I would think those who want the Colts to "lose out" to move up in the draft, would also be rooting for the Texans to win it all and draft #32.
-
Pretty soon it will be 9 months before the next Colts game. I'll watch and enjoy the last three games, win or lose.
-
Wasn't that The Monkees?
-
High expectations leads to greater disappointments. Back in the day, 8-8 or thereabouts was a solid season. Times are different now. 11-12 wins is the bar that has been set.
For most Colts fans and the organization 10-6 is now an "average" season. That's a good thing and I hope it never changes.

Texans have all divisional tiebreakers wrapped up, whether it's 2 team or 3 team tie.

so we can only win a tie with Tennessee...we lose ALL ties with Houston
Correct
-
In a 3 way tie Houston wins. Head to head Houston would be 3-1, Colts 2-2, Titans 1-3.
-
The only things I see as highly probable are:
titans losing to chiefs
texans losing to bengals
colts losing to raiders
All other games involving Titans, Texans and Colts are toss ups, including the Jaguars games.

and a couple bounces away from 10-3.....
Yes, that's the other extreme that was mentioned in a previous post. I neglected to quote it, which I should have.

Just a couple of bounces away from 3-10.

How was Pagano a hot coordinator prospect? He was a coordinator for one year with UNLV in 1991, one year with North Carolina in 2007, and one year with Baltimore in 2011. There was zero evidence that he had any knowledge or ability in building a defense or running a team. Now there is enough evidence to the contrary. Show him the door.

The Rams got a boatload of picks for RG3. Five years later they still stink.
What if the Colts traded the Luck pick and Lucks team goes 11-5 for the first 3 years, makes the playoffs all of those years, and those picks the Colts got are in the mid to high 20's?
We'd probably still have a lousy team AND we'd be looking for a quarterback.

I agree with this and would say it's true vice-versa as well. I think Irsay made it clear last offseason this is Pagano and Grigson's ship to sink. Either figure it out or you all go down together.
And
down
they
go

The other thing to remember is that 6-6 is a great record for the Titans. For the Colts 6-6 is a major disappointment.
-
Good, let them go out there every week feeling disrespected and playing like they have something to prove (which they do). As soon as the media jumps on your bandwagon, you're doomed.
-
In no particular order, we need 5 starters from draft and free agency. A tall order indeed.

Don't like the idea of keeping Gore as a back up.
Would prefer the two back ups to be a short yardage banger and a speedy elusive type.
Also don't think a future HOF player would take well to a back up role.
-
ICut ties at the end of the year. It's a position that needs a major upgrade.
Also doubt there is a legit contender that wants a very old running back who is slow to the hole and is easily ankle tacked. Once a great runner, but now, not so much.

I'm not going to quote the last 3 posts, but I'll say to NewColtsFan, 2006Coltsbestever and jskinnz:
thank you, thank you, and thank you!
60,000 of us will be walking out of Lucas Oil Stadium at around 4:00pm on Sunday, heading to our favorite watering hole to sooth our throats, sore from 3 hours of screaming for our 6-6, excuse me, 7-6 first place Colts! Because like you, we get it.

Not a smart challenge.

Have you seen Mathis in pass covering? It's very ugly
LOL, yes good point, but I've also seen McNary and Morrison in coverage. All options seem pretty scary.
-
Mathis...?
It worked for the Packers moving Clay Matthews inside.

My understanding is: Colts win head to head against Titans, eliminating Tenn...Colts /Texans tie head to head at 1-1...next tiebreaker between Colts /Texans would be divisional record, which the Texans could still win if they beat Jags.
That's incorrect. With 3 teams from the same division tied, meaning they have all played each other twice, it's the head to head record of each team vs the other two.
-
It's a long time between football seasons and I want 16 meaningful games with playoff implications. I want to see my team play as many games as possible. If the Colts win the division (regardless of their record) I am guaranteed at least 1 extra home game and get to enjoy another great weekend in my favorite city.
I'll let ownership and management worry about long term concerns.

Wouldn't mind giving McDaniels a shot as HC. Don't want any Ryans here in any capacity. Had enough of all the Browns, Ravens and "the U" connections for a while.
