Good thing for Miami is that there will be about 4 or 5 first round QB's next year who are better than Tannehill. In my opinion they should just stick with Garrard for a year and take a QB next year. Barkely, Bray, Landry Jones, Tyler WIlson from Arkansas and Aaron Murray from Georgia could all be selected in the 1st next year.

I hate the Patriots, Bears, Chargers, and Ravens
The teams in our division have just been so insignificant to us this past decade they were an afterthought to me. Hopefully that'll change.
-
Is it just me or do Michigan State QBs make backup QB material in the NFL? Trent Edwards, then Drew Stanton, and potentially now Kirk Cousins???
Didn't Trent Edwards go to Stanford?
-
all his false start penalties this past season drove me nuts, I wish him well in retirement
He was no where near Tarek Glenn status in false starts.
-
IF he makes it out of the first round AND the Rams don't take him at 33 than someone will trade up with the Rams to get him at 33.
That would suck
-
49ers would not take him...They have Veron Davis who is lightyears beyond what Fleener could ever hope to achieve.
I only said that because he is Harbaugh's guy and he likes 2 TE sets.
-
Chicago could take him, 49ers, Giants, Rams at 33. I don't see anyway we get him without trading up.
-
Coby Fleener 40 time is 4.45 seconds at proday.
I think that's pretty fast for a 6'6" TE.
Yup, that's legit speed. I don't think he will fall out of the 1st now but I could be wrong.
-
So now they have two QB's who suck?
-
wow
Didn't I see this weekend that he was arrested in Hawaii
Maybe we can land his cousin Reagan Mauia too
Man, Five-O will get you every time over there. Book 'em Dano!
-
Yeah, I think this is the nail in the coffin against Jeff coming back.
-
Why? The TE class is weak and honestly not our biggest need at the moment. While getting Fleener would be nice, if the Colts do not get him or choose someone else just remember that there are a few other decent TEs as well in the draft and overall this TE class isn't good in comparison to years past.
Not that I'm saying I want Fleener over everybody, I was responding to the original topic. I do believe the Colts probably have him on a short list. My comment was more in reference to the Rams snagging someone that most people want when they have the first pick in the round because of that stupid rule.
-
What if the Rams take him at 33? I will be furious.
-
Next years 1st has a very good chance to be the pick that lands Barkley, Bray, or Jones, all QB's. Landry and Tyler will have RGIII trade value, while Matt exceeds it. Plus, Matt's favorite target, Robert Woods (wr), will be available if we miss out on an epic trade.
Fleener is not the end all, be all. Maybe he is worth a future late 1st, but not a likely top 5 pick, no way.
Yep, even if we suck out loud this year we can set ourselves up very nicely if we can get a deal like the Rams got this year. Heck maybe the Raiders will need a QB and give up more than Washington did.I love Woods though, he could be a Marvin type weapon for Luck.

I been a colts fan only the last 17 years Im not familiar with the colts of the 80's and such, Nick Harper I thought was an alright corner, quite possibly better than anyone we have had in that position since I been watching them, which still isnt saying much
Nick Harper was great for us. His wife stabbing him in the leg the night before our playoff game with the Steelers causing him to get caught by Roethlisberger is what I have an issue with.
-
This would be a great draft. I think the Colts should trade next years first round pick for a late first round, early second, to get Coby Fleener. He should be the difference maker Dallas was for Manning.
Seeing as how next year's # 1 would be a likely top 10 pick. No Way. Our second and a fourth would be enough to jump up to about #27 or #28 if we want to snag Fleener before the 49ers and Giants.

I think Irsay has probably been in contact with Luck and if there was any indication that he wasn't going to sign here, then no way does Manning get cut.
-
And I thought their secondary was bad already..
-
Yes this game worried me some. Against the best defense(i believe) he went against this year, he had a bad game. Well not soo bad. But not good. The nfl is gonna be much tougher than this.
Take a look at Peyton's final game against Nebraska. It was much worse. He's not going to be brilliant in the NFL right away, he will take his lumps like most rookie QB's do. I'm not worried about one game against superior talent. He still put up 30 points I believe.
-
Peyton Manning struggled against Florida
-
also remember, Luck threw 7 int in his last 6 games of his senior season. NOT including the Bowl game.
Drew Brees threw over 20 ints in one season in college and struggled against teams with more talent like Notre Dame and Penn State and look how he turned out. It doesn't necessarily mean anything.
-
The talent and speed level on Stanford and Oregon are not remotely comparable. Oregon has one of the fastest teams in the country and has way more talent across the board than Stanford.
It's well known that Luck didn't have any receivers to throw to last year. Oregon had the speed to cover their tight ends all game.

Signing an Irish boy right next to St, Patrick's Day...cant go wrong
Change his name to "Irish Bob Sanders'
With a name like Zbikowski i think "Polish Bob Sanders" makes more sense.
Colts Sign Donnie Avery

I liked this guy a ton coming into that draft and he had a good couple years with the Rams. I hope his injury didn't take everything completely out of him. If he's healthy he can fit really well in Arians' offense and its use of bubble screens.
