  1. Looks like Dan has the 148th pick and he took Trey McBride TE in Round 2 which was a good pick. Good luck.
  2. TY was a steal for us. Very good WR for his career, ROH material. Marv and Reggie were great, TY 3rd best WR we have ever had = very good level.
  3. I think if Luck had Ballard and Reich from the beginning, Luck would've had a Hall of Fame career and won a SB by now. JMO. He still may have retired early but would've played at least 10 years.
  4. @NewColtsFanwe usually do our yearly Colts W/L record predictions and we both nearly nail it each year. Usually we do it after the draft so I will save mine until then like you do, but early on I can see us winning 11 games, maybe 12. I hope we add 1 more playmaker like a good WR or TE. I don't think I have been so hyped for a season since 2018 when Luck came back off injury.
  5. I think we have a good team but even I am not predicting a SB Championship. Could we make a long run, sure but the AFC is loaded. I do think we win the South though. If we had Luck in his prime I think we would have a real good chance of winning it all. We don't have Luck, but Matt Ryan will give it a good shot IMO. I really like our D a lot now after getting Yannick and Gilmore. Taylor should be close to the same as last year as well, he is still young.
  6. Best overall team we have had since 2009 on paper. Assuming Matt Ryan is still on the good level and I think he is, no reason not to think so.
  7. Jordan Love would've been a bad pick. Nothing has shown he can be productive at the NFL level. I am glad we went with Rivers and now have Ryan. I wasn't for the Wentz trade so yeah Ballard is partly to blame for that one. I think the main reason why we traded for Wentz was because Reich wanted him badly and convinced Ballard we could win with him. Matt Ryan would've won 11 or 12 games with last years team IMO.
  8. Not really it set us back 5 years. Also I love it when you say Grigson = 2 Division Titles, 3 Playoff wins. Ballard = 0 Division Titles, 1 Playoff win. By your logic, Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino, Dilfer 1-0 when it comes to SB wins. See how silly that sounds. I get it, you can't stand Ballard and would rather have Grigson. You are in the minority I hate to tell ya.
  9. I am glad you posted this because I was just trying to be nice to the people that love Grigson. I was starting to feel like a butt by calling Grigson bad with a few saying he was just as good as Ballard.
  10. I think Grigson was average on a scale of bad, below average, average, good, very good, great to be fair despite being a jerk according to Reggie Wayne and Pat McAfee. As a GM he had a very good record but Andrew Luck was the main reason why. Grigson did some good things like draft TY Hilton and re-sign Reggie Wayne in 2012. His bad things were glaring though like his ability not to be able get a good O.Line in here and the trade for Trent, etc.. Ballard IMO is good, he drafts better and when Ballard had Luck as QB he went 10-6 and won a playoff game, when he had Rivers at QB he went 11-5. That alone proves how important having a good-great QB is. Grigson was very fortunate to have Andrew Luck from 2012-2014, he was able to compile a very good record over that time. In 2015 and 2016 with Luck not at 100% look at Grigson's record = 8-8 and 8-8. Ballard is the main reason why we were able to draft Jonathan Taylor, he has been the most impactful player we have had since Andrew Luck. He also drafted Darius Leonard with the 36th pick which was one of the best steals in any draft we have ever seen. If people could go back and do that draft again, Leonard goes top 15, maybe top 10. He drafted Nelson because Luck needed protection and Nelson was the perfect pick. Nelson is still a great player and I am glad we have him. One thing I don't like about Ballard is his failure's to bring in at least 1 or 2 game changing Free Agents to help the team to get the next level. I am not saying spend a lot of money but just that 1 or 2 game changing dude's. I love the Matt Ryan move but that was a trade. Same for the Buckner move - it was a trade though. When Grigson went for Free Agents he was getting washed up players like Andre Johnson who was damn near 33 years old at WR. Can't do that. No matter how much I talk some in here will still never get it. They will say what about Ballard in ability to draft WR's and CB's so just save it.
  11. Ballard went 11 and 5 with Rivers as well. I realize Ballard was the GM in 2017 but to count that year against him is a stretch. It wasn't his players or the coach he wanted. I guess if someone wants to say Ballard has been average then to fit their narrative, they are going to count 2017.
  12. After 2018 we were on our way to being an elite team with Luck at QB, most people can see that. It is unfortunate we never got to see it. When Luck retired it threw a wrench on the way Ballard wanted to build. I just hate when people say 'Grigson had a better record then Ballard has now', I mean oh really . He should've with Luck at his best from 2012-2014 and building a 33-15 record. My problem with Grigson was he never gave Luck an O.Line or a running game to help him. Luck carried those teams from 2012-2014 whether some want to admit or not. We had 1 game where a RB went over 100 Yards from 2012-2014 and we still won 11 games in those seasons. Then some will say, lets give Grigson credit, he drafted Luck, that is so laughable because an 8 yr old with any sense would've took Luck #1 that season. One thing I will give Grigson credit on is he went out and got Hasselbeck so yes we were able to go .500 that season in 2015.
  13. Grigson had Luck for 5 years healthy, Ballard had Luck 1 year and when we had Luck we went 10-6 and beat the Division Champion Texans easily on their home turf in 2018. Hell If I had Andrew Luck for 5 years I could win 50 games
  14. Grigson traded for Tolzien, nice try. Tolzien came in, in 2016. Ballard had nothing to do with acquiring Tolzien. He only kept him in 2017 because Luck was injured.
  15. Yeah but at least he didn't trade for trent and get a washed up Andre Johnson.
  16. Most will tell you that DE is much more valuable than OG. Who has helped their team out more, Nelson or Chubb in Denver? Since Chubb has been drafted they haven't made the playoffs and have had a losing season every year. With Nelson we have made it twice and really should've last year = 3 winning seasons (9-8 last year). 4 years worth of sample size = 2018-2021.
  17. I agree with this. There are outliers and how some don't see this is amazing. That would be like someone saying no way I would take Barry Sanders in the top 3 because he is a RB.
