Decisions based on health are never easy.

It’s also entirely possible the Colts plan to address RG in the draft.

Ballard has to have a few signings/trades up his sleeve.

We can’t draft a CB, WR, RG, & QB all within the first 2-3 picks. Expecting a 3rd rounder to start day 1 is a lot to ask for too.

I think Ballard signs a veteran offensive lineman + CB this week.

Only if Ballard is fine with it. If he wants him he will move up that one notch. Will depend on how they view Richardson and Levis.

On draft night, you only have 10 minutes to make a trade. A lot of teams are calling & it’s a higher risk imo.

Now granted,  if Arizona is asking for a 1st round pick or something crazy to move up one spot right now… i can see why Ballard would say no.
    Stroud is worth it tho.

If not its bc Watson is one of his favorite players and he has the same agent as Watson. Im not sure if he wants to go to Houston either. Could be why he mentioned liking Watson. I hope they do screw up and not pick him. I just highly doubt with Frank as the HC that they take Young though.

I think people are assuming we get Stroud if the top two QB’s off the board are Richardson & Young.

However, I guarantee LV, Seattle, or Detroit throws a huge package at Arizona to jump to No. 3 if that is the case. This is why Ballard shouldn’t leave it up to draft night

The vet QB market is kind of drying up. Minshew could have a lot of suitors. Foles has not been released yet so wondering if they are leaning that way since he is very cheap.

Foles is bad… I’d rather sign Minshew, Huntley, or even PJ Walker.

The QB I hope Colts are targeting is Huntley. He could run Steichen’s offense well & provide a competitive team until the rookie is ready.

I am not throwing a temper tantrum. It would be a horrible move. Irsay doesn’t have the guarantees to put into escrow either.

The owners will have to figure it out. I’m sure there are legal ways of easily  ensuring money is in escrow. Maybe they have private investors/banking institutions they use for this?

What are we going to do if Stroud/Young/Richardson pan out for us & they want a $275 million guaranteed contract in 4-5 years? That day will come for us & every other team.

Sean Payton already said Russell Wilson had one year to improve or he is cutting him. As far as Jeudy and Sutton go, the Broncos only have 5 draft picks, and none in the first two rounds, so they are looking to gain a top pick and to get Hamler some playing time this year. Tim Patrick is also returning from a torn ACL.

I don’t think he ever said that - could be wrong

Another thing no one has mentioned yet, is this doesn't cancel out the Okereke contract that he received. Okereke got an average of $10 million a year while Ebukam got an average of $9 million a year. So therefore, this signing doesn't cancel out Okereke and we get to keep our compensatory pick for now.

Is that how it works? Does it degrade our pick from say a No. 5 to a No. 6?

I’ve tried to understand compensatory picks for years, but it still gets confusing for me. The one thing I have noticed is the 49ers seem to get A TON every year.

  8. Several teams seem to be taking their times with the big cuts/trades.

    - Titans haven’t released Tannehill.
    - The Bengals are keeping Mixon at $21 Million??

    - Colts are still hanging on to Ryan & Foles?

    - Cardinals still haven’t traded or released Hopkins after reports say that he will likely be gone

I imagine A LOT of big moves are into come today & tomorrow.

In the past I would say you are being negative but at this point I am even annoyed by Ballard.

Oh I’m PO’d, but I think it’s Ballard AND Indy being a bottom 10 destination right now. We need to earn our reputation back.

With a great draft & a hit at QB, we can.

their gm is making great deals to improve the bronks, maybe he can give ballard lessons, lol

To be fair, they just signed Sean Payton, have famous owners that players know want to win, & play in Denver.

Indy just came off a 4-12-1 season, doesn’t have a QB, lives in a mediocre weather city, & has a new coach.

I’m annoyed too, but we don’t know the entire story. We could have offered 4 offers already & got rejected

Why would the Texans want to trade with them?

He is talking about a scenario where the Bears move to No. 2 in trade with the Texans.

Then, move to 4-5 with the Colts.

The Texans would want to do it in order to prevent the Colts, Seattle, Detroit, Tennessee, Carolina, etc trading the farm to get their guy
