  1. It's part of the the new CBA, fines are based on a percentage of the players salary.

Ok. I was wondering why all the fines seemed to be odd amounts like that, but never really looked into it. Thanks for the info.

  2. Rex probably won't be with the Jets come draft day.  Otherwise I'd say that's a lock.

But when Rex goes they are going to bring in a coach that can keep control of the locker room and that coach is going to come in and is going to be trying to get people like Chris Johnson and Percy Harvin under control he's not going to want to add Jameis Winston to that list.

And if Winston is going to have any chance at being successful he needs to go to a small market team.  Sending him to NYC is a disaster waiting to happen.

If Rex is gone I'd almost have to think the next guy will want his own player back there, and I just want to see what Jets fans say when they go after another quarterback. I think in such a case I'd just trade the pick. The o-line is as big a problem for them.

  3. He got hurt because he used his helmet as a weapon and tried to hurt Luck.  Only problem is that Luck got up and he didn't.

Good, he can stay down for all I care.  He shouldn't be playing football.  It's a dangerous enough sport when people are playing it without trying to hurt anyone.  You don't need a player in there who likes to lead with the helmet and twist ankles.

A lot of people on the Bengals board were calling him out for always leading with his helmet too which will probably lead to him having a short career.

  4. Getting hurt trying to tackle Andrew Luck.

If he hadn't been trying to twist player's ankles last game I wouldn't be making fun of him.

    Whiplash.

I'd imagine being Terence Newman, and seeing Bradshaw running at you would be pretty bad.

  5. I don't even think he goes that high.  If he does he goes to a really stupid team like Oakland or the Browns.

But his personal issues are so extensive that you just know he's do stupid stuff and go to jail and get suspended a lot.

I mean between Hernandez, Rice and Peterson, all recently I just don't see a team rolling the dice on this guy with a first or 2nd day pick.

I'm thinking 4th round.  And I'm not sure I like him there.  He has great talent but he's stupid and irresponsible and unless he suddenly changes, gets serious about football and starts behaving I can't see him being a successful NFL starter.

This certainly does not seem to be the guy that is going to be first in and last out and watching film on his time off.

    Winston to the Jets.

  6.

I believe the word is "speak."

    1. Did you know Andrew Luck and Bjoern Werner talk German to each other before games? WATCH: http://indcolts.co/0JYutP  pic.twitter.com/NnmAP3gLzP

You only get 140 characters to use... so you have to shorten some stuff which can be amusing, and drive some people nuts. That is cool that Bjoern has someone that can help remind him a little bit of home.

  7. In all seriousness I never got to see players like Jones. Instead I like many others got the joy of watching guys like Jack Trudeau, and then Jeff George who came along after being drafted first overall... and yeah he was from Indiana. However, his changing of colleges should have been a sign of things to come because he ended up playing for 9 teams in 13 years in the NFL because he was so hard to get along with out there. Nor was he very good. The first sign that things would get better was when Jim Harbaugh first arrived in 94, or whatever. 95 was magical, and a harbinger of things to come.

\The Colts also had another number 12 around that time  named Kerwin Bell who someone posted a gif a few days back of him spiking the ball into his own crotch while in the CFL.

\\St. Painter also deserves mention because without him we wouldn't be the team that we are today.

  8. Sadly, history suggests you are as right as Rush on this one

The interview I saw on the NFL's website with Brandon Marshal when asked by Boomer Esiason "Is there something between you and your quarterback" he said, and I quote: "I have a really nice condo, and Jay Cutler built that condo... so we are great." If you ask me that sounds like they are not on the best of terms right now. This Bears team is dysfunctional at best, and I think that is a recipe for disaster.

  9. What's the latest news on his injury? Will he be back for the Steelers game?

Still an ankle, and he is probably out against the Steelers. My guess is he will return for the Giants game... or after the bye week. He hasn't even been practicing lately.

  10. Yea your right but carn't belive dolphins let him. Go in first place

I'm sure they had a chance, and he was ready to leave that team... and he got out right before all the crap went down.

This forum has a great group of members from overseas. I must say that is great to see.

  11. You can't put your hands on the receiver, the qb's head, and Whalden should have known not to put his hands on the ref. That is grounds for ejection even if you were trying to talk to him about a bad call.
