Wide open on the 7-8 yard curls 3 times now.
Seems so easy for other teams compared to our offense

It is 100 times better than a loss because when we were down 20-3 this looked like a definite loss.
Right.
But watching the game in real time, we had two chances to win it. No excuses.
The shotgun runs to Taylor on 3rd & short non-stop are getting outrageous. Same for our kicking & fumbling issues

Why did Frank not call a timeout right away?
10 seconds is huge.

I’m kind of in disbelief lol heartbreak
At 13-3 i had hope, now it’s almost certainly over

Dang. We are dominating the game with TOP. Should have a lot more points right now.

Thanks for the gift Buffalo
Yeah Haack is looking solid.
I wonder what will happen if he kills it this season. Will Rodrigo have competition? Maybe Haack goes back to Buffalo?

Sam has to throw that 1st down ball away. Lost two yards carelessly
I thought the same thing. That’s high school level mistakes.
I was impressed with him last week, but he has looked like a PS player today. That overthrow to Patmon was awful lol

Not a fan having starters go in the 3rd game. Imo there is no real time to recuperate any minor injuries
It gives them two weeks. I'd rather risk it & get them a half of playing time. Tired of starting the season so poorly.

I won’t put too much stock into this game, but I will certainly weigh next preaseason game much heavier.
Oddly, the starters are not playing due to the 2 joint practices being held with Detroit this week. Week 3 vs the Buccaneers will be the dress rehearsal.
We always get off to a bad start each season. Hopefully, we get it all out of the way in the preseason this year vs. regular season.

Btw, I know this is off topic but I think Lynch priced Jimmy G so high bc he may want to keep him. My hot take is Trey Lance is a possible bust and Jimmy G is the 49ers best chance to win.
I doubt it. I would bet teams called the 49ers this off-season & asked about Lance. If they wanted to unload Lance & keep Jimmy they would

Sorry this is long, You can’t tell me these Colts players are happy. There is some stuff going on in the locker room.Yeah it’s starting to become apparent. It doesn’t make any sense what Ballard is doing. It would be different if we had a QB & a load of picks. We don’t. We need to sign one or two of these top FA’s left

I’m surprised that CLE got him for that package if it is reported ATL offered the same. ATL has a much higher draft position

Niners restructure Kittle and Armstead to create 18.7 million in cap space.
The Saints restructured contracts to create $70 million in cap space without cutting a single person. The 49ers, Chiefs, Cowboys, etc make it work - why does it seem like we only ever have one or two tiny restructures available each year? It seems like certain teams can go get whoever they want with zero cap rules

He might be waiting to see if they will trade for Watson.
I don’t know how they can pay both tbh. It’s wild how some of these teams make it work while others can’t

I don’t blame them.
I don’t either. But, it’s only going to get worse. It’s likely we have a new QB next off-season too unless we land Carr.
If it’s a rookie next off-season, we are another 2-3 years out from there.
Even with Carr, Ryan, etc, it’s a long shot we make it to an AFC Championship game with Burrow, Allen, Mahomes; Herbert, Wilson, Lawrence, & maybe Watson in the conference

Kenny Moore liked this tweet BTW.
I love Moore & Leonard, but if they start to cause issues - trade them. We aren’t winning a SB for several years. It’s frustrating for all of us

I liked Gregory a lot for the Colts but I knew deep down they weren’t spending that type of money on a guy with his history. Someone must have reminded Gregory that weed is legal in Denver not Texas.
NFL doesn’t even test for THC anymore to my knowledge. I know for a fact certain players use it

We need to make it happen
3 way trade for the Texans to get draft capital, we get Trey Lance, & the 49ers get Watson lol

That isn’t a bad deal at all. Surely he would have came to Indy for the same price.

I used to believe the logic in staying away from top tier free agents.
But, the last two SB winners show that times have changed. NE turned away from that philosophy & made the playoffs with a rookie CB.
It’s time for Ballard to start taking risks.

We’ll see what happens the next couple of days.
If we don’t get any tier 1 FA & go into the draft with as many major holes, I will lose my mind

The problem with that is that Evan Engram hasn't beem an impact TE. He came in with extremely high upside, but he has only really had 1 solid season in his career so far. On the plus side, he only had 3 drops last season instead of the 8 or 11 in prior seasons.
That & it makes the Kyler Granson pick questionable.

They have BB and are much more respected.
Ballard & Reich are also respected around the league. Hard knocks probably helped a little too

Man, Wentz really is playing backyard football. He is NOT the answer. I have defended him all year.
We are a wild card team at best next year with him. He will be serviceable for most of the year, but we aren’t winning 3-4 consecutive playoff games with him at QB

You could tell Kirk was getting that right away.
They just took off 9 minutes of the clock & get ball after half.
Pressure is on the Colts to score now
