

  7. I'm not a Bears fan but lots of people I know are fans of both teams. I think Colts fans and Bears fans generally like each other.  Kind of an anomaly in the NFL

Although I can understand them being irritated with the Colts on account of the Superbowl.  I feel the same way about the Saints

I kind of like Packer fans too.  Must be the midwest roots that we share

Anyway, OP is a sad story.

  8. But see, that's the best part about providing factual evidence to confirm or refute a point instead of just continually making baseless posts that you hope no one will fact check you on. PROVING A POINT right or wrong goes a long way in STOPPING the circular nature of these conversations and ensuring that they are not 'endless' debates.

Being proved wrong SHOULD end it right there. But here's the problem: coming on and being so sure of yourself and basing entire arguments on false facts and hoping that people just take it as proof is one thing, but then to hide out and refuse to respond when you are straight up proved wrong, especially after being so vocal and sure about it before being shut down, leads me to believe that the poster doesn't even care about what's true and what's not...and THAT is what makes the argument endless and circular.

Who 'started it' may be in the eye of the beholder, but who finished it is not. He could at least come back and acknowledge it.

    thoughtfully stated

  9. It is always started by the same poster thread after thread after thread. How many strikes/warning points before you are banned for good?

who starts it is in the eye of the beholder

Feeling like banning a few people in this thread right now

If people want to keep posting here, they need to make an effort
