I'm still not sold on Pittsburgh. They had two good weeks against the Colts and Ravens depleted secondary. The Ravens were hammering them
In the first quarter until Tallifero and Flacco's ridiculous turnovers. Big Ben is playing well, and that Brown kid is the real deal, but I don't thing the Bengals or Steelers will go far in the playoffs.
Pittsburgh has a bad defense, and lost in the mix when they put up stats on the Colts is that they got shredded to the tune of 400 yards by Andrew Luck. Old age will catch up with them plus they still have to play the Bengals twice... so I think the AFC North will be fun to watch as the season winds down. Cincy should win. As of now I would almost pick KC as my dark horse, but they have a tough schedule to end the year. I'm not sold on Miami so Buffalo it is.

2. Having watched Luck his whole career at Stanford and the 2+ years here, he is always trying to make a play, even when he shouldn't. He is one of the most competitive dudes on the planet.
3. I believe sloppy is due to a below average offensive line. Luck is certainly special and I doubt there is a QB out there who could do what he does behind this offensive line. I watched the Broncos and Pats yesterday and I was awed by the amount of time Tom Brady had in the pocket. When the time ever arrives where the Colts can protect Luck like that, there are some major records that are going to be broken and multiple SB wins.
4. Allen is a stud, but Fleener still looks soft to me and I am a Fleener fan.
6. Love Reggie, glad to see him score a TD also.
8. I think going forward, Nicks will prove to be a great signing.
Defense -
3. Brown and Adams played very well. Was extremely impressed with Brown.
4. VD is a pro bowl player, end of story. He is as valuable to the defense as Luck is to the offense.
Special Teams -
I don't care for Griff though, he is way too slow for my taste. I like him as a 5th WR, but he never gives you the hope that he can return one to the house.
3. I think even without protection Luck will break records, and is on pace to do so.
4. Allen is great both as a receiver and a blocker. I have a problem when people cal coby soft especially when he had a darn good game last night.
8. Nicks get lost in the mix. The signing will help, but ultimately Moncrief will be more productive.
Defensively
3. Sergio's level of play is most unexpected, but appreciated... and I hope he stays as a starter while Landry's days are numbered here in Indy. Adams I'm not that big a fan of so far.
4. VD is great. I hope we can say opposing teams got a bad case of VD every time they play us from now on.
Griff is slow as molasses, but I'd rather see him back there than T.Y., or of the other receivers.

Bruce is a great guy, and it is great to see him succeeding in Arizona. I was looking at the positions he has held as a coach... and the guy is like the guru of offense. Going from rb, te, qb, oc, wr, back to oc, and finally becoming a head coach this year.

Key words in this thread are... garbage time.

Newsome's stat line tonight....
7 tackles
5 unassisted
2 sacks
2 tackles for loss
1 additional QB hit
Nice. Very, very nice. He gets my game ball. The light appears to have gone on for the kid. If so, it couldn't have come at a better time!
If you saw some of the early video of Newsome from practice, or whatever that was posted you know the light has always been on. The guy has a motor... and he will be the future of the defense of our team. I like him that much. Johnathan has 14 tackles (11 solo) along with 3 sacks, and a forced fumble this year. Hr hasn't been on the field enough if you ask me.
-
He had 4 catches tonight for 40 yards... but gets easily lost in the mix with T.Y., Reggie, Allen, and Fleener all going strong. Plus Bradshaw and Richardson are pass catchers too. Hakeem Nicks is going to have to start doing something to separate himself form the defense, and the pack. I bet his snap count is pretty high the last two games without much to show for it than first downs.
-
I will say the instrumental trumpet National Anthem was a nice touch...
Always prefer the instrumental N.A.s at games...
I'm with you. I thought tonight's version was one of the best in a long time, and they should do that instead of bringing in people who try to over sing it... and look like fools. Start letting acts like that do the Super Bowl too.

Two weeks early.
-
No. Hammer time.

i'm not impressed by this thread, and now I'm taking my self to bed.
-
Offense the ball goes to Reggie who not only cried during the national anthem, but showed as Andrew Luck said "the old man still has some legs left."
Defensively Newsome is the man, and I think that young man will be a big part of this teams future. He even favorited my comment saying as much on twitter.
Special teams goes to Adam Vinatieri the ageless wonder for 26 straight made field goals. Not in the same game though... that would be a record.

It was the right call.
The ball was no where near Nicks.
The safety was the bad part because his arm was out of the endzone the grounding was indeed right.
-
As bad as the Colts looked. Pittsburgh was that much better because Luck still threw for 400 yards on them... I mean the two quarterbacks threw for a combine 900+ plus yards with the Colts sucking just a little more. Davis sitting out hurt, and Toler seems to get flagged a quite a bit. Things could be a lot worse.
-
T.Y. and Moncrief should be the dynamic duo for the Colts going forward with Reggie providing his leadership, and show them the way. At this point I'd rather see Griff in over Nicks.
-
Pick Ben Raplisburger. The guy looks nice in his prison uniform.
-
Should have been picked by Adams.
-
Defensive holding. The NFL wont show the replay because they know how bad it is for them.
-
Toler was all over him and he still caught it
Players get on guys, but are afraid to do more because just tapping a guy will result in a flag.
-
Carey is a clown, just like most of the refs.
Carey is the leader of the clowns.
-
I hope Pat McAfee has another onside kick in him.
-
Yeah, looked like it was.
A safety it was not, but the grounding call was right.
-
Mike is right for once. The video was clear that his arm was out of the endzone when he released the ball... man these refs f'n suck. Not just in this game, but all of them.
-
Hicks wasn't even near. He was passed the first down marker, and Lick throw it at the line of scrimmage.
Lick, lol.
-
His arm was out of the endzone was it not?

I think bringing him is helped with depth, and he could explode... but I just don't see it happening. Should he decide to comeback for a low price that would be a no brainer again. I can see a team like Carolina, or Jacksonville who will need receivers taking a shot at a player like him though, and most guys would jump at the shot to be number 2 vs. being a 20,30 yard a game player. The difference is that we offer him a chance to win a championship that the other mentioned wouldn't.
